Brought my car in for an oil change a few months back bc the sticker on my windshield said I was due for one. The guy working quoted me a price and said it would take about 20 mins. I went inside to wait and he came back in just a few mins later to tell me my oil was still clean and it wasn't going to need to be changed for another 5,000 miles. He replaced the old sticker with a new one. How nice is that? I never would have known. He could have done it and charged me but he was a true gentleman and did not take advantage. They over filled the oil, and now I have to syphon out some of it myself. Over filling the engine oil can damage the engine! They also inflated the tire pressure to 32 PSI, and when I told them that the pressure should be 34 their response was that after driving the car for a bit the pressure will go up. They are supposed to inflate the tire according to the car's required tire pressure, which is indicated on the car door sill. I had to reflate the tires and check the pressure for accuracy myself. I will not take my car to this or any of your locations again. read more

Needed to have the oil changed on my diesel truck late in the afternoon on a Thursday, took it in and in the process of trying to open the hood, the technician broke the Parking Brake Release handle. He was apologetic and gave me the card for the store manager, Jarvis. After a week of trying finally connected with him at a different location where he was scheduled for the day. He paid me for the part, which I had ordered online while I waited for my truck to be finished. Very honest people! Spoke to Jarvis before I came in, received a quote, and right when my car was about to get serviced, he unloaded a lot of very important information about my vehicle to me. As a result, it turns out my car did not need any maintenance done, and he also checked on all my "other" fluids, brakes, and tires at no charge. I went here on a recommendation from a friend. Felt a little guilty straying from my normal auto needs place but thought I'd give it a shot. The guys working here were very nice and it was a painless process with a quick turn around. However, that being said I was a little shocked that my bill was $68 for a simple oil change on my 10 year old car. I suppose if you're looking for the convenience factor and have a time restraint, the price would be justified. I usually pay $45 for an oil change and they rotate my tires as well. Do I have a sign on my back that reads "kick me, I'm a sucker?" My premium synthetic service was quoted at $69.95. I missed the (up to 5 quarts nomenclature). The service techs were prompt, helpful and friendly and let me know in advance that my rig would need a canister oil filter for a $13 surcharge. Upon check-out, my total was $120.00! Huh! I found out they charge $9.95 per quart for premium oil. Yes, you heard me....$10 per quart. Note: The same exact Castrol Synthetic 5w30 oil is available at Wal-mart for $4.88 per quart or $13.50 per gallon). Somehow they forced 7.75 quarts of oil into my rig that only holds 7.5 quarts, so I paid $27 for 2.75 quarts of oil. Did I mention it's slightly less at Wal-mart? Upon reading my receipt, the included 5 quarts cost $30.00. Isn't that $6.00 per quart? Perhaps my calculator's broken? Oh wait, there's more! I was told my check engine light "may illuminate on the dashboard". "So, what do I do about this?" I inquire. "Take it to our other location where they have the tool to deactivate the light". "Fantastic!" Waste another hour of my time and $3-4 dollars in fuel...sign me up! Newsflash: If you don't have the tools and expertise to do the job.....don't do it! Consumer Beware If I could give no stars I would. My husband went to get an oil change. Paid 4x what Reno Toyota charges. We live close by so thought this would save us time. They also came out and showed him fluids that were changed at the Toyota 36,000 mile service. Before the guy could say anything my husband told him that he just had those changed. I went to this business this morning for an oil change. I walked up and said hi smiling and asked how much for an oil change. The man said what oil do you use and is your car a 6 or 8 cylinder. I had no clue so he looked under the hood and said I think it's a six and quoted me 53.95 plus tax. It took about 20 minutes and I noticed him by the front fender of my car taking my headlight apart. I asked him why and he said my low beam headlight bulbs were out and it's 70.00 to change them( they cost about 5.00 each). I said no thanks and left. My only advice to them would be to smile and act like they want my business. I found them very intimidating and harsh. I won't return. read more

My oil level low light (which I didn't know I had) came on in my Audi tt last Friday. It was a trying week and I felt like the last thing I needed was a car issue! So I pulled into Castro thinking that I would simply ask for an oil change. The guy, whose name I never did get, checked me in and told me it would be about a half an hour. 10 minutes later he came in to me while I was waiting and told me that my car still had another 3800 miles until I needed an actual oil change and service. He said my oil was indeed low and that he topped it all off, and included all of their fluids. While we do bring our other vehicles here, this was my first time bringing this car, and I am really glad that we do business with this place! I think this young man for being so honest, when he could have certainly just gone ahead and done the service, he chose to be honest. In my experience, automotive places aren't always so upfront, I think that's the nicer way to put it. I recommend this place highly to everyone. read more
