Had a good GNO here. The place was pretty packed. There was a slight mix up with our table when I arrived, but it eventually got straightened out. The hostess wasn't the friendliest, but it was a busy night and she looked a bit stressed. Ambiance is nice, a bit loud, dimmed warm lighting and an open air kitchen. Nice bar area. Our group tried a few different drinks, some were better than others, and the drinks were a bit small. Lots of ice and adornments..not much alcohol. The food was great! Everyone loved their dishes. My lasagna was delicious! Everything looked as good as it tasted, which is always good. Ill definitely be back.

This is our go to place for Italian cuisine. Service is always friendly and efficient. I dropped my knife and someone appeared right away to replace it. We usually order from their daily special and we have not been disappointed yet. A nice date place

Doppio Zero Pizza and nectarine salad (seasonal)- just fyi, this is a collage photo, so the pizza is zoomed in and the salad looks tiny

We had the seasonal nectarine salad and doppio zero pizza. Nectarine Salad- Refreshing. We added chicken for extra protein. I usually don't care for goat cheese, but it was so fresh and tasty in this salad. A fruity and tart salad that serves as a nice, light appetizer. Doppio Zero Pizza-a white sauce pizza. I had trouble choosing which pizza to get but having seen that this one had burrata cheese, it was an easy decision after that. This pizza is good but it is heavy. The burrata and oils make it a very creamy pizza. The dough is soft and pillowy. I'd get this again! My friend and I shared both. We both arrived for a late lunch and were hungry, but we still felt very full afterward. On a day with nice weather we opted to sit at one of their many outdoor tables with umbrellas. It's located in a shopping plaza so you can walk off your food coma or hit up the desert spot next door for something sweet. Parking was easy with a huge shopping plaza lot, but it definitely does get busy so you might have to walk further on a weekend.

I have been here several times with my sisters. I believe we first went here somewhere in September and our subsequent visits here have been fantabulous 100%. For starters, you have got to try the burrata and truffle fries. Truffle fries are spectacular, and not too crispy. They are perfect. The burrata is also spectacular. Simple but lovely. Also, try the prosciutto and burrata. Very snazzy. My favorite dishes are between the ravioli, fungo pizza, gnocchi and so much more. Also, drink-wise, my favorite mocktail is the passion paradise. Service here is always spectacular. I've been a regular since September. And the environment is always filled with people visiting Veranda. Stop by here when you have the chance. I guarantee you will be satisfied.

Great happy hour with many items available. $4 off all wines and cocktails. We had a personal pizza along with several other happy hour items, including broccolini beats with burrata, shrimp and arugula, and a prosciutto board. Plenty of seats at happy hour and on a nice day the outdoor patio is quite pleasant. Food came out quickly and we enjoyed an early dinner after doing some shopping. The shopping center gets very busy on the weekends but on a weekday it's a nice option, with several outlets. Nice to save a little money at the outlets and have a nice happy hour option.

We're here yesterday with my son's lunch work.First time for me to eat in a twice Michelin 2019 and 2021 awardee and top pizza awardee. We were greeted right away and lead to our seats.staff gentleman is nice and friendly,we have so many questions for him like,is the food fried in peanut oil, what pizza made this as top ranking awardee and which food made it as Michelin awardee .We ordered calamari and shrimp for starters and its lightly breaded, fried to perfection and well seasoned. We also have Margherita pizza of course, which has thin crust, very delish,(Marechiaro)inked pasta with clam and scallops, the pasta is Al dente, smells so good as soon as they served it but the scallops are tiny,we also have ( Branzino)fried sea bass which is also good, all of our food came in a very nice presentation and all of them tasted great.i have seen reviews here that they have complimentary bread and I think almost all Italian restaurants i've been to have complimentary bread but this restaurant didn't have when we came here. The restrooms are gender neutral and hand washing is outside the stalls.Furry babies are welcome in their patio seatings

Had a quick lunch a with friends. Service was fast and friendly, and the food arrived quickly without compromising on quality. I had the Marechiaro, theseafood was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the light, garlicky tomato sauce complemented it beautifully without overpowering the flavors. It's the perfect spot for a casual catch-up, business lunch, or easy midweek treat.

