I had a reservation for a tire rotation. My rep scanned my tires with the new tread detector they have and they were not rotatable. 4 new tires at 107 each and out the door under 5 bills was worth an hour turn around. Would recommend with a reservation. read more

Great service... it took a long time because they had appointments booked but the tires we had flat needed to be ordered. We were in an adventure. One of the rear dually shedded its tracks. We learned that the original dealer put on the wrong tire size. There was checks and rechecks- and they got it right! read more

I got a nail in my tire. The people at Discount tire were friendly and fast. They told me it would take about an hour but they fixed it in 30 min. The waiting room is comfortable and didn't smell like rubber! read more

I went in today for a tire rotation and balancing. I had made an appointment and still had to wait for more than one hour, but I had time today and didn't mind. Billy is always very pleasant, and he even remembered me even though I haven't been in Discount Tires in some time. Thanks, guys! read more

Fantastic! Thank you Billy. These guys are friendly, service oriented, and hardworking. In terms of value, they honor their warranty and price matched Costco. Holy cow! I'm grateful. We buy all our tires here from now on. The place is clean and you can easily walk to Starbucks or Qdoba while you wait. It's close to the freeway too. We bought new tires online before we got here and it does help to schedule your appointment for service ahead. The line moves quickly and is a sign of why they get five stars from me and many others. I ordered the tires and paid for them several days ahead of my appointment. I was there at 9:50 for my 10:15 appt. I didn't leave until 11:45. I sat there for 2 hours with an appointment and a guy that was ten minutes late for his appointment was done before me. So much for being early!! I won't be back to any DT again. Less Schwab is worth the extra money for customer service alone. read more

6 May 2025 - I arrived at the appointed time I set up online Online I'd ordered 3 new tires which were balanced & mounted exactly as I'd requested, online. I'm a repeat customer & have been coming to this location of Discount Tire ever since I moved to Reno in 2014. Setting up an appointment online is THE way to go, for sure. Discount Tire was ready & waiting for me, as scheduled. I'll be back every 5,000 miles to have my tires rotated & re-balanced. I especially like the metal collars that surround each tire's valve stem. read more

My family and I have been going to Discount Tires and bought several sets of tires for our different vehicles! They are nice and courteous and helpful, especially with grumpy customers! This location is always SUPER BUSY, sad to see and hear rude customers who have no patience! As you can see how busy they are! read more

Made appointment thinking would be out within 90 minutes. Wrong! Very disappointed in how discount tire fabricates how long service takes. Unacceptable and be prepared to wait! read more

Yesterday, I spun out and the curb won with my tire. I had originally called tire plus that was next to these guys and they were closing early due to the storm. Finally got my truck in at 1750 and all I need was my spare to get on so I could make it home but they were able to get my tire back on the rim at no charge. They saved me hundreds of dollars and the service was outstanding considering the storm that was dumping over 10 inches of snow. read more

So the key to getting a good experience here is to get an appointment online. In fact, do everything online. Don't try to call, they're too busy to answer the phone. I am currently here right now waiting for a winter tire change (rate is $88 as of today) and the phone has been ringing for 5 minutes straight and still going. It's not that they don't want to answer, they just can't. This place is ALWAYS busy. Always. So, walk-in and unscheduled, you're going to be waiting a LONG time. But if you have an appointment, it's usually just a wait to check in. Most times my car is done on time or earlier than promised. The actual service is very good, techs do a good job, the guys at the desk are kind and curious. It's just the wait and inability to get anyone on the phone that really keeps this place from 5 stars. Hopefully they can get more upfront staff and stations. read more

I've bought three sets of tires from this location to the tune of ~$2500. Two out of the three sets have balance issues. I've brought back one set four times for re-balancing, including one time when I realized they had left ALL WEIGHTS off of TWO of my wheels. There have also been times when they've slapped 10-15g of weight on a single wheel. They still haven't balanced them correctly and I'm annoyed coming back for a fifth time since it's a two hour round trip from my house. Even with an appointment I've waited for an hour and a half or more after my appointment time, including once waiting three hours to be seen with an appointment. I finally had to take my tires to a reputable shop to get them balanced correctly, and now I don't have the bone-shaking, teeth chattering vibrations at ~70mph I was experiencing. That being said, they have a good price match program, they stand by their products, and have a good warranty. Michael and Billy have been really helpful, and Gavin seems to know his way around a tire balancer. On another visit I purchased new tires and brought new wheels in, I asked them to trash the old existing tires but save the wheels, and paid the disposal fee, I left and later looked in my truck bed to find the tires and wheels in there. I had to return to have them remove the tires I had already paid for them to remove. Just don't expect fast service, or attention to detail. read more

When the "low air pressure " warning comes on but all your tires are only a month old, your stomach just drops! The crew at Discount tires were fantastic. Even though they were busy they got me in asap and replaced my tire as it couldn't be repaired. I am so appreciative of their help. A great business, I highly recommend. read more

