Went to get an oil change. The attendant checked my oil and level. He showed me the dip stick and the oil was clear. He topped off my oil for free and said come back ok 750 miles. read more

Brought my car in for an oil change a few months back bc the sticker on my windshield said I was due for one. The guy working quoted me a price and said it would take about 20 mins. I went inside to wait and he came back in just a few mins later to tell me my oil was still clean and it wasn't going to need to be changed for another 5,000 miles. He replaced the old sticker with a new one. How nice is that? I never would have known. He could have done it and charged me but he was a true gentleman and did not take advantage. So you bet I brought my car back to this place when it was due. They were friendly and very professional, excellent service! Highly recommend this place:) read more

Always fast, informative, and friendly service. I've had my oil changed here 3 times and front/rear differential fluid changed once and have had zero issues at all. My car is running great! Standard pricing for an oil change and other services. They always inform me of anything going on with the car including dirty filters, tire pressure, and fluid levels. They always provide recommendations and tips without being pushy or demanding. Great oil change spot that will also perform basic service! read more

I am so impressed with the oil change I got at Castrol Premium Lube Express! I didn't get the service tech's name but his initials on my invoice were ARE. Very competent, thorough, professional, and informative. The waiting room is clean with free wifi, and they are less expensive than Jiffy Lube! I will be back! read more

I was parked in front of a bay a few minutes before opening and they quickly and efficiently serviced my car for an oil change on Saturday, New Years Eve. I had called the day before to confirm they had my filter and they gave me the price over the phone. When I mentioned a coupon they were super friendly about the total with discount and didn't make me feel like I inconvenienced them with the question. I felt the same sentiment at check out. I will be back for several years as I appreciate this level of professionalism, friendliness, and kindness. read more

Try to sell me brakes for my car when I only wanted a stud repaired & would not work on my car until he could change my brakes when I went to Pro 1 Automotive said my brakes were fine & didn't need work on my brakes at all. Great experience getting my oil changed today. The young man who helped me was extremely friendly and very efficient. Answered all my questions and got my oil change started right away. They did a good job at a competitive price. It is right in my neighborhood. I will definitely be using them in the future. read more

Needed to have the oil changed on my diesel truck late in the afternoon on a Thursday, took it in and in the process of trying to open the hood, the technician broke the Parking Brake Release handle. He was apologetic and gave me the card for the store manager, Jarvis. After a week of trying finally connected with him at a different location where he was scheduled for the day. He paid me for the part, which I had ordered online while I waited for my truck to be finished. Online I found the part and had it shipped to my house (about 1/4 the price at the dealer), a 30 minute task to install it myself. Good people and took care of things. read more

They over filled the oil, and now I have to syphon out some of it myself. Over filling the engine oil can damage the engine! They also inflated the tire pressure to 32 PSI, and when I told them that the pressure should be 34 their response was that after driving the car for a bit the pressure will go up. They are supposed to inflate the tire according to the car's required tire pressure, which is indicated on the car door sill. I had to reflate the tires and check the pressure for accuracy myself. I will not take my car to this or any of your locations again. read more

This center went above and beyond and even showed me what another center claimed and wasn't true.

Great fast and easy service. Went to get my car smogged and they smogged and registered my car in under 15 minutes. Thank you guys

These are the nicest people!! They are honest, polite and kind. They explain what is wrong and if a service is not needed they let you know.

I'm a travel nurse, and to took my car in to make sure everything was good before heading back to Las Vegas. The guys were awesome in taking care of me. They were thorough and honest--I didn't need an oil change but took care of things that needed to be addressed. It was quick to note. Thanks again and feel good driving home, and took a lot of worry off my shoulders. read more

Looks like Castrol offers many different services. I came in for quick oil change. On a late Wednesday morning, there was no line. The service tech was friendly and offered several different coupons to help me get the best price. The waiting room was clean and spacious, offering complimentary coffee. My oil change was completed post haste and there were no upsells, which was a pleasant surprise. They even cleaned my windshield! read more

Bought a new car, and what the dealership won't tell you, is that they'll sell you a car, but trying to get service is like pulling teeth! So, I although I have free oil changes I couldn't wait a week to be "fit in". So, off I went in search of an oil change. These guys were tucked away in a strip mall off Mae Anne. It was spendy $65+, but my car needs fancy oil apparently. They did it fast, they were professional, and I have no complaints. read more

Ripoff artists!! Called ahead and was quoted $84 for synthetic oil change for my daughters car. Told the guy I had a coupon and he said that would deduct from the $84 for a total of $77 out the door, he said yes. Sent our teenage daughter down for the service and now the price is $90 dollars after the coupon!?!?!?? Shame on you guys!! read more

They were short staffed, but friendly and did a great job. When I was there the bathroom had been recently cleaned which was nice.

