Since they deleted my Google review, I came to this location on Patriot BLVD unfortunately I left dissatisfied. I came here to get new battery terminals since mine were corroded. They forgot to re-attach my car battery holder which caused my car to have issues with the car battery sliding around. They could have contacted me and let me know about the mistake and it would've been fine, we all make mistakes. But since they deleted my review on Google I would not recommend this specific location to anyone. read more

I'm a regular Jiffy Lube customer, and will be more often now with a second vehicle. This was my first time at this location. As always, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and provided great customer service. I wish I could recall his name but the guy with the iPad who checked us in was very friendly and kind, not pushy at all when I declined specific services. 10 out of 10 service! I know people will be quick to say don't get any work done at Jiffy Lube or they do half quality work. All I know is these guys help me out a ton today. I was on the freeway and my serpentine belt tossed on my truck and I was barely able to inch to their shop. Fortunately I made it and they were able to assist me no problem. They were able to get me out with a serpentine belt replacement for right over $200. I know when I called AutoZone, they said the part was around 30 bucks so they did not charge me too much for the two hours of service or one hour whatever it was. they did exactly what service I requested and if I needed a quick fix on something, I would definitely be stopping here again. I left without service. I have never until today been to a Jiffy Lube at which someone doesn't come to greet me, direct me to which lane they would like me to drive, and ask how they can help. Waving from behind another car in a general direction dos not count. Having three men stand around with clip boards with their eyebrows raised, waiting for me to drive in, dos not count. I dislike going to this location because I always have to argue with them about the coupons they send to honor them. I also always request them not to remove my filters and walk me around so they can have the service completed quicker and they still do it every time as an upsell. When he looked it up he found out that it was just their 2000 miles earlier and he reset my car so it was updated with the correct information!! I always had great service at this location until the last time I went there several weeks ago. I have taken several of our cars there over the years, and had a wonderful experience, but will now not be back because of the following reasons: 1. Staff members in the repair bay were swearing/F-bombs at each other every minute. I did not appreciate this crude behavior with my wife being present as well. This demonstrates a lack of professionalism and training. 2. In the past, they always maintained a practice of showing us the used oil filter, explaining to us what they did, (even though I know, but this is good customer service), in terms of products used, resetting the oil change light in the car, etc. I felt a bit rushed even though there was only one another customer - despite there being 5 Jiffy Lube people in the repair-bay area. 3. In the end, we settled the bill with a different assistant manager as the other one had gone away. We gave this gentleman a tip, and his response was "I will split the 4 quarters with the four other employees." We had actually had given him quite a bit more, but I guess he did not look at what was now his hand. This comment demonstrated a element of personal entitlement, lack of professionalism, and someone who should not be in charge of, or speaking on behalf of any customer service business. Again, this comes down to training and lack of maturity and self-awareness. The whole experience was disappointing, and I will not be back. First time back they assumed there was a new hole, it was a patch that they didn't seal correctly. My 17 yo daughter came in to have the oil changed as she is leaving on a road trip tomorrow. And boy was I surprised when I walked out side of my house to see quarts of oil leaking in my driveway. Had I not discovered this prior to her leaving she could've seized up on the freeway and had an accident. Thankfully I discovered it right before they closed and I was able to get the car over here to have it repaired. They told me that someone had not tightened the oil filter. Also learned when I came back that they did NOT check the filters Or fill up my windshield wiper fluid which has always been a service Jiffy Lube has offered. Rather pay $1000 to have my oil changed than have to worry about one of my kids having an accident because of this awful service. Today this company was caught committing fraud against our community. After speaking with corporate support from UBER. It was confirmed as shown on the UBER website that Inspections for Driver vehicles is Free for this location. Upon arrival at the Jiffy Lube the young man approached the vehicle and asking what I was there for. I showed him the inspection form and the open Uber web page showing inspections are free at this location. This was responded to with, "yes the inspection is free but we will charge you an additional $54.99 fee". To me this was shocking because this type of behavior is a conflict with Section 21 of the Consumer Protection act. Report on this issue will be submitted. read more

