Excellent experience. Great service. We showed up early and the table was ready. Server was knowledgeable, made good recommendations, and was always available. 6 of us, all the food was great. We had 2 pizzas with Detroit style crust. They nailed it with the caramelized cheese, crispy and perfect thickness crust. Fresh ingredients. Salads all around were perfect, including the sashimi salad and Caesar salads. Highly recommended read more

I had a great experience at Doughbird. My non-alcoholic Blackberry Ricky was solid--light and refreshing without being overly sweet. I ordered the chicken pot pie, which was excellent--flavorful and savory, with a buttery crust, a rich cream and chicken base, and no pesky peas. Easily the highlight of the meal. It's also a generous portion, big enough to share between two people, which is a nice bonus. I also sampled the sausage/mushroom and Hawaiian pizzas, both well-executed with fresh toppings and a great crust. Of the two, the Hawaiian stood out. I don't usually like Hawaiian pizza, but they pulled it off well--the ham was high quality, the pineapple was thinly sliced and cooked just enough to avoid overpowering the dish, and the jalapeño slices added a subtle heat. The ambiance was inviting, with stylish decor and cozy lighting, and our server was friendly. I'll definitely be back--I got my eye on the chicken tenders next time. read more

The pizza here was fantastic. We had the pepperoni and fresh mozzarella, which may sound boring but was a true step up for a classic. We also tried the truffle cheese bread, which had a bit too much cheese. The peanut butter brookie had potential but had one too many flavors. Old fashioned was ok. The Blackberry Rickey N.A. beverage was great! read more

The food was excellent. We loved the pot pie and the bbq chicken pizza! We didn't get any refills and had empty glasses for awhile, so that was the only bummer of the outing. It's pretty cold in there, so have long sleeves with you!! read more

I am going to do everything I can to come back during happy hour with just my wife and give it one last try but the service team here is so unorganized and the food was definitely sub par this time(except the hummus) Full picture i made a reservation for 6:30 even though fully expecting it to be pretty slow but didn't want to risk it. I arrived early and was seated at our table for 6 that they quickly transformed to 7 since we had another joining us. Our waitress Katie(same as first time)quickly got me a drink and I waited for my family to arrive. Once they arrived we ordered drinks and a Hummus to split into two plates with veggies so all could enjoy. Took a bit but the hummus arrived but no veggies(it took so long we were joking on how this freshly made hummus I raved about was freshly coming from the eastern hemisphere). Once it landed they did kindly split the bread as well and as we waited for the veggies or someone to come back and check up on us i started to pay attention to the staff. It seemed that our waitress was working the entire north end of the restaurant and some others too in an effort to help her teammates. As I watched everyone else from my vantage(not gospel but what I saw) was this did not seem to be what everyone else was doing. A lot of standing around or huddling together at the kiosk from what appeared to be 5 staff members plus a manager and a bartender. Finally we were able to get some help and they decided to bring us another humus with veggies which somehow once again the humus arrived and they had to go back for the veggies. We all ordered, (gotta assume it takes longer when fresh) and eventually food started coming out except a burger and fries, Katie came buy and asked how everything was and we expressed we didnt know as we were still waiting on a burger, she promptly went and grabbed it and we were able to dig in. My daughters burger as she said was okay and that she wouldn't order it again, wife's sisters salmon salad was good, and my nieces chicken and broccoli was as well but my wife's prime rib was extremely dry. Gotta say I've had a lot of prime rib and of all the bad ones it's usually flavor or over cooked, but dry is pretty hard to do on a medium rare item that's slow roasted. The steak itself was more medium and the flavor I thought was good but dry and tough it was indeed. Didn't ask for it but after we gave an honest answer on how the food was they removed it from the bill. Truly just bummed out, as they really had me hooked with that hummus, but if this is a small plate date spot just for that hummus and a drink I'll be there for happy hour with my beautiful bride often. Really really hoping this was a one off for them with maybe a new staff as they continue to work out the kinks. I will find time to come for happy hour and give it a third try and see if we can swing the vote back into the positive read more

Love this spot! Doughbird is perfect for a weeknight dinner out and is a crowd pleaser with a variety of solid menu items. Ambiance is both trendy and lowkey, good for family or casual date night. They have some fun quirky details, such as using a massive can of tomatoes for the pizza stand. Service was solid, waitress was sweet, attentive, and enthusiastic. Between three people we split 1) Simple caesar: as it states, it was your standard caesar. good portion size enough to feed 3 for a small appetizer salad 2) Sweet potato and brussel sprout pizza: LOVED this pizza. I appreciate how doughbird has such unique pies that you don't see elsewhere and they do them well. The roasted hearty vegetables paired super well with the herby ricotta, which added some brightness and soft texture. Would get this pizza again 3) Half rotisserie chicken, lemon garlic sauce and crinkle fries: Chicken had great flavor, nice crispy skin-quality rotisserie chicken. Got the lemon garlic dipping sauce which is delicious. It's essentially a lemon garlic butter which is so savory delicious with the chicken. My one complaint is that they would give you more sauce. The items listed above were a good amount of food for 3 people, had us full but not overly stuffed. read more