Very honest people! Spoke to Jarvis before I came in, received a quote, and right when my car was about to get serviced, he unloaded a lot of very important information about my vehicle to me. As a result, it turns out my car did not need any maintenance done, and he also checked on all my "other" fluids, brakes, and tires at no charge. I was so impressed of how I was treated, I really wanted to tip or have them charge me something for their troubles, but they wouldn't. I will definitely tell everyone I know about their great service! Great job Jarvis! read more

I went here on a recommendation from a friend. Felt a little guilty straying from my normal auto needs place but thought I'd give it a shot. The guys working here were very nice and it was a painless process with a quick turn around. However, that being said I was a little shocked that my bill was $68 for a simple oil change on my 10 year old car. I suppose if you're looking for the convenience factor and have a time restraint, the price would be justified. I usually pay $45 for an oil change and they rotate my tires as well. Think I'll stick with my normal auto care place. read more

Do I have a sign on my back that reads "kick me, I'm a sucker?" My premium synthetic service was quoted at $69.95. I missed the (up to 5 quarts nomenclature). The service techs were prompt, helpful and friendly and let me know in advance that my rig would need a canister oil filter for a $13 surcharge. Upon check-out, my total was $120.00! Huh! I found out they charge $9.95 per quart for premium oil. Yes, you heard me....$10 per quart. Note: The same exact Castrol Synthetic 5w30 oil is available at Wal-mart for $4.88 per quart or $13.50 per gallon). Somehow they forced 7.75 quarts of oil into my rig that only holds 7.5 quarts, so I paid $27 for 2.75 quarts of oil. Did I mention it's slightly less at Wal-mart? Upon reading my receipt, the included 5 quarts cost $30.00. Isn't that $6.00 per quart? Perhaps my calculator's broken? Oh wait, there's more! I was told my check engine light "may illuminate on the dashboard". "So, what do I do about this?" I inquire. "Take it to our other location where they have the tool to deactivate the light". "Fantastic!" Waste another hour of my time and $3-4 dollars in fuel...sign me up! Newsflash: If you don't have the tools and expertise to do the job.....don't do it! If you go here, bring some lube...you're going to need it at check-out. read more

Consumer Beware If I could give no stars I would. My husband went to get an oil change. Paid 4x what Reno Toyota charges. We live close by so thought this would save us time. They also came out and showed him fluids that were changed at the Toyota 36,000 mile service. Before the guy could say anything my husband told him that he just had those changed. The guy didn't say a word and went back to the truck. Bottomline......they GOUGED him and tried to scam him. Will NEVER go back to this place. Shameful! read more

Never disappointed. Pulled into the driveway and again was greeted by Anthony and another gentleman. Went in for an oil change and they had it done in under 30 minutes. Prices were reasonable and the service was good, highly recommend.

Really good customer service! Friendly, hard working employees. Definitely recommend this business for smog renewals and oil changes!

Employees are great and service was good 2 Stars is for them. The owner was a real jerk and deserves 0 stars. I pulled up and there was 1 car in front of me. A few minutes later 4 cars from KOLO pull up behind me. The owner directed one of his employees to move my car and service the KOLO VEHICLES FIRST. When I stepped outside and asked (nicely) why my car was moved out of line, the owner turned to me and said "if you don't like it get the hell out of here punk"! Shocked, I walked back inside and asked to report him and that is when the employee apologized and told me "that was the owner". The employee then offered me a discount and had my vehicle moved up. I will never go back. read more

I went to this business this morning for an oil change. I walked up and said hi smiling and asked how much for an oil change. The man said what oil do you use and is your car a 6 or 8 cylinder. I had no clue so he looked under the hood and said I think it's a six and quoted me 53.95 plus tax. It took about 20 minutes and I noticed him by the front fender of my car taking my headlight apart. I asked him why and he said my low beam headlight bulbs were out and it's 70.00 to change them( they cost about 5.00 each). I said no thanks and left. My only advice to them would be to smile and act like they want my business. I found them very intimidating and harsh. I won't return. read more

My oil level low light (which I didn't know I had) came on in my Audi tt last Friday. It was a trying week and I felt like the last thing I needed was a car issue! So I pulled into Castro thinking that I would simply ask for an oil change. The guy, whose name I never did get, checked me in and told me it would be about a half an hour. 10 minutes later he came in to me while I was waiting and told me that my car still had another 3800 miles until I needed an actual oil change and service. He said my oil was indeed low and that he topped it all off, and included all of their fluids. While we do bring our other vehicles here, this was my first time bringing this car, and I am really glad that we do business with this place! I think this young man for being so honest, when he could have certainly just gone ahead and done the service, he chose to be honest. In my experience, automotive places aren't always so upfront, I think that's the nicer way to put it. I recommend this place highly to everyone. read more
