Tried Michael's new business Precision Wheels this winter for "blacked out" rims on my Land Rover. Within a week, paint chipping off on all four wheels. Took back to fix and try red calipers. Again, wasn't repaired correctly and calipers not satisfactory either. Looks bad. Trying to support new small businesses in Reno. So I brought vehicle back today, 4/17/25, on one day off/week. Received call at 530pm from Michael stating he couldn't fit vehicle in so wheels not done again. Dropped vehicle off 9am, got call back at 530pm. Lost a full day of errands? Odd way to run a new business. Piss poor actually. Terrible experience. Why not just tell me that he couldn't fit me today? Odd? Time is precious for everyone. Seems unorganized, not structured, and "rushed" work. I needed this done as vehicle is being sold/traded very soon. Will use Land Rover dealership next go round and recommend others to as well. My boyfriend's tire exploded on the way to work from a fallen rock, and the wheel was pretty messed up because of it. Every place he called for service recommended Precision Wheels and Tires, so we checked the reviews and everything looked great. He took PTO just to drop the wheel off for repair. They reassured him it'd be an easy fix and said they'd keep in touch. Days passed. No calls, no updates, nothing. He tried calling, but no answer. So we thought maybe they blocked him? I called from my phone and still nothing. He left voicemails, emails, I did too, even our family reached out. Zero response. And mind you, he's gone 14 hours a day. Four of those hours are just driving to and from work, so it's not like he could go check in person. He gets home way after they close and leaves before they open. He even rented a car temporarily thinking it'd be done in like 2-3 days max. I couldn't go myself because I was out of town. On one of his days off, he went to the shop and they weren't even there. Just a note on the door with a number to call. They didn't answer that either. So he's forced to drive on a damn donut tire for a week, which is insanely dangerous with the weather changing and those tires only being safe for short distances. At that point, we were already pissed. A whole week gone, still no communication, and he had to take another PTO day because it was getting too risky to keep driving on a donut in the rain and near-icy weather. When he finally got there, he asked the guy at the desk if he'd gotten any of his messages. The guy says, "Yeah."So you're telling me you got all those messages from him, from me, from his mom, countless voicemails and emails and you just didn't give a damn to reply? That's literally insane. And the best part? He hadn't even fucking started on the wheel after all that time. A whole week wasted. The guy then says he'll start on it and it'll be done in a few hours, and that he'll call when it's ready. Not even surprised but he didn't even call. Luckily my boyfriend knew better at that point and just drove back before closing to pick it up. For a place with such great reviews, this was a total joke. No communication, no respect, no professionalism. Just a waste of time, money, and energy. Seriously, if you don't have time to spare or patience to be ignored for a week straight, stay far the hell away from this place. read more

Oh boy, How happy I was to find Precision Wheels and restorations. I curbed my Tesla rim and asked the Tesla service if they can resurface the rim for me or if they could recommend someone. Tesla told me they didn't have a person that does this and to just look for a restoration service center. Tesla did give me the option to replace both the rim and tire for the low low price of $947.00 US dollars. So glad I found this shop. It is a little tucked away off Mill ST but the job they did was fantastic and the literal 850 bucks I saved was just as sweet. I highly recommend this shop for your rim repairs for Teslas. read more

On May 7, 2025 I took my Lexus to Precision Wheels & Restorations to have two rims repaired because of curb rash. Michael was terrific to deal with. Friendly and professional service. I had made an appointment a week earlier and they completed both wheels in two hours. They both looked brand new after they finished the repair and for a very reasonable price. We took our scratched-up rim to Elijah (the owner) at Precision Wheels & Restorations on Oct 3 for repair. About an hour later, the rim looked like it had just come out of the factory. Elijah was very professional, courteous, and fast! The rim looks brand new and if we ever need another wheel repair, we won't hesitate to take it to Precision. Prices are very reasonable; in fact, we had expected to pay more and would have been happy to based on the result (my husband was so happy with the rim he gave Elijah a $20 tip, and he is very particular about his vehicle). Regular hours are M - F 9am - 4pm, but Elijah was nice enough to meet us at his shop on a Saturday for the repair. He also offers other services, but his main business is wheels. read more

Elijah and the guys over at precision wheels are simply amazing. As you can tell, they work on a lot of high end cars and you keep seeing more and more of those cars going there. That speaks for itself. I took one of my BMW wheels over to Elijah to see what he could do for me. The one wheel was in really bad shape, for some reason the owner before rode the brakes to absolutely nothing and good ol' BMW brake dust corroded into the wheel or some other form of German wizardry happened. So, I was left with this melted metal/rust/what have you on my wheels that would not come off. I used all sorts of cleaners and even steel wool, which at that point was just cutting down into bare metal. So I took it to Elijah and he helped me out and refinished the whole wheel within a day, not just including the face of the wheel but of the inside as well since that was in bad shape too. The time it took to get the wheel done was outstanding and the price was great too. Long story short: if Elijah can make my wheels look like new, then no wheel is beyond saving! read more

Sorry to hear about your dinged wheels or you wouldn't be here. However, there is hope if you have a $100 bill in your pocket. Best place for wheel restoration in Reno. They do a great job at a reasonable price. I had a curb-rashed wheel with an unusual finish the dealer wanted $1,300 to replace and Precision refinished it to perfection for only $100. So they can probably do your wheel for the same restoration price and result. read more
