This purchase represents an infrequent event, fortunately occurring only once per year or so. I initially traded in my 2018 LS 500 but aimed to minimize additional expenses, covering only essential costs such as tax, registration, and an extended warranty for the new vehicle that I chose. Ultimately, I paid a total of $13,000 out of pocket. Consequently, I opted to downgrade to a 2017 GX460 with relatively low mileage suitable for its age. The vehicle was in good condition; however, I later recalled that certain vital multimedia functions ceased working on all models from 2017 and earlier. Regrettably, management was aware of this issue but failed to disclose it to me, which is why I am only awarding a two-star rating. We discussed a fixable problem related to the navigation system; however, I did not inquire specifically about the multimedia functions, and the staff did not consider it necessary to inform me. I acknowledge that I found this approach somewhat underhanded. On the third day after the sale, I spoke with the sales manager responsible for finalizing the deal. He offered me the option to select another vehicle for an additional $14,000, on top of the $13,000.00 I just put out, specifically a used 2021 GX model. I declined to adhere to my budget constraints. Consequently, I left the dealership with a bitter taste. Currently, I am faced with an issue where the vehicle's SOS and Destination Assist features are non-functional, and will never function. When I directly inquired about this, the manager attributed the problem to cellular providers, asserting that he had no control over the phone system issues and did not admit that the dealership should have fully disclosed the situation, allowing me to decide whether the missing functions were important. This was the third Lexus purchased from Dolan within four years. Based on this experience, I am unlikely to seek future purchases from Dolan and will probably consider a dealership in Sacramento. I have learned that approximately ninety percent of a dealership's sustainability depends on its service department rather than the sale of vehicles. This is especially relevant for Dolan, which operates as a volume dealership where higher sales figures correlate with increased sales of Lexus warranties. I invite you to consider where you will choose to make your next purchase and to avoid becoming a victim of such practices. read more

Terrible. They pushed me to buy their extended warranty back in 2019 when I purchased my 2019 RX 450h there. But now I moved back to California and need the warranty service after my battery is dead. And warranty service info is not even in the system so the Lexus dealers here are not even honoring it. It's a total scam. I trusted the Lexus brand at the time so didn't think much at the time and trusted the manager for the extended warranty package even though I knew it's not much of benefit for me. Now they just hung up my call for my request to check my extended warranty info so I got to put my review here. By the way my 1st oil change service there also was really bad: I got leaking oil at my garage right after the service. I didn't write the bad comment here 4 years ago. Thought should give them a chance. They didn't even close my oil cap. So the oil even leaked at their dealer's service ground. This never happened from my entire oil change experiences elsewhere, even at Walmart's oil change. Such a simple task. I made an appointment to get my RX serviced at the 15000 mileage maintenance. It's easy to schedule an appointment online and the next available dates are always within a week. From my previous experience, when I drive up into the service area, a staff member usually comes up to help. However, this time there was no one there and I had to stand around awkwardly until someone came up to me. The advisor was nice and explained some things to me, but said it was going to take a minimum of 2 hours. (I thought it honestly was going to take an hour to hour and a half at most.) I was told there's no loaners for me to use so I waited upstairs in their lounge area to get a drink and wait. But there's no one at the counter. I feel like there should be a full time staff that just works at the counter taking drink orders because when I finally saw someone, they walked away in a hurry like they were very busy. In the company's point of view, it makes sense to save money. But as the customer, I felt very neglected. When my car was finally ready, it took about 2.5 hours. They washed it and everything looks great. Next time, I do wish there the wait was better. read more

