I started taking my vehicles here about 20 years ago. I had a Toyota with a lift kit and it needed an alignment. I took it to another shop in town and they could not get it done. Need a diesel smogged? Come here. I know there's another location nearby, I won't mention the name, but after dealing with them for years they are always rude. This place on the other hand is phenomenal. Not only can you SIT INSIDE, they have toys for the kiddos, a tv, wifi, coffee, and best of all NICE STAFF. Their shop is huge. Even though I've never had auto repairs done here I did hear a few customers very pleased with theirs as I sat waiting for the smog to be complete. I'm also digging the rodeo decor as well as the we support our troops signs. We will be coming here again and will be recommending to others!!! read more

We used this shop for our fleet vehicles and some of our team tried to use them for their personal. The quality of this shop is terrible! Not tightening oil drain bolts, saying they rotated tires yet the market tires are in the same position, oil still dirty, hoses not connected after repairs. These are just a few examples. This is a 2 part review. Part 1. My mom who is a senior citizen needed a complete tune-up. She called around was quoted between $400 and $600. Pro-1 was one of the $400 range quotes and said they hoped they could get to it before she left for Southern California. They got the car done the next day. They had all of the parts they replaced available for her inspection and discussed it with her in human language (not mechanic speak). Sounds reasonable right? Well the total came in at $360.00. Honest and reasonable is rare in this business and amazing when you can find it. Our hat is off to Bill the Operations Manager as it is the policy of Pro-1 to treat people like they would want someone to treat their own mothers if they came in. Part 2. As luck would have it one of my cars had a charging problem just a week or so later. The first thing that came to mind is that Pro-1 will be honest and has earned my business. They took their time, spent a lot of time diagnosing the issue as the car is full of computers and displays and did not immediately have the same issue I experienced. They only fixed what needed to be fixed even though I had complained about the air conditioner and had authorized a complete service on it was well. It turns out that the problem was the alternator its performance was affecting the A/C. They called me every day that they had my car and gave me an update. The price was reasonable and comes with a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty on the repairs. read more

They had my car for 4 days. Explained to them going in that the work was time sensitive. After 4 days they contacted me and told me they could not do the work as they had no ability to work on older cars despite having been told the year make and model of vehicle when service was requested. They did, however, perform the oil change I requested. The charge was well in excess of what I could have gotten it done for while I waited at another shop. They gave me the number of someone else who could do the work they did not do. The number was wrong. They left their grease covered plastic and paper protectors in the vehicle for me to dispose of. Adjusted my seat all out of position apparently just to move it into the garage from where I parked it despite it being all the way back to begin with. Made me go around the building to recover it from the back lot rather than having it up front when I came to get it. Pretty much did everything as poorly as possible. We've been getting our car Smog Checked here for years. They also do repairs but I haven't actually needed anything but smog checks. This is a facility that provides the opportunity to pay your registration fees at the same time you get your smog check. Smog for Gas is $19. They charge a small service fee of $10 to pay my registration fee also. But it is so handy, it's one of my guilty pleasures! They ALSO SMOG DIESEL! There wasn't a wait today on a Monday at 10:45 am. I raved about these guys but i take it all back. This morning my wife went out shopping and her low coolant light came on I just had the car serviced Friday and it says on the paperwork they checked the coolant, washer fluid all that stuff but it was not the case they didn't check anything . This place turned out to be such a blessing! I had a tire blow out on me at like 130am on Saturday. My car didnt come with a spare, just an "inflation kit" and I attempted to use a plug and fill it with air but it only held from one side of the GSR lot to the other side. I rolled into the parking lot at Pro1 Automotive and called Lyft to go home. 2 days later, I called them half expecting to learn my car had been towed from their lot. Thankfully, it had not been towed and at a time when it seems as if people and businesses are just out to get over on you, I had my faith in humanity renewed by the generous nature and sincere willingness to help me with my predicament: getting the car from there to the Big O Tire shop. They didn't try to just sell me tires, which is what I was expecting. They offered to plug the tire and see if it would hold. They plugged the rather large hole as best they could and even took extra time to ensure it WAS the BEST that could be done, looked up the easiest route for me to take before sending me on my way AND, they REFUSED to charge me for it! Amazing! I don't come across truly good people too often, unfortunately, and I believe they deserve to be recognized for their good will! My son's car broke down and I googled a shop that works on Subarus. Pro 1 came up and I had the tow truck take it there. We called ahead and asked if that was ok and Pro 1 was very gracious. They said they couldn't get to it for a couple days but I was welcome to come to their location and do my own diagnoses. I did just that. While working on it, one of their mechanics came out and told me what he thought was wrong. He was correct and helped me think through the problem. Ultimately, a different shop that had previously did some work to the car agreed to fix it and we didn't use Pro 1. Through this entire nightmare of a day, Pro 1 helped us and didn't charge us a dime. I will definitely take my business to them in the future and highly recommend them. read more

You will love this... I tried to leave my review on Pro1 today (from Pro 1) but it was rejected as SPAM! Funny... they took my credit card today to pay so I guess reviews on their site are cancelled or censored if not positive. So I persisted. I am a fairly skilled mechanic. I moved back to Reno two years ago. I haven't moved all of my tools to Reno (including my O2/Nox removal socket) So I had to punt. I had a check engine light last week. I hooked up my OBD2 tool to locate the check engine light issue. It gave me a code for a bad NOX downstream sensor. I was told by Pro1that they (my tester) are 90% wrong. I know better.... I paid$800 to test AND confirm I was correct (Pro1 said as much) and installed a NOX sensor I told them was bad (I paid another $600 for the sensor). Bottom line.. this place pitches problems to scare you and make you pay... my truck was already on the stand and said F..k fix it although I knew the issue. They have short term thinking... sell now (like a divorce lawyer) and don't worry about tomorrow. My advice: find another local shop that has integrity and repeat your business . This place sucks. I stopped going to my original dodge dealer (long ago) for the same reason. My current dodge/Ram dealer charges more per hour but is honest with labor. Other local shops won't scalp you like Pro 1. I will not do business with Pro1 again and neither should you. I am glad to pay for the part and another 2 hours of labor (but not $800 labor) to do the work. Win the battle (Pro 1) but loose the war (repeat business ). There is NO next time at Pro 1. read more

My car developed an oil leak. I knew it was an oil leak, I could see a little smoke and I could smell it. I took it in and asked them to find the leak. This is what I got back, needs to be cleaned to find the point of the leaks. Thank you Captain Obvious. $134.81 later, still have a leak and no where closer to finding the source. read more
