I called and spoke with Jason, who listened to my concern and told me to come on in so the shop could take a look. I couldn't make it until the next day, but when I arrived, the whole team was great. I was greeted warmly, and the staff checked in with me while I waited for Jason to get to my car. Jason took my concern seriously. He believed what I was telling him before I even pulled into the open bay. He fixed the problem and had me on my way in no time. At this point I will NEVER be one of their customers again. I took my vehicle in mid-August because the connection between the headlight bulb and the wiring kept loosening (the wiring had been replaced by them the year prior). The car was with them for a full day, and I was told the issue was resolved and I was not charged for that work because it related to a previous fix....lovely!! Less than 10 days later, the same issue arose. I immediately knew that they had not fixed what I asked to be fixed as my headlight was once again out. I dropped my car off on Saturday, September 5, expecting a full day of waiting. I was called within 3 hours of dropping off with the diagnosis - a full headlight assembly priced at over $800. I was then told I really should just replace both sides on my vehicle so they both look "sexy". I initially did not confirm that I wanted the repair done because this is a 21 year old vehicle driven minimally. I certainly don't need it to look "sexy" and drop $1600 When I did call back to confirm the repair of one headlight, I was told that my service rep (Darrell) was on lunch, but the message would be passed on to get the repair started. I then heard absolutely nothing. I called back just before closing, expecting to get an update. I talked to Darrell and he promptly threw his teammate under the bus and said he never got the message - calling his teammates "knuckle heads". I was assured that the part would be ordered on Tuesday (due to the Labor Day holiday) and work would likely be finished by end of day Wednesday 9/9. Once again, no one from Big O called me with any update. I called again before closing that day (Wednesday 9/9 and was told the part hadn't arrived. I then waited for 4 more days to hear anything. CRICKETS. No follow up saying there was a delay, no apology. NOTHING. During this time period the shop was only closed for 1 day. 3 other days that a call could have been made to me. I just called (yet again) Monday, 9/14 at 10:30 AM. NINE days after dropping my car off. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was not in. I was then treated very kindly on the phone by Isaac when I expressed my frustration at the very poor communication regarding the repair of my vehicle. Isaac put me on a hold and found Darrell who then was very dismissive saying he was still waiting on the part and since he didn't have it, he didn't feel that he needed to call me. He also said he's too busy to make calls to all the customers who are waiting on parts. Waiting for 9 days....no time in 9 days..... I expressed my frustration at the terrible communication, receiving only one phone call in a span of 9 days!! I told him I had had nothing but wonderful service for the past 15 years and was extremely disappointed in the overall experience and there was no reason that I, as the customer, should have had to make 4 phone calls regarding this service when they made only 1. Once I filled my husband in on the situation he stepped in and called and we are refusing the part and the repair. My time, money, and support will go elsewhere from now on. It's honestly just so sad to me that a business that I have recommended for years has changed so much.