I made an appt 3 weeks ago to have the caps of my rear view mirrors replaced. Due to weathering. I was told they had them in stock and the price and the reason I made the appt so many weeks out was bc that was their first availability for a loaner vehicle. I made the mistake of waiting for an oil change a couple years ago upstairs and I was there for 4 hours! When I came down to ask what was taking so long the person helping me had simply gone home and never even told me my car had been finished for some time.... Sheesh! Back to today.. I came at 730 am for my appt. The nice girl helping me today had no idea why I was there? She told me they don't have rear view mirrors for me. I explained I only needed the caps to them , not the entire mirror and she was like oooh! I'll ask.. she returned, she said they don't have those either. She said they never had them in stock to begin with. She said no one ever put your order in? Very frustrating. It's always something with this place. I don't know exactly where the breakdown is? But they can certainly do better, and should. Another time I was in for an appt. they told me my car would be done in a couple hours when I returned later in the day my car was still not done and they asked to keep it overnight.. I left it longer then the expected time, someone could have simply called me to let me know to save me a trip there. They had to bring my car the next day. So very many experiences like this.. it's a shame bc I thought buying a new Lexus I would get this great service I kept hearing about... that has not been the case. I bought bought my 2020 Lexus rx350 almost two years ago in October. I had a horrible experience. And it keeps getting worse. I want to start off saying I'm a female in my early 30's. When I went to buy the car I wanted from viewing online and was ready to go, I had to wait 3 hours while another couple was test driving the exact vehicle between a brand new Lexus. I understood that, that was fine. They forced me on a 600 dollar charge that was a tracker in my vehicle,"in case my car was ever stolen" I told them I didn't want that, and didn't want to pay the extra 600 for it. The young man who sold me the vehicle laughed at me and said that's not something you can negotiate, all the vehicles come with a tracking device, and if I wanted he can throw me in a free key chain. I said ok then give me a key chain...after paying for a 600 dollar tracker that comes with ALL vehicles, he forgot of course. They really tried to sell me up on vehicle maintenance expenses in the future by adding on so many different charges...I said no to them all. Turns out I didn't need them. So beware of those extra charges. I brought my mom into the room when a different man went over the expenses and tried to continue to charge me thousands more for maintenance in the future expenses. I said no...when my mother left the older man started telling me how beautiful I was, which made me so uncomfortable. I just wanted to do the paper work and get out. When I brought the car home and had my dad take it for a spin I sat in the passenger side. When I put my feet down it felt very lumpy...like someone had their jacket on the floor. I took it in to ask why it was so lumpy...they said that's normal! That a lot of Lexus feel this way in the passenger, it's normal to be that lumpy on the passenger floor! What? When I brought my car in for 6 month maintenance, I was given 10:00 am appointment. It should have been routine and I was there until 3:00 pm. (That's a long time for a routine 6 month check up) was told my batteries are corrosive and my breaks need to be replaced...ok (I bought the car six months ago but...) So I paid and when I received my car back there was a huge scratch in the bumber that I didn't notice until the next day after I left. I noticed when they gave the car back to me soap was running down my bumber and the young man said "sorry we just washed your car for you, and some soap is still on the bumber" they knew I needed to be to work in an hour and needed to rush off. They left soap on the bumper because of the giant scratch they created. I kicked myself the next morning when I noticed...you are supposed to check scratches at the dealership when you leave, that's why they take pictures of your car before. They knew I was screwed by rushing off to work and I knew I was screwed the next morning. I never called, after being treated so badly before I knew the call was worthless. I also paid for the phone app to unlock my car and start it when it snows (I live in tahoe city) so that day I asked for advice and they "forgot" but I had to get to work so I rushed home. Never got the tech to help me out. Must have been because they waited till the last moment so I wouldn't have time, so I didn't see the dent. Today it's 88 degrees in tahoe city and I just noticed the the side of my door (if you open the door and run your hand against the metal piece that meets the back door when it closes. The edge of the door...It's pure gummy when it gets hot...I hope I can leave a video below. Dolan Lexus used to be high class, my parents have bought their last 6 Lexus cars from Dolan, but it's gone down hill big time. I will never buy from this Lexus dealership again...really sad how bad they treated a female, or maybe just a person. Not sure what it was, I have a lot more to say about what went wrong, but this is what stood out. It's taken me a lot of courage to write this review because my parents (who are very loyal customers) never wanted me to write my bad experience. But I now feel it needs to be said. If you are a female going to Dolan Lexus, you should not feel taken care of...and maybe this is happening to gentleman too. This is a warning for everyone. read more