Came here for an oil change and the service was so-so. I was told I needed my tires aligned by one of the managers. He showed me a tablet with an assessment of my vehicle and it read that an alignment was needed so I agreed to the service. He also said I needed coolant and would top off the car for free. While waiting for my car in the reception area, I overheard one of the technicians tell the cashier I didn't need a tire alignment. I know he referred to my car because he pointed to it outside the reception door. It gets worse. The cashier didn't tell me that the alignment wasn't done while he was ringing me up. I told him I overheard his conversation with the tire tech (since they spoke to each other in the reception area) and asked if the service was done. The cashier said no so I asked him whether or not I'd pay. Cashier said no. I seriously question whether or not he would have charged me for the service if I didn't speak up for myself. Then he walked me to my car which was parked outside, handed me my keys and said the oil was changed. I asked the cashier if we could look at the oil together and he said "no, because the hood was down". I told him that I'd open the hood and did it regardless of what he said. The cashier pulled the oil dipstick from the engine and showed it to me. That's not how one looks at oil after an oil change. Typically the technician pulls out the oil dipstick wipes it clean, reinserts it back into the engine then pulls it out for review. I told the cashier that's not the right way to look at oil and explained what to do. I think he knew what he was doing was wrong because he wiped the dipstick clean as I told him how it should be done. The oil looked dark. I told him and that he looked dark. He insisted it was changed and said there was a video camera to prove it. Of course, the fluids weren't topped off even though the receipt read that they were. I told the cashier I was told that my fluids would be topped off for free and he said there must have been miscommunication because they charge for it. I disagree. The manager offered it and my only response was "thank you." I was upset. The cashier said he's top off the fluids but I don't trust Jiffy Lube after all the poor service. I asked to speak to the Manager and I told him about the tire alignment issue and that I didn't know who to believe - his computer assessment or technician. He blamed the discrepancy on the computer. I also told him that the cashier did not show me the new oil because the hood was already down, and that the oil looked very dark. The manager said "Hyundai's need dark oil." I don't know if I believe it because new oil is typically honey colored and thick not dark and thin. I was very upset. The manager offered me a free service given my experience in his store but he didn't give me anything as evidence. I asked him how would his staff would know if he gave me a complimentary service, then he offered to write a message on my receipt. Since I had to ask for evidence, I question whether or not he meant the complimentary service or he said it to make me go away. My husband inspected the car. And agreed that the oil looked old. We took it back to Jiffy Lube and he insisted we get a refund. He took a sample from the dipstick and asked to see a fresh sample for comparison. They refused to do the comparison, but then agreed to give us a refund. Update 2/12/18: I shared this feedback with Jiffy Lube's corporate office. The JL representative opened a case and sent it to Griffin Fast Lube Nevada LLC. My understanding is that Griffin would respond with 72 hours. Waiting. Thanks, JL for the encouragement to reach out! Jiffy Lube Mechanics Shop 55 East Patriot Blvd in Reno I have used Jiffy Lube drive in lubrication shops here in Reno / Sparks for over 20 years and received at least 4 star service. There have been a few minor problems, but overall the customer service has been good and I recommend them. The Jiffy Lube mechanical repair shop on 55 East Patriot Blvd in Reno ( across from In and Out Burger ) though was recently a disaster. Without rehashing all the details I will say I will never use the repair shop again. They had my truck for 4 days and never contacted me with an estimate and never did any work. I called them 4 times and made 3 personal appearances and never received any information on cost or timeframe. No one there seemed to have any information at any time even though I had worked with the Service Manager when I first took the truck in for repairs. Finally after 4 days I was presented with an Estimate that only had half of the requested repairs listed. The parts and labor estimates were in the stratosphere. Example - a fuel filter was $79.99 ( O'Reilly's Auto Parts retail price about $16.00 ) and labor of $45.00. I contacted the corporate office in Utah with my complaint, they referred me back to the General Manager at the Reno location. The conversation was the standard corporate speak response, meaning it amounted to nothing. So, my advice - use their drive in lube services if you want, they're OK, but be aware of upselling. Stay away from the repair services at this location. read more

Getting an oil change during COVID is a very unique experience. I called to see if I needed an appointment and they told me it was first come first serve. Lucky for me I arrived at 3:30pm on a Friday and they were able to get me right in. I was instructed to stay in my car and 5 men swarmed by vehicle to get to work. If I didn't know what was going on, this would be the stuff nightmares are made of - single lady in car and 5 men all dressed in black with masks come racing up to the car and start shaking it and tapping at the windows. Really it was a fun treat however to watch them get down to business. The oil change, fluid check, window washing service took all of ten minutes and i was in and out in a flash. I tried to get an smog check this morning. At first it was just one car in front of me. After waiting 20 minutes, I went inside and was told a lady will with you in a minute. More cars pulled in seeking a smog check. After another 20 minutes, I went in again and was told someone will be with me. Soon three more cars were in line. We all went to see why no one was coming out. The mechanic in the car bay was just rude and could not be bothered. We all confronted the person in the oil change bay who told us "she is down there and she can't come up" "we are short staffed, we don't know when you can be helped. Not worth the discount that Jiffy Lube was offering and they lost the business of five other people needing a simple smog check. The time was 9:10 am on August 18, 2023 at the Jiffy Lube at the corner of Patriot and South Virginia. Don't bother mailing me a coupon ever again, I will not waste 30 or more minutes and be treated poorly. You obvious don't need the business. read more

Recently got my tires replaced here. I provided the tires myself just needed them swapped. Everyone I talked with was really nice and helpful. The price here was better than other places I compared to. Only issue is after I drove away I noticed the tire pressure was set to 32 psi on all 4 tires. My car, like all cars, has a sticker on the door frame stating the required tire pressure, and mine is 42 psi. I called and asked why it was set to 32psi and the response was "well most cars usually require 32psi". Feels like this is something they should check when they replace tires. read more

From what I could tell I think they did a great job. Every day I had been putting off getting my oil changed because I was dreading using my Groupon for a synthetic oil change. It's sometimes sketchy saying you have a Groupon, you just never know if they're going to screw you over or do a crappy job. It was fairly early on a Sunday morning when I decided to drive by and see how busy it was. I almost kept driving because the parking lot looked full, but something told me to pull in. As I did, there were signs that read "pull around for an oil change". Around the curve was a smiling man ready to help me and he guided me right to where I needed to be. I told him first thing about my Groupon and they were all very accommodating and friendly. After another man showed me the lobby and where to wait I was able to ask him questions about Jiffy Lube as a company and its reputation. He assured me they always do a good job and that this particular location is rated very highly within the state. He was very believable and I would like to think that my car was in good hands.
