The Dude and I came to Doppio Zero at The Veranda awhile ago because we were craving pizza, cocktails, and a late-night meal. When we arrived, it wasn't very busy, although it looked like they had recently finished hosting a larger group event. The atmosphere was much more formal and upscale than we expected, but still welcoming and comfortable. We started with cocktails, which were well-made and balanced. For dinner, we ordered pizza and were impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The crust had a great texture, and everything tasted fresh without feeling overly heavy. We also shared dessert and it was the perfect way to end the evening. Service was attentive throughout the meal, and despite arriving later in the evening, we never felt rushed. Overall, Doppio Zero delivered exactly what we were looking for that night: good cocktails, great pizza, a relaxing atmosphere, and a nice place to unwind after a long day. We would definitely return when we're in the mood for an elevated pizza night.

Mother's Day reservations and they were packed! But we were seated right on time and the staff was so friendly. The food here is great! Of course the pizzas are delicious but so are the pasta dishes and the small plates. Our favorite deserts are cannoli and tiramisu! Great cocktail menu and wine list as well. This place is a gem!

    Carciofina Pizza

I came last week and ate outside because the weather was great. I ordered the vegetarian Carciofina pizza which has basil pesto, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, olives and Calabrian chilies. The menu lists black olives but they were Kalamata which I prefer so that was a plus. The only issue I had was the oil from the pesto made the dough extremely greasy/oily and my plate had a lot of oil sitting underneath the pizza. The waiter was very kind and had the kitchen remake it with less pesto, less cheese and cooked slightly longer. The pizza was fantastic albeit still oily but I took half home and enjoyed it for breakfast.

I've been here many times. The fresh pasta is my favorite. Most recently I came with my friend just to try the desserts for the first time. We sat at the bar and the bartender recommended these 3 different desserts and his special drink. We very happy with his recommendations.

Had a good GNO here. The place was pretty packed. There was a slight mix up with our table when I arrived, but it eventually got straightened out. The hostess wasn't the friendliest, but it was a busy night and she looked a bit stressed. Ambiance is nice, a bit loud, dimmed warm lighting and an open air kitchen. Nice bar area. Our group tried a few different drinks, some were better than others, and the drinks were a bit small. Lots of ice and adornments..not much alcohol. The food was great! Everyone loved their dishes. My lasagna was delicious! Everything looked as good as it tasted, which is always good. Ill definitely be back.

Doppio Zero Pizza and nectarine salad (seasonal)- just fyi, this is a collage photo, so the pizza is zoomed in and the salad looks tiny

We had the seasonal nectarine salad and doppio zero pizza. Nectarine Salad- Refreshing. We added chicken for extra protein. I usually don't care for goat cheese, but it was so fresh and tasty in this salad. A fruity and tart salad that serves as a nice, light appetizer. Doppio Zero Pizza-a white sauce pizza. I had trouble choosing which pizza to get but having seen that this one had burrata cheese, it was an easy decision after that. This pizza is good but it is heavy. The burrata and oils make it a very creamy pizza. The dough is soft and pillowy. I'd get this again! My friend and I shared both. We both arrived for a late lunch and were hungry, but we still felt very full afterward. On a day with nice weather we opted to sit at one of their many outdoor tables with umbrellas. It's located in a shopping plaza so you can walk off your food coma or hit up the desert spot next door for something sweet. Parking was easy with a huge shopping plaza lot, but it definitely does get busy so you might have to walk further on a weekend.

I have been here several times with my sisters. I believe we first went here somewhere in September and our subsequent visits here have been fantabulous 100%. For starters, you have got to try the burrata and truffle fries. Truffle fries are spectacular, and not too crispy. They are perfect. The burrata is also spectacular. Simple but lovely. Also, try the prosciutto and burrata. Very snazzy. My favorite dishes are between the ravioli, fungo pizza, gnocchi and so much more. Also, drink-wise, my favorite mocktail is the passion paradise. Service here is always spectacular. I've been a regular since September. And the environment is always filled with people visiting Veranda. Stop by here when you have the chance. I guarantee you will be satisfied.