Placed an order on a NX Hybrid on September 21, the sales man was contacting me constantly, along with Jessica, calling me constantly about other possible vehicles that were coming in (Awesome) so that we wouldn't have to wait for the vehicle that we had ordered. Nothing came in that matched our wants (no big deal). Fast forward to December 1st. The day has come to pick up the vehicle and finalize paperwork. I had already scheduled a clear bra appointment for December 4th. As I was there, the sales man was working very hard on selling us SOMETHING. Decided to keep the business with the Dolan's as they are constantly giving back to the community. Canceled my appointment that I had previously scheduled, and decided to get it done through the Dolan's. Added the clear bra to the bill and finished up the paperwork. Was told I would get a call back "soon" to schedule the clear bra and to pick up the Key glove which I was charged for, per Vspec, but did NOT receive. Also only received 1 key, was told there's a shortage on them and I was going to get a call when it came in. A week goes by, still no call. I messaged the salesman for an update, was told "Rene is going through all the due bills this week so you should be called pretty soon". Fair enough. Today is December 15. 15 days after the Vehicle was purchased. STILL NO CONTACT from anybody. I once again reach out to the sales man. He states "Rene has left for the day, and will be back Monday". The vehicle has driven home and parked in garage, to prevent it from getting rock chips before the clear bra install. The WiFi hotspot is halfway through the "free trial" and it hasn't even been tried, by the time I get a call from someone, maybe even the XM radio trial will have expired. I've purchased multiple vehicles from The Dolan's at Lexus. All previous visits were Great experiences. The customer service I've received AFTER the sale is non-existent. If I never followed up on their sale, who knows if I would ever get the clear bra! I never leave reviews especially bad ones, but after two weeks of me asking for an update with no remedy I'm put in a position to where I have to say something, so other people don't go through what I've been having to deal with. This experience has been very disappointing. Starting to feel more like a number than a customer. Regretting going with the Dolan's this time around. I'm hoping someone will finally get a hold of me to resolve this. Or if you are too busy, just say so, and I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. My vehicle was due for an oil change so, I scheduled one online. While we didn't buy from this dealership, we are using them for our maintenance. I drove up at 3 pm and someone was kind enough to open the service doors. My name was on the over head television, so I knew they were expecting me. I was promptly greeted by Kieran Tavey and we discussed what service I was here to receive. Kieran said that I was also due for a 50k service and on his iPad, showed me what would be done during this service and the cost. My main concern was the time as I needed to pick up medication for my cat before the vet closed for the weekend at 5:30pm. He said that he'd expedite my service and I'd be out of there by 4:30 ish. I agreed to the additional maintenance and went to go grab a complimentary coffee in their customers waiting area. My husband took the vehicle in the last time and gave me a heads up on their coffee bar. The barista upstairs was very polite and made a wonderful skim milk vanilla latte which was complimentary. I asked if she had change and she told me that she didn't but, the service department would be able to break a bill for me. So while she was making my drink I went back downstairs and was greeted by another employee who guided me to the service area. I came back, got my drink and left her a gratuity. During my wait, I used their complimentary WiFi which had a strong signal so I know next time I have a service appointment to bring my homework. There is a lot of customer seating which was different than most dealerships and there was even an outdoor patio. As a side note the bathrooms were extremely well taken care of! While I was expecting a phone call to say my vehicle was completed, the technician actually came to find me to let me know in person I was ready to check out. He rang me up and it was lower than originally quoted. True to his word, I was out of their and on my way to the Vet by the time he said I'd be. Even with an expedited time for my service, they still took the time to wash and clean my vehicle. She looks so much prettier now! Before I got into my vehicle, he took disinfectant wipes to wipe down the steering wheel, gear shift and door handle! Kieran also wished my cat well and said good bye. My girlfriend and I wasted 3 hours of our Time @ Dolan Lexus in Reno!!!! We went there to Purchase a 2010 Lexus RX 350, with a trade In. After the test ride and going back-and-forth on Price and trade-in value, we came to agreement of purchasing the 2010 Lexus RX 350 while waiting for Finance to finish paperwork and the car to be washed and fueled the sales person comes to us and tells us there's one other thing he needs to let us know there's two issues one the front shocks are leaking Number two the timing chain cover has a small leak!!!! And they expected us to sign the agreement why wasn't this specified three hours