This is my by far very favorite local donut shop. I love all of their options and their donuts are much bigger compared to your typical donut chain stores like Krispy Kreme, Dunkin, etc. Also, the "mean Asian lady" is actually a very nice person. She always gives me and my dad free donut holes when we stop by. In the mornings typically on Saturday, the younger employee is always very helpful and works diligently. I wouldn't choose another local shop! read more

B&B donuts are WAY BETTER....RUDE Old Lady. And besides that, every other donut is an extra charge of your buying a dozen for $18 already, if it has sprinkles, that's an Extra $1.75 , just greedy and squeezing every cent they can. minimum of $5 for debit/credit transactions Located in a shopping center with Ralph's, Joanna, Kohl's etc. The location is small but has a variety of different kind of donuts. They off specials like half a dozen for 5.99. We ordered a variety of donuts to try the different kinds and everything was really good!! My favorite here is the Blueberry Donut and yes I think it's just as good as the M&M donuts (Anaheim). The ones here have bigger chunks of blueberry so it just taste more fresh. The prices are fair and the Lady was sweet; wish people would understand being alone all day can get boring. read more

We've often passed Donut Star in the way to Valencia High School for swim meets. Today we stopped to try and not, and I glad we did. There was a table of old timers sitting at a table outside a good sign. There were several customers inside, and at least three people behind the counter. It seemed like a family run establishment. A smiling woman greeted us and proceeded to help us. We ordered some of our favorites and I was excited to see a beautiful assortment of delightful donuts in the full display cases. Very beautiful presentation, Donut Star obviously anticipates high weekend traffic and prepared for it. The large variety and different colors were very beautifully displayed. We took our order home to eat and were not disappointed. Very good quality and delicious! In glad we went today, and shame on me for waiting too long to try Donut Star! read more

ZERO STARS. GROSS OLD DONUTS AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. pretty sure they don't even what that is. Was just trying to get donuts for my family. Let's also add the person was sweeping/clean then went to grab donuts without washing their hands. I'll drive super far if needed to avoid this place. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! I know I shouldn't wish poorly upon people but I hope they go out of business. No way they should get away with treating people so poorly. On top of that the product sucks and a waste of calories. I hate to give a bad review, but I have come to this donut shop forever. The donuts have always been fresh and yummy. But today on a Tuesday I feel like we were eating the donuts from last weekend. They were not fresh at all. The chocolate donuts Seemed like there was white batter, mixed in with the chocolate batter. The frosting was dry and fell off as she took a bite. I'm so disappointed. I was in Placentia for the weekend working at the Valencia High School auditorium just down the street from this Donut Star. I dropped in for a donut early Saturday morning on my way to work. I purchased an apple fritter which ran about a dollar and change. Now, I LOVE LOVE LOVE DONUTS. I don't know if they love me back, but I definitely have some serious donut issues. I even have a Yelp list dedicated to all the donut stores I've reviewed. Yes, it borders on addiction, but let's be honest - there are MUCH worse things that I could be addicted to so don't judge. I suppose it's possible that I was just REALLY hungry, but that was a pretty darn good donut, if I say so myself! I could definitely taste the bits of apple, and feel their texture. The glaze was pretty good, too, sweet but not cloyingly so, and it didn't crumble creating a huge mess as some glazes are wont to do. I ate my fritter (did you hear that? MY fritter, not yours!) while helping to set up cameras and hundreds of feet of cable. I admit to licking my fingers periodically, but I succeeded in doing both activities simultaneously without making a mess and that was a HUGE accomplishment. The older Asian gentleman who waited on me was very friendly with a genuine smile and a cheerful demeanor. Dang good donuts - and open 24 hours a day to satiate even the most avid donut enthusiast. I've been a good customer of the "Donut Star" for the last several years. Unfortunately, I will NOT be returning after my experience this morning due to the rude, old lady that works there. I usually purchase a variety of muffins, donuts, ham & cheese croissants and more for my friends and family. I came in, said my friendly weekly hello. The older lady was obviously upset. She didn't smile or acknowledge me. I ordered about 10 different items. She proceeded to place each item in a separate bag although I had asked her nicely if she could place them all in a box because I was taking them to the same location. She became very upset with me, muttered some words under her breath, and proceeded to angrily place each item in the box. I continued to ignore her bad behavior & bad service and figured I'll be out of there soon enough. She then took her tongs and angrily threw them into the glass display with the donuts. I called her out on her bad attitude, bad customer service and questioned why she exhibited such bad behavior by throwing the tongs into the donut case? No customers deserves this type of treatment, especially for just asking for a box. I walked out without the items, never to return again. Avoid the old lady at the counter. No matter how good the donuts are, she'll ruin your experience. Small businesses are struggling now as a result of COVID. This is the time we should appreciate loyal customers. Be kind, respectful and appreciative of one another. This is so unfortunate. read more

This was my first visit to this donut shop. Visiting family from out of town and was looking for a good donut shop with yummy apple fritters. Fail! The Apple Fritter was *HUGE* but tasted off. Couldn't tell if it was lard or something else. Chocolate Cake Donut did not taste right, either. It's as if it was put in the fryer with the blueberry donuts and the chocolate donuts had a blueberry taste. Boo! I went to the register to pay and the man told me the total $2 and change. This evening I came in an received the worst service I have ever received. The woman working, Sarah did not respond when I said hi so I said hello again. She responded I heard you what do you want? I was an absolutely shocked. Then she skipped over me and began too serve another customer. She then helped me didn't say a word. Just rang me up and gave my change. I've come across her before and thought I was being a little over critical but i was right. Lady is mean / cranky. Donuts are decent. I still return for my donuts runs bc the 24 hour open times is convenient.

Fully stocked selection and fresh donuts. Great service. Will definitely return in the future.