‼Take-Out Only Review‼ Hi y'all, I did not dine in for this review but from the looks of the photos, it looked pretty tidy, clean, and beautiful ambiance. 9.5/10 - Pera Pizza + Shrimp When ordering I totally forgot there was bacon on it so I added shrimp as a protein. Pretty pricy @$7 for 6 shrimp (when I opened the pizza box). But I say worth it and was a good choice. The dough was nice and airy with the slight crunch from the fire char. I wish the pears were seared or caramelized somehow prior to placing on pizza but the sweetness does come out nicely in every bite. Gorgonzola would've thrown this pizza out of the park. I also asked for cheese for the pizza and they gave me these preserved cheese packets which I didn't care for. Usually nice restaurants like this will have preheated fresh cheese on standby for Togo orders in mini containers. That would definitely be a good addition Doppio could implement. 10/10 - Kid's Alfredo Slight parsley served atop some freshly made bucatini and the cream of the sauce was in-house made. The texture of the pasta was al dente and the Alfredo was heavier on the cream and butter in a good way. Not too salty or cheese as most store bought or some restaurants use. THAT's how I could tell it was made in house. Overall 5/5 rating for my first takeout experience here! I'd recommend indefinitely and coming back to try their Oxtail pasta and Marg Pizza!

We made a last-minute reservation for a friend's birthday and were so happy they were able to accommodate us just a few hours in advance. The staff was kind enough to store the birthday cake we brought in their fridge until we were ready for it--such a thoughtful touch! We ended up being a group of six (though we had originally expected eight) and ordered a mix of dishes to share. The appetizers--bruschetta and burrata--were a perfect start. I had the veggie ravioli, which was delicious, while the lasagna was also a standout. My friends ordered pizza, steak, squid ink pasta, oxtail pasta lamb, and everything was excellent. They got us our cake to cut later. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a wonderful night. We'll definitely be coming back to try even more dishes!

I came here for a work lunch and prior to doing so, I looked at my previous review and got pretty excited. Unfortunately, this experience 4 years later was not as magical. First off, we had a very large party, so we were seated outside. It was pretty cold and windy. When we asked if the heat lamps could be turned on, the staff said that none of them were working. The staff was pretty nice, so I blame that on management. Anyways, on to the meal. I gave the bread 10 stars last time - it must have come out straight from the oven. Kind of hard to meet that expectation, but this time around was maybe 3 stars if I'm being generous - not needed for the meal. We ordered quite a few appetizers including Brussels Sprouts and Calamari. Everything was decent except for the artichokes, which were super salty. I split two entrees with a work friend. They were running a special holiday menu and I was pretty happy with the Ossobuco with Truffle Risotto. Meat was fall apart tender, risotto didn't taste too much like truffles, but was fine. The La Carne pizza was alright, but the crust needed some help - thin and flimsy. We ended trying out a few desserts (Tiramisu and Panna Cotta) and I thought they were all great. This visit was more like 2.5 stars, but giving them the benefit of the doubt based on my previous experience.

I've enjoyed several lunches and one dinner at Doppio Zero over the past couple of years. It was crowded and quite noisy the night I introduced DH to DZ. (We arrived at the tail end of Happy Hour.) While a crowd is good for business, our table for two felt a bit close to other diners and our "senior ears" found conversation a bit hard. We both enjoyed our dinner entrees: rib eye ravioli for DH and salmon with forbidden rice for me. Sauce on the salmon dish was very tasty. We shared the hazelnut tartufo for dessert. Typically for lunch at DZ, I order a salad. Most recently my choice was the nectarine salad on a base of arugula along with goat cheese and pumpkin seeds and dressed with a lemon honey thyme vinaigrette. I added shrimp. (Chicken is the other add-on option.) I was joined by two former work colleagues who have larger appetites than I. Our table had lots to share: excellent brushcetta and a generous amount of warmed olives. We had a bottle of sparkling water along with a pleasant Italian Chardonnay. One friend had a salad followed by a pizza (with half of the pizza left "to go.") The other friend enjoyed his pasta dish. (Not sure exactly what it was, but it looked delicious.) Then it was on to dessert. The pasta-eating friend kept his simple: an espresso with a twist of lemon. Since my one friend didn't finish his pizza, he had room for cannoli. One reason I usually order salads is I like to save room for dessert. My first thought was to order the panna cotta, always a favorite of mine in Italian restaurants. But I couldn't resist the dessert of the day: pistachio cake. So light ... a true delight! And I still ended up with the panna cotta! My friend had ordered it ahead of time for my birthday. And it even came with a candle and singing servers. Our server, Lara, was knowledgeable and professional. She was very patient with us. Our lunch stretched on for more than two hours. We were the last of the lunch crowd, but the staff was still smiling ... even though it was obvious they all needed a break before Happy Hour. Doppio Zero is my favorite spot in the Veranda/Willows area. Good people, good food! Try it soon if you haven't already.