ago instead of going through this long process and result of us walking out totally pissed off if it was my dealership I would've said were very sorry. We will have these issues resolved, but that didn't happen so this is why I'm writing this review.Update!! I don't even know where to begin with this review. My wife was involved in a horrible accident in which our car was destroyed. We needed to replace our car and a few friends of ours recommended we go to any of the Dolan dealerships. We found a nice used suv that was in our price range and negotiations started. We had an exact amount we could work with and we had no wiggle room. The car was around 20k out the door. We agreed on 20k WITHOUT the warranty. The salesman recommended we get the warranty, which was around $3500 dollars. We told the salesman we could not afford to spend almost 18% more for the car. We told him we would never think that Dolan Lexus would sell us an unreliable vehicle so we were comfortable not buying the warranty. Fast forward a few WEEKS later and the car started making ticking sounds. We took it to get checked out by a family friend who owns a car repair shop. He said the fix would be around $3000 to fix. We had to borrow money from friends to have it fixed. Which in and of itself was very embarrassing. We felt that it was our fault we didn't get the warranty, which again we denied simply because we couldn't afford, so we had it fixed ourselves. About 2 weeks after that, another problem arose. This time we had no choice but to go back to Lexus and explain to them the situation. They asked why we didn't take it back to them to fix the first time and our simple answer was we felt stupid and embarrassed for trusting there would be no issues with the car. The problem ended up being a blown head gasket. Which is probably the worst thing a car could have. Even their service department recommended not paying around $4500 to fix. After speaking to the sales manager, he offered us $11000 for the car and in a very condescending manner, told us he was basically doing us a favor. We were paying for a daily rental at the time so we had to scurry to find a car there. A few days later we found an suv that would work for our family's needs. We didn't really like the car but we needed one fast and it was in our price range. At the test drive, Ryan Dolan happened to be there. My wife explained the situation to him and he seemed very understanding but after he spoke with the sales manager that offered us the $11000, he took off around $1200 of the new car price and gave us a an extra year on the warranty. Considering the car is a 2015 model, I highly doubt we'll still have it by 2029. I believe he could've done more than that. All in all, we lost around $13000 and bought a car we didn't even like. I noticed the front tires were very worn down and the salesman said it was in the "legal" range. The car was out of alignment, which they did fix a few days later at no cost, but the tires were already wearing unevenly. The car kept driving wrong and we took it in to get checked out. The answer was that it was due to the tires wearing unevenly.So 2 months after buying a car that broke down, losing $13000 on buying a car we didn't even want, all we asked for was the 2 front tires that went completely bald in 2 months. They wouldn't even cover that. That's what made me write this review. Not even 2 tires after 2 months of purchasing. Considering everything that has happened, I don't think a pair of tires was too much to ask.I've never written a review before, but this experience has been awful and I don't wish it on anyone. read more

My first review was 5 stars as service is always courteous and either rides or loaners are made available and the car is returned shiny and clean! However, 2 recent experiences have left me wondering.... 1. I took my RX 350 for the major 90,000 mile service; given my choice of loaners! work was done promptly, but! was charged $1800 for the service rather than the $900 other Lexus dealers charge. 2. I have been interested in an NX 300h which was a loaner. It recently was released for sale and I was emailed a proposal which gave me the cost of the NX and a value for trading in my RX. When I arrived at the dealership with written proposal I was told, so sorry, but the price on the NX will be $5000 more than what was in the written proposal. This is no way to build trust or ensure loyalty! read more

Dolan Lexus is great. They are friendly, attentive and don't have that greasy car salesman atmosphere like most Reno dealerships have. After multiple horrible dealership experiences in Reno and Chico I was skeptical of Dolan. But they found an awesome RX350 and gave me a good deal on my trade in. Overall the experience was great. A week after I bought the car I had to return to fix an error on the paperwork. So I though, "Oh they want to scam me by changing the paperwork now that I have possession of the car." But that wasn't the case and in fact my payment went down a small about with no change to my interest or terms. They even gave me a full tank of gas to drive back to the dealership since I live over 1.5 hours away. I got my first Lexus from Dolan and will purchase my future Lexus's from Dolan. read more
