I was recommended by multiple sources to come to this place and my only regret is not doing it sooner. They are lovely. Their prices are incredibly fair and they're not going to talk you into stuff you don't need. I went to another place in town that told me I needed $1500 in maintenance and then when I asked again two months later, someone at the same shop told me I needed $400 in routine maintenance. I came here for an oil change and told them that if they noticed anything they thought needed a tune up - I was game as I was about to make a big cross country trip. They came back and said everything looked great. I ran through the list from the first quote I had and they eased my mind. They let me know that they thought all of that was unnecessary and didn't make sense given the past maintenance and state of the vehicle. It was so nice to feel like I was dealing with honest humans. 8/31/2023- Decided to shop around for other estimates for the Lexus and the 4runner. I called to inquire on maintenance service for my Lexus-(that is at the Lexus dealer getting an oil change).... I was expecting to leave a voicemail, but they answered the phone... Nice! Very helpful and casual.. he even said they could just look to see if I need my serpentine belt needs to be replaced on the Lexus.. Since I am having the oil change there, I scheduled for the 4runner to get an oil change.. for next week. The locks of my front doors were malfunctioning. Devine Automotive provided a quote for the work including parts. They also stated that I have the option to bring my own parts, because these particular ones from their contracted supplier would be pricier than what I can purchase from other vendors. They would only charge me for the labor and misc. fees with the understanding that they do not provide warranties on customer supplied parts. This was fine with me, as I knew the parts I could purchase from an online vendor would include their own warranty. I requested, and expected, new brakes, shocks, and possibly a tune-up. They did the rear brakes, plugs, and coils. The shocks and front brakes were good, no work necessary. Every business makes mistakes. Exceptional businesses take accountability and resolve those issues. I had them take a look at my Wrangler which was having issues starting. They diagnosed the issue, fixed it and sent me on my way...only for the car to fail to start and leave me stranded in a parking lot. I had the car towed back, and I was more than a little upset. My first visit was to have a timing belt performed. Me and my wife wanted to make sure that OEM parts where used. They assured as they would be, provided us estimate and even found additional issues that should be addressed along the way. Needless to say half a day later the vehicle was back on the road. Couple months later car developed and oil leak. Took it back to them to verify problem. They added dye into the oil to verify location of oil leak. After a short time is was found camshaft seals where leaking. It was even noticed that the seals where mismatched. Which goes to show always use OEM because previous seals came out of FELPRO kit about 90k ago from service done at another shop. Tadd and Trevor have been honest and up front during the entire process. Their shop and their technicians have performed quality repairs. I could have swore I left a review for these folks months ago, but clearly not. My Hyundai was making a funny squeaking sound and I decided to drop in here to check it out. Not only did these fine folks diagnose the issue as me just waiting too long between oil changes (whoops) but they didn't charge me for diagnosing the issue and only charged me for a basic oil change. I know enough about cars to sort of get by, but I'm no expert, which is why I use mechanics when things I can't handle go wrong. They could have easily said something else was an issue and charged me $1200 for it and I would have just agreed to it, but they didn't and I appreciate that kind of honesty. We had been here before and decided to take our SUV back here to have the A/C system checked out. We already got a bid from a local shop that specializes in A/C units that was quite high. An employee at Devine called us to give us two options to get the unit working better: clean the mice nests out of the blower fan or replace it. We decided to replace it and it is always wonderful when a business can give you options. He told us we had a mice problem and so the blower was clogged up. We heard of this happening before on other vehicle issues and we do park our vehicles on the driveway rather than the garage. It is working great once again. And it shows that it is best to get a second option since the first company told us it was a leak in the system and was going to charge us a hefty bill. We were also told how to keep mice out of the engine compartment with Bounty dryer sheets and we will be doing that. We are happy with their service and we will be coming back. I always recommend people go to Devine when they ask about a mechanic. If there is a service or repair I can't do myself, they are the first place I call. They never try to overdo it on what's wrong and they've always been honest. Prices are fair and sometimes below what I'd expect to pay for the service. If you're buying a used vehicle, take it here for the pre-purchase inspection. A 60 dollar inspection has the potential to save you thousands. If you have some sort of leak, schedule an appointment, bring it in and they'll figure out exactly what it is. I called on a Thursday to setup a pre-buy inspection of a car I was considering. They got me in on Tuesday! I got there abit early, and went inside, and they took my info got my key and said it would be about an hour. I went to find something to do (Sneakers) for an hour and when I came back it was finished. They listed all that needed work and they were professional, friendly and fast. I paid $60 which IMO was a fantastic deal and it saved me alot of money because on their recommendation, the car was not worth buying. Devine has EXCELLENT reviews and what stood out is exactly what we are ALL looking for; honesty, integrity, professionalism, customer service. Well I called in advance to set up an appointment and Tadd was very professional and courteous and confirmed he could work on my Turbo car. Time to update my review I started here years ago when a friend and Yelper worked here, he has since moved on. But the honest service is still here. I recently had my tires checked at a chain shop since they were still under warrantee there, and had my oil changed at a chain oil business because I had a Groupon. I won't be doing that any more. Both businesses gave me a list of items they felt needed to be addressed on my car, totally about $700. I made an appointment for Friday morning to take my car in and see what on the list really needed to be done. I got in early, Kevin took my list. I hung out across the street at a Starbucks and got a call after 20 minutes. The brakes still had plenty of life in them, the transmission was clean and full, it would be a good idea to perform the cooling system flush. Yes, we can do that right now and it would be $98 not $140. And the car was ready in another 40 minutes. I seriously don't know why I went elsewhere. Came here based on reviews, but I guess their customer service was off that day. Came in the time they told me to, dropped off my car, got what needs to be done (they asked me what's wrong as if I was a mechanic, but lucky a buddy who lived out of state Facetime me and told me it was the alternator after a quick trouble shooting), came back, paid, and left. Didn't get an in-depth explanation of what was wrong, more of a "we fixed the problem/alternator, pay up, and get out" vibe. Car still works till this day, but I wouldn't trust the reviews on Yelp regarding the amazing customer service...it ain't there. 3 stars is for getting what needs to be done, but not 4 or 5 cuz I can't judge how good of job without an explanation. Tadd's shop was recommended to me by a friend about 8 years ago. They take care of both my BMW and Truck. I have always been happy with their work. They are honest and able to deliver bad news when they need to. I just had one of the most expensive repairs on my BMW ever. The thing is I could already tell when driving it off the parking lot that the car was running much stronger and better than it had been in a long time. I think some other problems were fixed in the process or something. It was exactly the price Tadd quoted me and I feel like it was a fair price for everything that was done. The other thing that is important with a repair shop is how they help you if something goes wrong. In any type of repair or service business there will be a time or two that things may not go as planned. This did happen once with my BMW's water level sensor. Twice actually. It turns out the part was defective. Tadd took care of it both times, no additional charge, no problems. I'm am glad to have found a mechanic I can trust and recommend. My only negative - I wish you would get someone that can work on the old cars again. I know the mechanic retired but there's got to be someone else that can do air cooled engines for you. read more