This is our go to place for Italian cuisine. Service is always friendly and efficient. I dropped my knife and someone appeared right away to replace it. We usually order from their daily special and we have not been disappointed yet. A nice date place

Cruddy ToGo Cheese - wish they gave the real stuff shredded into a small container for take out

‼Take-Out Only Review‼ Hi y'all, I did not dine in for this review but from the looks of the photos, it looked pretty tidy, clean, and beautiful ambiance. 9.5/10 - Pera Pizza + Shrimp When ordering I totally forgot there was bacon on it so I added shrimp as a protein. Pretty pricy @$7 for 6 shrimp (when I opened the pizza box). But I say worth it and was a good choice. The dough was nice and airy with the slight crunch from the fire char. I wish the pears were seared or caramelized somehow prior to placing on pizza but the sweetness does come out nicely in every bite. Gorgonzola would've thrown this pizza out of the park. I also asked for cheese for the pizza and they gave me these preserved cheese packets which I didn't care for. Usually nice restaurants like this will have preheated fresh cheese on standby for Togo orders in mini containers. That would definitely be a good addition Doppio could implement. 10/10 - Kid's Alfredo Slight parsley served atop some freshly made bucatini and the cream of the sauce was in-house made. The texture of the pasta was al dente and the Alfredo was heavier on the cream and butter in a good way. Not too salty or cheese as most store bought or some restaurants use. THAT's how I could tell it was made in house. Overall 5/5 rating for my first takeout experience here! I'd recommend indefinitely and coming back to try their Oxtail pasta and Marg Pizza!

We made a last-minute reservation for a friend's birthday and were so happy they were able to accommodate us just a few hours in advance. The staff was kind enough to store the birthday cake we brought in their fridge until we were ready for it--such a thoughtful touch! We ended up being a group of six (though we had originally expected eight) and ordered a mix of dishes to share. The appetizers--bruschetta and burrata--were a perfect start. I had the veggie ravioli, which was delicious, while the lasagna was also a standout. My friends ordered pizza, steak, squid ink pasta, oxtail pasta lamb, and everything was excellent. They got us our cake to cut later. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere made for a wonderful night. We'll definitely be coming back to try even more dishes!

Great happy hour with many items available. $4 off all wines and cocktails. We had a personal pizza along with several other happy hour items, including broccolini beats with burrata, shrimp and arugula, and a prosciutto board. Plenty of seats at happy hour and on a nice day the outdoor patio is quite pleasant. Food came out quickly and we enjoyed an early dinner after doing some shopping. The shopping center gets very busy on the weekends but on a weekday it's a nice option, with several outlets. Nice to save a little money at the outlets and have a nice happy hour option.

Ask the Community - Doppio Zero Concord Veranda

Is there a complimentary bread or is this a thing from the past?

I went there over the holidays and we didnt get bread until we asked for it. It was still complimentary though.

    Any birthday give a ways?

A complementary gelato or panna cotta

Is the delizia pasta going to come back?

It appears on the special of the day menu every now and then.

    Is there Happy hour?

There is! They have a separate happy hour menu on their website.

    How's the parking?

This restaurant is in a huge shopping center with a very ample parking lot. But with this shopping center being so packed and popular, it can still be challenging on the weekends.

Is this the same owners as Doppio in Hayes, SF?

Yes! There's a Mountain View location too.

Is there a private dining area / banquet room?

There is not, but they are very accommodating for large groups, if that is helpful.

Are there heaters over the tables outside?

    Yes they have outdoor heaters

    Is there still outdoor seating?

    Yes several tables

    Do they have stuffed crust?

We do not at this time Thank you

Do they have gluten free options?

Yes we do have gluten-free pasta that can be substituted in any pasta dishes We do not have gluten-free pizza…

    How's the squid ink pasta?

    My husband loved it!

    What vegan options are there?

I believe the delizia pasta is vegan but that's about it. Most vegetarian options have cheese but I'm sure they could leave it off.

What size are the pizzas? Are they bug enough for 2?

I think they're 16 inches, between a standard small and medium. It's more than enough for one, and good to share maybe paired with a salad.

    Are dogs allowed outside?

Should be fine because it's outside.

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. Here's what we tried: Cusco Comb (1000/10): Absolutely one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It was sweet, strong, and incredibly smooth without the alcohol being overpowering. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy. If you're looking for a great spot to grab drinks in downtown, I highly recommend this speakeasy.
