My sales person, Ginger Kraus, was exceptionally helpful and even took time to get to know me more than just the car I wanted. Different members from the whole team assisted and everyone was as helpful and courteous as Ginger (Sorry, I don't remember names too well). What suprised me the most was that I was buying a Subaru from a Lexus dealer and I still got amazing service. I was expecting sub-par service due to what I was purchasing, but it was the complete opposite. From the time I walked into the dealership, to coming back the next day to negotiate, to the point of me driving away in my newly purchased car, I got consistently excellent service. I have to say service really was as good as it gets! We stopped by to test drive the new NX200T back in April of this year. Jeremiah Abujasen greeted us in the parking lot with no pressure at all. He was genuinely excited to answer our questions and let us test drive the car. I was upfront that I was not prepared to make a decision that day, but was seriously considering this particular car. I'd done a lot of research and honestly, I had already looked at and driven about 7 other cars, but was still on the fence and wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Several weeks went by and I couldn't stop thinking about that car. Decision made.... I called Jeremiah to let him know that we were ready to execute. Back to the dealer we went and this time we met with Jeremiah and Todd Jones/Sales Manager. I definitely had certain expectations and knew exactly what I wanted in the car. They were quick to accommodate, but unfortunately, getting exactly what I wanted meant I was going to have to wait....no fault of theirs... the model I wanted just wasn't around and wouldn't be for several weeks. Filling out paper work, dealing with finance were all painless and they made it all so easy. They even washed my husband's Tundra (also Dolan family) while we waited. I didn't get to take my new car home that day but they were able to secure a vehicle for us. The delivery date was uncertain. I was very impatient and probably a pain in the butt, but they were incredibly patient with me. Todd Jones called me at least once if not twice a week to give me a status update on the car and where it was at. Four weeks later, I finally got the "It's here!" call. I've been driving my GX460 since February and I'm in love with everything about it! My husband surprised me by having Brian Ralston deliver it to me on my birthday. I was driving through Reno headed for San Francisco when my oil change light came on. I stopped into the Lexus service center since it was close by. Was met by Frank Casey, Service Advisor. Frank worked my oil change into the schedule since he knew I was driving a distance. I waited in the comfortable customer lounge (with a couple of cups of coffee on the house). In about an hour & 15 minutes, my car was good to go. It had been washed with tire pressures checked. The bill was very inexpensive. I was on my way to SF. All very efficient, pleasant and cost effective. It was efficient and cost effective. Very much appreciated great customer service. read more

Couldn't find an NX in Denver, called Juan at Dolan and found the car of our dreams. We flew into Reno and the clear bra had not been installed. We hoped to get on the road right away for California. Brian, Bruno, Scott, Ashton and Mike all jumped in and took command. Brian exercised his many talents and power to get us to the front of the line with the bra installers and viola, right after lunch we had a bra with Brian taking the car there himself and going back to retrieve it. When we returned from lunch it was on the showroom floor, spotless, with a big red bow on the top! Brian then schooled us on all the many features of the car, set up our iphones and we were good to go. My mom bought a new Lexus RX from these guys and is beyond obsessive about having them service it, frankly more than is really necessary. They just had her replace her tires on the new RX she bought from them after all of 20k miles, (stating the tread was gone) when the tires (if bought directly from the manufacturer) have a 65k warranty. As a lady in her 70s, a contender for Nascar she is not, so one can't argue that she drove it hard. Sadly this isn't the first time they've had her pay for work on this car that makes no sense given its age and mileage. This will be the last Lexus she buys and will be avoiding this dealership in the future - not exactly classy to take advantage of an older lady. read more

I would like to give Lexus of Reno more stars however I had such a bad experience with a sales person (Tom Burchett) that he has tainted my impression of what is, I believe, a good overall dealership. For starters, do NOT purchase a car through Tom Burchett. You will save yourself a lot of headache if you heed this warning. He seems very friendly & knowledgeable but in the end he was high-pressure, downright annoying in pushing me to purchase (although I was tied up at work he called numerous times on my cell, texted & emailed trying to force the deal) & delivered the car (finally) 3 hours late & said "he couldn't find my house" after i gave him directions AND the car he was selling me/driving had GPS!! He did not even have the courtesy to call & say he was running late - just showed up 3 hours late. I had also requested he take off the license plate frame from my old car & give this to me & he said he had to do this at the shop. Turned out he broke it & I asked him to replace it ($30) & he said he would but then would not return my calls or emails & to date (one year later) he never reimbursed me. But, Lexus of Reno is nice. Very good show room & whenever I bring my car in for service I feel like i get the VIP treatment. They'll either give me a loaner (for bigger service visits) or drop me at a nearby shopping center with their shuttle. My car is always vacuumed & washed too. Finally, a Lexus is a Lexus. It's a fantastic car &, again, my only real issue with Lexus of Reno is the poor salesperson I encountered. read more

