I chose to try out Arrow Automotive because of their great reviews and responses to their reviews. I was not disappointed! I called to make an appointment for fluid exchanges as my car is nearing 90,000 miles. Before they scheduled the fluid exchanges I requested, they offered to do research to look into my specific make, model, and year to ensure that the items I was asking for would be due and pertinent. They called back within 10 minutes, gave me the research the found, and suggested a transmission exchange service and brake fluid exchange. I dropped my car the morning of my appointment and they were done before 2:00. This is the first car shop I've been to that doesn't smell of oil and tires. And the men behind the counter were dressed nicely in button down shirts with ties. They explained what the services would entail and what they should help with. And boy did my car sound and drive better than she has in a while! I recently went online to schedule an oil change and it was the easiest scheduling platform I've used. Called them ask how long to diagnose a radiator problem They told me 1-2 hours. Fixing the radiator depends on the diagnosis. That makes sense. So I scheduled a 9:00 am appointment for a diagnosis. Took the day off. I got there at 8;45 am. They told me they could not diagnose it till 3:00 pm. I showed them my email with a 9:00am appointment They said, oh most people just drop their car off. Their appointments have no meaning. English words have meaning but not to them. I'm sure you can't tell them most businesses just give me the bill and I pay it later in the afternoon read more

The counter clerk made a mistake on the quote, the service writer caught it before the day of service, called to verify if I still wanted the service due to the increase in cost . During the service another fault was found. The service writer worked with my extended warranty and got some coverage. I don't usually write reviews -- if I pay for a service, I expect a fair service to be provided. It's their job! It is contract law. When the family's "Chevy guy" gave me an estimate for over $6000 to repair the transmission on my mom's 2002 Impala, I convinced her to get a second opinion at Arrow. They replaced an RPM sensor on the half/trans-axle for about $2400. Makes me wonder whether our "Chevy guy" even hooked the car up to a damned diagnostic tool for examination. Since then, I've had the brakes serviced and air conditioning compressor replaced, system re-charged. Timely estimates, good work, and conveniently located. read more

Update: 1/5/2025: As of this writing, 194,000 miles on my GMC Sierra 4L60e transmission since Arrow rebuilt it. My GMC Sierra now has 429, 000 original miles on it. (17 times around the world at the Equator). All I do is a full flush (which I know how to do), every 50k. Arrow did and does the rest. I take the best care of my 06 GMC Sierra and am picky who I let work on it. The Transmission shifts smooth and works perfectly to this day after being rebuilt by Arrow. I don't usually write reviews for businesses. We're all busy-who has time to sit down and write a review about a business? I'm one of those people who thinks, if you didn't get a bad review, then that's proof you did a good job. Anyway, I've been a customer of Arrows Automotive for a few years now, and my experiences with them have been nothing but positive. What a breath of fresh air! I've tried many, many different types of car repair shops: from small independent repair and maintenance shops, to tire shops that also do car maintenance and repair, to dealership auto repair departments. All of them ended up disappointing me in one way or another. Some businesses out there are downright sinister. They'll recommend work on a car that isn't necessary or is purely optional. So nowadays, whenever I receive a list of recommended repairs from a car repair shop or tire shop, I go to Arrows Automotive for a second opinion. If the work turns out to be necessary, I trust Arrows Automotive more to do the job, and I leave my car with them. But sometimes, those recommended repairs are completely unnecessary, and Arrows Automotive suddenly becomes a good Samaritan by telling me so. My conclusion is, nobody's perfect. So, I don't know how long this good streak of positive experiences will last, but so far, so good! read more