Wow, Discount Tire makes purchasing tires such an easy process! I had a tire that was consistently losing pressure and I was getting nervous driving my car. I went online to their website and was able to plug in all my car info to find appropriate tires. From there, I was able to select a date and time for an appointment. I could see why some folks wouldn't want to pay in advance online, but I was thankful to also take care of payment before I walked in the door. Their system is very robust in that you get emails and texts both confirming and reminding you about your appointment. I enjoyed the automation of that process to help keep me on track. There is even a text you get that shows the status of progress in getting your car taken care of. I used it once just to see if my car had been taken back. Pretty cool! I drive a Hyundai Kona and four tires cost about $580. That was for disposal, installation, and whatever taxes. I didn't find that price too shabby. When I walked into the lobby, there was a short wait and drop off was very easy. There are computer screens for both you and the technician to go over the summary. They did try to sell me some wiper blades but there was no other sales pitch. I left my key and walked over to my gym. Pickup was just as easy. I waited in line, gave my name, and got my keys immediately. No sales talk whatsoever. Love that! Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience. I would go back and recommend to anyone. 9/10 recommend read more

These guys are awesome!! My car broke down as I was pulling in and they pushed my car into the bay to put my tires on. They also coordinated with AAA to tow my car. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I will not go anywhere else for tires from now on. 10/10 no notes. read more

I went in to get a tire rotation and balance. It was going to be $60. I told Billy and another very nice gentleman. that I was not the one that bought the tires the previous owner of my van there they said no worries. They did the balance of rotation for free. I got there at 8 o'clock. I was done by 8:15 absolutely amazed, and I did not have an appointment. They definitely have my business for life. I was just beginning a 3+ hour road trip from Reno to my valley home and my tire pressure light came on. I found Discount Tire on my maps app near my route, entered their parking lot and saw that they were very busy. I suspect it's because they do a great job. I explained my situation and they worked me into their schedule, found and removed the nail causing the problem, fixed and rebalanced the tire, and had me out of there in about 45 minutes. And they charged me NOTHING for it. I can't thank them enough, and if I lived in Reno, they'd always have my business read more

I've been going here for a few years. I've had two appointments in the last few weeks (two different vehicles) that were a disappointment. The service only takes 15 minutes, but both times I waited at least an hour and a half before my car ever moved. Both times, I had an appointment, but wasted 2 hours. It seems clear that they are overbooking appointments. If this doesn't change, I'll go somewhere else next time. read more

Cheap prices, cheaper service. The only positive was they did have the tires I wanted. The service is sketchy at best. They tried charging me a tire recycling fee even though I explicitly told them I wanted the older tires as a summer set and they were in the back of my truck. They put different sidewalls facing out even though they have different patterns and lettering. And to top it off, they put 82 psi in tires that have a max of 80. I had to return to have it fixed and it took just as long as getting all 4 replaced. Then acted like I was the one in the wrong when I pointed out their issues. The "service tech" tried arguing that it was "normal" but when I showed him proof that it wasn't, he scoffed and wouldn't go get the manager. Pay the $20 difference and get tires at a reputable shop. Or doublecheck the work yourself. read more

Trey was amazing! I popped my tire on my way home and immediately turned around to head up the hill to the closest tire shop. They fixed it immediately and were so helpful and friendly in the process. I will definitely be back when it's time to get new tires for my car. Thanks guys! read more

Huge thanks to Discount Tire! I noticed my tire pressure was low and found a small nail stuck in the tread. I stopped by hoping they could help. The staff was super friendly and professional from the moment I walked in. They checked it out, confirmed it was a simple puncture, and patched it up. Completely free of charge! I didn't have an appointment, but they still got me in and out in under 45 minutes. Definitely coming back here for all my tire needs. read more

Came to discount tire to get some work on my trailer. Called the day before and they told me to come on by and drop it off the next day. I showed up in the morning, waited a few minutes to see someone and showed them what needed to be done, paid and was told it would be ready at 1:30. That time comes and goes and I call them around 2:30 to find out when it will be ready. By this time all plans and any ability to plan anything has gone out the door, I'm told it will be ready 4:00-4:30. Following the app and seeing no update I decided to show up at 5:30 and they just started. As someone who worked in this industry it just frustrates me that they couldn't even be bothered to give me an update or a call to let me know there was a delay. All of our time is valuable and they have. I respect for others time. Unfortunately I wasn't the only person frustrated with their challenges customer service, there seems to be quite a few upset customers that day. If you want to make plans around your all day tire service I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

I arrived a little before my scheduled appointment time, but I was placed at the bottom of the waiting list. Appointments don't mean anything in scheduling their work. I waited an hour to get served as all those in the shop got served ahead of me. Appointments give you a good feeling, but they don't work. Try to pick a time when they have few customers. read more

I update this review as I stand in line. Although I have been here for quite a few minutes, I've already been spoken to twice. Good service! Prompt and reasonable! Also, check air pressure on a drop in with no problem!

Had an appointment at 12:30, Waited 4 hours for them to tell me they couldn't mount the tires.