If you're looking for a cute date spot or sunset dinner, this is the place! Such a vibe and super good food too! We got the pasta and the pizza and they were both super yummy! They also have happy hour here though unfortunately we were too late to do it! Overall good place to eat but definitely a little expensive. Expect to pay at least $30 per person for just an entree. But the vibes make up for it!

Is there a complimentary bread or is this a thing from the past?

I went there over the holidays and we didnt get bread until we asked for it. It was still complimentary though.

    Any birthday give a ways?

A complementary gelato or panna cotta

Is the delizia pasta going to come back?

It appears on the special of the day menu every now and then.

    Is there Happy hour?

There is! They have a separate happy hour menu on their website.

    How's the parking?

This restaurant is in a huge shopping center with a very ample parking lot. But with this shopping center being so packed and popular, it can still be challenging on the weekends.

Is this the same owners as Doppio in Hayes, SF?

Yes! There's a Mountain View location too.

Is there a private dining area / banquet room?

There is not, but they are very accommodating for large groups, if that is helpful.

Are there heaters over the tables outside?

    Yes they have outdoor heaters

    Is there still outdoor seating?

    Yes several tables

    Do they have stuffed crust?

We do not at this time Thank you

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes we do have gluten-free pasta that can be substituted in any pasta dishes We do not have gluten-free pizza… Read more

    How's the squid ink pasta?

    My husband loved it!

    What vegan options are there?

I believe the delizia pasta is vegan but that's about it. Most vegetarian options have cheese but I'm sure they could leave it off.

What size are the pizzas? Are they bug enough for 2?

I think they're 16 inches, between a standard small and medium. It's more than enough for one, and good to share maybe paired with a salad.

    Are dogs allowed outside?

Should be fine because it's outside.

The food took a while also. Not once did she come back to check on us to see if we wanted another drink while we were waiting. She was nice enough, and maybe this is her first wait job, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. However, we noticed quite a few of the staff were just standing around. Hats off to the person who does their Instagram - they make the place look huge, but it's not. Everyone at the table said their dish was very tasty. You HAVE to try the ftench toast a try. Had Keep Calm and Crab On, Stuffed French Toast, Chicken & Waffles, Pipikaula Ribs and Flatbread…read morefor appetizer. This is more than just eating; it's a dining experience. Keep Calm and Crab On is their version of Crab Benedict. Everything about this Benedict is special and unique. Instead of the traditional lemony hollandaise sauce, it had a brown butter hollandaise. The brown butter's nutty and slight sweetness complemented the crab flavor that you can still taste the crab instead of getting overpowered by the sauce. They use loose real crab meat; not the crab patty type so no fillers. Really good amount of minced crab meat that it's nicely proportioned with the biscuit. Instead of English muffin, they use a big scallion biscuit. The biscuit was toasty on the bottom and the rest was moist with little pockets of honey. The poached egg's yolk was a bit more cooked than the traditional jelly or runny yolk but it did not make this dish any less yummy. Crispy hashbrown on disk shaped. Every part was great. 5/5 stars. The best Crab Benedict I've had and I've had quite a few. The waffle in the Chicken and Waffle was very crispy but at the same time almost flaky. It was not the dense fluffy type but it was easy to eat. It's like a cross between a croissant and waffle. The syrup was lighter than the thick pancake syrup. The waffle is 5/5 stars. The Chicken part of this dish is basically like a Taiwanese popcorn chicken that you can get from a boba place. Bite sized dark meat chicken battered and fried. Served with Sriracha mayo type sauce and syrup. 3/4 stars. The Stuffed French Toast tasted like lemon meringue pie. Sweet lemony filling. The French Toast itself was fluffy but at the same time nicely soaked in custard. Slight cinnamon flavor. It came with a thick slice of bacon which is more like a slice of grilled pork belly that was buttery and umami. 4/5 stars. The Pipikaula Ribs plate had 3 slices of bone in short ribs, kimchee fried rice and two over medium eggs. The short ribs were grilled and looked like the sweet Korean BBQ short ribs but it's more savory with peppery flavor rather than sweet. Tender meat. The genorously portioned Kimchee rice was mostly spicy. 3.5/5 stars because the Kimchee was too spicy to fully enjoy the dish. The Flatbread appetizer had a good amount of mozzarella cheese melted on top soft fluffy flatbread with salty prosciutto slice in between. Topped with perfectly poached egg. Wish they offer fountain soda vs bottled ones. Each dish was eye so pleasing that couldn't wait to dig into it as soon as they landed on the table. Staff, Anna Lisa, was very pleasant and just made us felt comfortable; which was important because it's our first time dining here. Nice comfortable dining room with high ceiling and big windows. Great food with quality ingredients and thoughtfully put together menu, welcoming staff, relaxed ambiance. Will definitely return.