Initially, I had excellent experiences at Arrow Automotive. When I came to them about an oil leak after my dealership oil change, they identified the problem as a bad oil pan plug screw, which they replaced free of charge. 10/10 experience. They'd became my preferred shop for oil changes and a coolant flush. They were professional and accomodating. Their facility is well-maintained and clean. The waiting room has comfortable chairs, and they provide coffee and tea. When their technician test-drove my car through a construction zone and splattered a few drops of tar on my passenger door, they provided cleaner and rags and we wiped the tar off together. The coolant flush was done superbly. The next oil change went off without a hitch, zero complaints. If anybody asked me where to go for oil changes or car work, I always told them that Arrow Automotive is the place to go. So today I was happy to go to them for my oil change. Strangely, the guy behind the counter was curt and unfriendly. I brushed it off as a Mondays thing. The technician was friendly and professional. The oil change, though somewhat pricy at $106, was done in the expected time without delays. Unfortunately, afterwards when I picked up my car and turned on my radio ALL of my songs were gone and my car console computer was reset to factory settings. I had built up a library of over 1,000 songs over the years, contributed by friends sitting in my passenger seat and putting their CDs into my radio to rip their songs to my car radio's harddrive. Yes, before phones when we used CDs! That's how old my songs were. They were sentimental because when they played, I would remember the friend who had shared that song. Now they are all gone. I went into the shop to mention it to give them a heads-up that their tech might be doing the oil-light reset incorrectly. The man behind the counter was immediately confrontational and combative. He said I was full of crap and was trying to blame them "again". He said he remembered me from helping me clean the tar off my door. He said I was just trying to cause more problems again.I didn't even think the tar thing was that big a deal, especially since they provided me with cleaner and a rag to clean the FRESH WET TAR off. But apparently it has been living rent-free in his head for the last two years. And now he thinks I'm making up my car radio/computer being reset. He became extremely rude and abrasive. I was completely in shock. When I recovered, I told him he had lost my business and I would never be coming back. They will no longer receive customer referrals or glowing recommendations from me. Maybe that guy behind the counter is burned out and needs to find a new job. I wonder if he would have acted like that if the owner wasn't out that day. read more

I am never coming here again. $160 for an oil change, oil filter change and a tire Rotation. They called and asked if I wanted the tire rotation but not that it was going to be extra. They also never called me to let me know my vehicle was ready. I had to call them to see if I could pick it up. Granted, I did ask for premium but the base price for that was $130! I'm sorry but inthe entirety of me owning a car I have NEVER paid that much for all of the above mentioned things. Update: a gentleman by the name of Monte reached out to me on multiple platforms to rectify the situation. He sincerely apologized and offered to either give me the same service for free in the next 5,000 miles or give me a gift card to a restaurant. I sincerely appreciate all that these gentlemen did to make sure I was happy in the end. Although expensive, I would recommend going here if you want to make sure you're taken care of. read more

Took my suv there for an issue, ask to check my brakes because they were grabbing. Found my rear breaks were almost to the rotor (after les swab) said my breaks were almost brand new. They also replaced my ac condenser due to they found it leaking at no charge since they worked on it last year. I'm updating my review. I'll start by saying this shop is reputable, and they do good work. It's done right. Every time even. I'm deducting my rating due to them charging 166$ for diagnosis regardless if they do the repair. So if your repair costs you 700$, which is average for this shop, then you're paying 866$. Used to come here for all repairs, big and little. Between the two of us we've probably spent around 8 thousand dollars here on a transmission, steering pinion and other misc things. I guess I'm just a little disappointed in the additional charge, I understand they probably deal with cheapskates every day, just seems like repetitive charging. read more