We had takeout and everything was DELICIOUS I'd definitely order there again. We had the prosciutto pizza and the truffle appetizer and they had this chocolate peanut butter dessert that was delicious read more

Great service and atmosphere, I caught the vibe even though I was only there for takeout. Pizza was good, the dough is the standout here. Got a salad which was great, no complaints. A bit pricey for two items might limit the frequency of take out and increase the chance of dine in. read more

Initially we went to the Neighborly next door, but there was a wait. Doughbird had a table available. I've been to the location on Indian School where i've enjoyed the pizza and other menu offerings in the past. I was really in the mood for a burger, but the one here only had shitty reviews on Yelp, so I'll leave a positive one! :) It's actually decent and huge. It's a standard pub burger cooked to your preference and comes with a ton of skinny fries. Service was quick and great -- Alex was very attentive. Will be back for pizza and the rotating menu. read more

I would definitely recommend Doughbird on Indian school Road for any type of occasion. We had dinner there for seven of us and the appetizers were delicious, service was excellent, the pizzas were amazing as well as the chicken dish that they are known for. Also amazing desserts! Doughbird is so aesthetic and has a warm, inviting feel. The wings were huge and so juicy, and honestly one of the best Caesar Salads I've had in Phoenix. Star of the show was definitely the chicken pot pie - I thought it would be overrated, but I was definitely proven wrong. Our server helped with picking the best decisions for a party of 2 to share some awesome food! read more

I had an intense sweet tooth and decided to stop at Doughbird to fix that. I sat at the bar and was greeted by two waiters. The restaurant has a lot of natural light and was very inviting! I ordered the butterscotch butter cake and it was divine. The vanilla bean ice cream paired perfectly with the butterscotch sauce. I will definitely be back to try some pizza soon! read more

As this establishment only recently opened, I was pleasantly impressed with the organization and smooth service by the staff. Our waiter, Brandon, was very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. We went on a Friday afternoon and even though it was not yet 4 o'clock, the bar was quite busy. We were able to get a table immediately. It was happy hour (3-6 pm, M-F) and I ordered a Scottsdale blonde lager. Unfortunately it is not on tap, but it still tasted great. I ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza which had great flavor. The crust was just right. I wish the mushrooms had been cut a little larger. Almost all the wait staff were wearing brown shoes, which was a nice touch. We ate inside and we were a little surprised at the level of noise. Obviously a lot of people were enjoying themselves. There are three TV screens so you can probably watch whatever sporting event affects Phoenix. I hear the chicken pot pie here is awesome so I'll try that next time. read more

Take flight with "Doughbird's" second location at the Colony, on 7th, an aviation themed local spot featuring Doughbird's mascot, "Von Zizzle." PIzza and Rotisserie chicken, the best of two worlds, can be enjoyed here. For starters, the lebanese hummus, a family recipe, is a nutty, beany, and creamy delight with olive oil, garlic and lemon, and hearth bread for dipping.. Love the blistered shishito peppers that come with a soy and citrus- yuzu sauce, lending a delicious umami flavor to the peppers. Pizza: Doughbird's signature dough recipe is a lighter and healthier crust using organic flour from Central Milling. Though the majority of pizzas are thin crust, Fox wanted to add the iconic square shaped and crunchy Detroit Style pizza to the menu, and is only available at this Dough Bird location. Popular pizzas on the menu: The Aviator, their signature, a meat-heavy pie with sweet glazed bacon, The Copper Hat (prosciutto, goat cheese, medjool date, salted pistachio, arugula), or the Black Truffle Mushroom with smoked mozzarella. Chicken: Dry-rubbed chicken, served as a half or whole bird, is served from the rotisserie golden brown and packed with flavor. Order this with the pureed potatoes and gravy. This family friendly eatery offers a slew of other items if you're not craving pizza or chicken. Salads, sandwiches, pot pie and prime rib are familiar staples for any palate. Cocktails: Sip on refreshing libations such as the The Local (strawberry infused vodka, french grapefruit liqueur, lemon, sparkling wine) or the Spicy Blackberry Margarita (blanco tequila, habanero pepper, tajin, fresh lime) Finish your meal with a sweet finish and order the Peanut Butter Brookie, a warm chocolate brownie & peanut butter cookie. served à la mode (best of both worlds) read more