The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

Since it was our first time, I played it safe and had ceased salad with added grilled chicken. Portion size was enough for two people. Overall, I would give the food a good rating. Server (Diego) was also good! On the flipside, the bathrooms were TERRIBLE (not clean) and if you use any type of walking device beware, wheelchairs won't fit through the door and the two small stalls were a joke. They need to reevaluate the meaning of a handicap bathroom(not to mention the door doesn't have a button to open or close). I plan to dine there again but hopefully, they do something about the bathroom soon. Oh, and the ambiance outside was very nice for picture purposes

Finally found a new favorite restaurant in Pleasanton! I've been seeing Ruby & Roses pop up on my…read morefeed for a while, and my best friend and I love trying new spots. We ended up celebrating my birthday a little late here, and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant itself is beautiful--my friend took so many great photos. It has very romantic vibes, but I was also surprised by how many larger groups were dining there, like work teams out for dinner. There are so many photo-worthy spots throughout the space. Now, let's talk about the food. I started with a glass of Pinot Noir. The truffle fries had great flavor, though they could've been cooked a bit longer. That said, the Caesar salad was incredible. It's so hard to find a restaurant with a truly good Caesar dressing, and this one nailed it. I'm literally craving it as I write this. We split it as an appetizer, and it's a generous portion--if you order it on your own, definitely add chicken or salmon. For our mains, my friend ordered the blackened salmon and I had the lamb chops. The truffle purée and potatoes that came with the lamb were a bit too salty for my taste, but the lamb itself was cooked absolutely perfectly. The blackened salmon was also a hit--no misses there. We were both very happy with our dishes. We finished with the molten cake, and I asked nicely if they could add raspberries and almonds, which they happily accommodated. Overall, this place still deserves five stars. There were a few minor things I would personally tweak, but we'd absolutely come back to try more dishes. That Caesar salad, though? I'm ordering it again--no question. Definitely check this place out!

I found this place on Instagram and came out for drinks one night it's somewhat of a hidden door as it is a speakeasy so come prepared with the password. We only had to wait a few minutes on an early Friday evening, but got in fairly quickly. From the entrance to the bathroom to the seats, everything was just so cute. Besides the ambience, drinks were delicious. I got some drink that had some bell pepper flavors and it's surprised me in the best way possible because who knew you could have some bell pepper essence in a drink. Seriously, top 5 cocktail lounges in my opinion.

When we left around 9:30pm there was a small line. The cocktails here are pricier but I would come back for special occasions or when we have visitors. They had signature drinks but also a limited specials menu. The specials included a drink with Thai flavors (galangal, coconut, kefir lime leaf, Thai chili, butterfly leaf tea, etc) and it was so good! I hope they keep this drink on the menu and I'm excited to see what new craft cocktails they come up with. Overall a fun experience to add to your night out in Downtown Livermore!