This review is based purely on their customer service. I called for a quote for an installation of a fuel pump on a 1998 blazer. From the moment the service guy started talking to me, I was put down as if I had no idea what I'm talking about and said he wouldn't order parts from O'Reilly Auto Parts as their second class. Wow. This was my first time visiting this place. I dropped off my car for a diagnosis and told them up-front that I work on my own cars, and just want to know where a coolant leak is coming from, and some other minor things I couldn't figure out. Ian was super helpful. He understood that I wasn't a pro, but that I new enough to fix a problem. He quoted me roughly $100 for my A/C to be checked, and $100 for my ABS system to be checked. Also told me that since a leak can take a while to find, he'll call me along the way with updated prices on that. Well I got call SAME DAY with the full diagnosis, and a little inspection done. I found out what I needed and went to pick up my car, and guess what! He did not charge me for the diagnosis of the coolant leak and even confirmed the parts I found online for the vehicle were correct. They found no issues with my A/C, but since the problem was intermittent, he said to just give them a call if it has problems again and they'll look at it. This is the best experience I've ever had at a repair business, and I will definitely give them more business in the future. They made what is normally incredibly stressful easy, and they did not try to up-sell me, and was completely understanding when i said I'd fix it myself. Discovered our old pickup truck was in need of a new transmission about a week and a half before we needed to use it to head out to Burning Man. Yikes to say the least! Arrow Automotive pretty much saved the day for us by getting the transmission removed and rebuilt within 6 days. They even noticed that the mass airflow sensor probably needed to be changed out too, while they were in there, and let us know. We declined getting it changed, but later they were happy to do that for us as well, and it also helped a lot on our towing and gas mileage. We were a little hesitant to drive our old beast of a truck out to Burning Man, knowing that this was such a MAJOR overhaul just DAYS prior, but we were delighted with Arrow's work! We didn't have any issues, still haven't had any issues a month later, and after the follow up inspection, are still super happy with both their customer service, speed of service, and quality of work. Talked to James on the phone regarding our Durango that wasn't able to turn over. Had it towed on a Monday morning. They were able to do the multipoint inspection and gave me a quote on the services needed. It was the fuel pump and it had a small water pump leak. They also recommended a battery replacement since ours was nearing 6 years. I'm not one for funny business but they did everything that needed to be done. I received a call at the end day Monday. I also received a call Tuesday afternoon with an update and I also received a call on Wednesday morning. Great communication. All in all, our vehicle was finished by Wednesday morning and at a fair price. Hopefully our vehicle will go another 270k. read more

We were always extremely happy with Arrow Automotive, and have been taking our truck there for years. However, our last maintenance trip with them has left us less than satisfied. We took our truck in on May 2 for an early morning appt. (9am), with the expectation (we asked them) that it would be done the same day. It was for an oil change and troubleshooting a problem with the shift mechanism. They promised they would troubleshoot it and get back to us ASAP. Well, we waited, and waited. No getting back to us. We live in the North Valleys, and since I can't drive, we have to arrange someone to pick up my husband at the shop, bring him home, and then take him back to pick up the truck when it's done. Luckily, we had that arranged for the 2nd. However, when we didn't hear anything by late afternoon, we had to call Arrow. They hadn't even finished troubleshooting the truck! They called us back with the problem, which was more minor than we thought, (thank goodness!) and said it would be done by mid-day on the 3rd. Ok, luckily, our friend could take my husband the next day to pick it up. Next day, no call. By late afternoon, we call, and it won't be ready until at least 5pm. No bueno, we can't get there to pick it up by then. We are not happy campers by this time. We've lost our ride, my husband had built a whole lot of other plans around having the truck the day before, or at least the next day, and Arrow never got back to us as they said they would two different times; we had to call them. The worst part was, the truck wasn't actually ready until Friday, the 4th, when we didn't have anybody to take my husband to pick it up. We've never had troubles like this before with their service or communication, so we were SO disappointed, as we were really counting on them, especially with our transportation troubles. As of now, we are sitting here, unable to pick up the truck, all because they couldn't finish it in a timely manner, or let us know. Not very happy with Arrow and their customer service. An update. James at Arrow offered to pick up my husband after reading this, he was not happy with the review, and wanted to make it right. We appreciated his and Arrow's concern, and wanted to acknowledge that they wanted to take care of us. They did a very thorough troubleshooting of our truck, and did take care of the problem, which was a switch in the transmission, which cost far less than we were anticipating.