I had been looking forward to their second location for a bit since it's closer to where I live. The first time I tried doughbird was over a year ago and I was drooling just thinking about their sweet potato pizza. Unfortunately I was so disappointed to see that they change the recipe. When I tried it Feb last year it had bacon and pistachios however now it only includes sweet potato and Brussels sprouts. This was a major let down for me. I had been craving this pizza for over a year. The pizza was good but not great. I definitely remembered it way better than what it was. The restaurant was spacious. It was a little too loud for my liking however the Diamond Backs were playing so it might have been that too. Service was okay. I would consider coming back if they bring back the original ingredients, otherwise I'm not sure there's anything that stands out to pull me back in. read more

Stopped by Doughbirds new location and I was impressed. I expected no less, as I'm a big fan of their other location. I ordered curbside and was able to pull up and get my order really quick. Forgot to take a pic of the rotisserie chicken but it was great! The Mac and cheese was delicious, but it did need to be mixed a little, as all the cheese was on the bottom for some reason. First time trying a crispy chicken sandwich and won't be the last. The piece of chicken was massive and tasted great! The lemon meringue pie is always a favorite too! read more

Food was phenomenal! Had the Wings, Pizza and Ingredients Salad. Life changed for the better. Let's start with the wings, an interesting take on Buffalo Wings. Slow cooked for 12 hours and flash fried to perfection! Sauce has a nice subtle sweetness! Served deconstructed sliced veggie carrots and celery. Detroit style Pizza was crispy and fluffy with a delightful sauce and pepperonis and jalapeño for a nice spice kick. Ingredient salad was superb. Excellent texture achieve by chopped Brussel sprouts, kale, and a nice candied pecan surprise for crunchy goodness. Farro and sweet potatoes and raisins. Tastiness. Server was prompt, friendly and thorough. Ambiance is next level. Aeronautical themed, well-designed aesthetic. read more

Ahh yes; another Fox Restaurant Concepts gem conveniently located on restaurant row in the heart of Phoenix! Cleansed of the mid restaurants of Casa Anejo and Bevvy, Doughbird is a welcomed addition to the area. Although this location is smaller than the one on 44th St. and Indian School, it definitely is big on vibes and friendly attitudes. We ordered the Pepperoni Chips, Truffle Cheese Bread, Sausage and Mushroom Pizza (hand stretched), and a dozen Dry Rub Wings w/ Spicy Buffalo sauce on the side. They give the option of Detroit style (similar to their Fly Bye restaurant) or hand stretched pizza, and the latter was absolutely tasty (not too doughy with the right amount of chew) with quality toppings. Everything was absolutely delicious, however it is very apparent that this location does not use the same type of oven that they use at the other location (wood-burning fire based). I want to emphasize that this is not a bad thing, but rather different styles/different tasting pies. Both styles are delicious in their own way! The service was also very attentive and prompt. The waiter Brandon did an excellent job given we were one of the first tables during their "sneak peek weekend." Overall a great experience, and it lives up to its name by serving up delectable dough and bird! read more

Doughbirds for Christmas Eve dinner! They were out of the prime rib (bummer) but accommodated with the sliced prime rib that goes on the sandwich. We started with pepperoni chips (so good, 10 stars) and wings. Our table had a pepperoni pizza and a spicy Hawaiian (my husband's favorite). My mom had the salmon- the star of the show. Cooked to perfection, crispy Brussels annnnnd the most delicious quinoa salad. We were seated outside- there are heaters but it was still chilly, would have preferred indoors. My sister and I had such a good yummy happy hour, which was also probably dinner. The best customer service. They treat you like a family. Alicia, the manager, was the best. She heard me tell my sister that the butter caramel cake looked yummy. So what does she do? She brings us one on the house!! I will keep coming back here, not just for a free dessert but because of the yummy food, drinks, and everything in between. The best place ever. Thank you, Arcadia location. Love you. read more

I went to Doughbird on a Friday night. I've been looking forward to this location to open off 7th. Who doesn't love another gold restaurant in the neighborhood? Loved the Friday night energy but didn't love the food. The sweet potato and Brussels pizza was not as tasty as I remember. The black truffle mushroom pizza sounded better on paper. The warm butterscotch cake was the best thing we tried, definitely shareable as it's a little too sweet for 1. Lots of good pizza in the valley. If I'd come back I'd try something else. read more

I stopped in for their Happy Hour (M-F 3-6) at this new location for DB. They remodeled the space according to their brand and it feels nice. There is a strong staff smiling presence as you walk in, which makes you feel welcome. I like to sit at the bar, mostly when watching a FB/BB game. They have a few TV's placed around but not the best for sitting at the bar (not a big deal). I managed to find the seat which allows visibility to a TV. The service at the bar was friendly and attentive. I grabbed a few beers from the HH menu and ordered the 3 pc chicken tenders. I only wanted a small bite w the beers. All in all everything was good. The menu looks tasty and look forward to trying some other items. It's good to have another strong brand in the neighborhood and I will add it to my rotation for local spots. read more