Horrible dealership! We got lied to about the service history of the used lexus we bought there. I then sold the car 10 months later because of numerous problems. When I went to get a refund on the extended warranty I purchased they prorated it and charged me for 3 years when I didn't even own the car. To bad was the attitude i got from them. I will update this review after I pick up my car. Backstory: I live in the Bay Area and my Husband and I both drive older model Lexus cars. In 2015 we both decided that it was time for us to get new cars. I love my GS 300, but due to my job, I drive close to 500 miles a week and started thinking of a hybrid as my next car. After doing some shopping around, I set my mind on getting a ES 300H. I then turned my attention to finding the car with all of the features and milage I would be ok with, as I would be buying a Certified Used car. I had 4 dealerships that were on my radar to purchase from, 3 in California and Dolan. I decided to use my credit union for financing, as I had them run my credit first. After contacting the dealerships in California I found 2 things to be sadly true. 1) There was no room for negation on the price of the car and 2) Even after telling them up front that I was going to use my current financing from my credit union, they refused to provide me with a purchase contract without running my credit. This truly frustrated me, as I did not want to see my score drop due to unnecessary views. While I was busy dealing with the drama of the California dealership, I forgot to check on the car that was at Dolan, and to my surprise, the car that I wanted had now dropped in price!! This gave me a ray of hope, but I was dreading reaching out because of my issues with the other dealers. I found the cell phone number of Chris Pitaro, a salesman that I had been texting about the pricing of the car in prior weeks. He confirmed that the car was still for sale and the price did drop. I asked him to draft up a purchase contract for me and asked that he get back to me. My next person of contact, within 30 minutes was Kymberly Platt. She was pleasant and understood that I would have to conduct most of this deal via email, as my work schedule does not allow me much phone time. Within in the first few emails between us, I had the assurance that they would not run my credit at all and I had a purchase draft in my inbox within less than 1 hour. WOW!!! Impressed to say the least. Remember, I have not seen the car in person, only via the internet photos. I had a ton of question about how to wrap up the purchase and other questions about the car and it's condition. I was alway replied to with responses that made me feel at ease. Then, life happens and Kymberly gets busy and passes me off to Ashton Carroll to help me finish up the deal. Now, this is where the term above and beyond come to mind. He reached out to me via email and phone and took the time to explain the reasons for the fees and other cost of buying the car. His tone of voice and calm demeanor sealed the deal for me. We signed the paperwork via email and fax and said our goodbyes. I was slated to pick up the car this week. As I was still in shock over my experience with the Dolan dealership, it totally slipped my mind to ask about the Costco discount, as I am a member. This is after all loan docs have been signed. I called into the dealership hoping to speak to Kymberly about the discount, but she was out for the night. The lady that answered the phone let me know she would find me a manager to give me a call back. My phone rang less than 10 mins. later and it was Ashton on the line. I told him that I forgot to ask about the discount and he explained to me why it does not usually apply to used cars. As he completed his sentence, he paused and THIS IS WHY I WILL COME BACK to Dolan for my next car. He said, "Hey, look. We want your business, bottom line. Tell me what I need to do to make you happy and I will do it. I don't work in finance or the numbers side of the dealership, but I am here to make this a happy moment for you. Just tell me what we can do to make that happen." I was floored! I asked for the winning Mega Millions numbers first, then I asked if he could honor the Costco discount. Without stuttering or skipping a beat he said yes. He then asked for my permission to do so in the morning, as it was close to 9pm at this moment. He let me know he would have a new purchase contract to me and my loan officer in the morning and thanked me for my business. All of this has totally made me wish I were rich and could by a fleet of cars for my family. I went from being totally stressed out for the last 3 weeks to being beyond excited to pickup my car this week! I will provide 5 stars after I meet this team in person and make sure they are real, because I still feel like this is still a dream. THANKS DOLAN FAMILY!!! read more

I'm compelled to write about the great sales and customer service I experienced at the dealership. I finally traded my 2006 Rx400 with over 153,000 miles for a new "used" 2012 Gx460. The sales staff (Major Mike) and manager Kimberly to the GM Ashton bent over backwards for an exceptional car buying experience. I was given a very fair trade in value on my old hybrid and received an exceptional price on the used, totally loaded GX460. By far the most favorite car I have had the pleasure to own. I came back three weeks later to see if they might have a spare cargo cover at no cost, of course they accommodated at no charge. Finance dept is a little over zealous especially if you have financing arranged elsewhere but forgivable as that's their job. I also work in sales for a living and rarely have felt compelled to comment on exceptional value and service from a car dealer...but know you get the real deal here. I was treated quite poorly and the dealership shuffled me from salesperson to salesperson with no continuity. When I finally did receive the quote I was promised it had the stock information for a USED vehicle but the pricing information for a new vehicle. I will never patronize Dolan Lexus for sales or for service as a result of this experience. Not really sure how to describe our experience. The Sales Manager - Hadie Itani helped in all ways -- we went in purposely without the money to buy. His help with giving us assistance was first AUTHENTIC! (shock). But helped us through the process. Got us a very fine deal. Jason was "Finance Guy" -- was additionally very AUTHENTIC and helped. We first went in, just because my wife wanted to see if I would even fit in a Lexus (Hybrid). I did -- we were going to "go for" the Rav 4. We met Max, a new salesman -- again, just fine decent fellow, very helpful. I am quite blunt with sales folks, he just went with it. I personally do not prefer "fancy" vehicles. But this vehicle is rated number 1 in it's class re reliability. Just surprised both my wife and I, all the way through this really pleasant experience. I was told I would have the first right of refusal. Then they tell me they sold it to someone else. What a waste of time and energy.
