I can't say enough nice things about Bravo Transmission. Javier the owner, came to the rescue again. The first time he replaced a transmission in my Volkswagen Passat. It was done quickly, professionally and at a fair price. The reason I am posting is because of my Ford F150. My husband and I though we needed a new trasmission. We ordered one from Ford but they couldn't put it in for over a month. I called Javier at Bravo and as soon as the transmission arrived (with in a week) he had it shipped over to his shop and had us bring in the truck. He did a diagnosis and told us that it didn't need a new transmission. He recommended a shop and they did the repairs. Javier is going to take care of returning the transmission and will get us our refund. Saved us a great deal of money. I highly recommend him and will go back to him if ever I need transmission work. read more

Bravo transmission installed a rebuilt transmission in my 03 Tundra. It did not function properly from the moment I picked it up and I returned it the same day. I picked it up a week or two later after it was finally repaired only to find the same issues. When I tried to have the the shop honour their warranty, I was told they were shortstaffed and could not even try to remedy it for at least a few weeks . After I took it back for the third time I discovered that the owner of the shop was using it to commute to his house and keeping it in his driveway overnight! I suspect he had been doing that for weeks during the second repair as well by the mileage indicated . I have recovered my truck with the help of the police and I am going to request a full refund for my transmission work and getting it repaired by another company.. This supposed 18 month warranty is worth absolutely nothing and this has been my experience. I had my transmission checked for leaks which was coming from all the exterior seals too many to name but another shop quote me $2300 Bravo did it for 1/2 of that and showed me a video of where the problem was that alone was number one for me, the other shop gave me nothing but a quote for the total work with was rebuilding the complete transmission which I didn't need so that's why I ended up at Bravo. Javier at Bravo assured me that it was just the seals that needed replaced so I gave them the ok in 3 work days the car was completed everything looks great no leaks any more oil looks fresh, great work from this shop I'm gonna make sure they do all my work no my classic thank you guys for service rendered read more

Honestly, transparency and kindness. Bravo took great care of me and my truck. I thought i destroyed my transmission and they showed me that the issue were other (less expensive) issues. (Radiator, etc.) Could have ripped me off but they did not. Instead they sacrificed their time to give me a great customer experience. Walked out the door with information, and no hole in my wallet. Took my Silverado in to get my 4l60 rebuilt with a shift kit and it was probably one of the worst places I've ever went to spent nearly 5 thousand dollars just to bring it back in 5-6 months and add a trans cooler and has the same exact problem took it to a different shop and they fixed the electrical issue they couldn't and not only that my transmission is still not fixed I replaced it from how horrible the transmission was done I couldn't even go on the freeway or else it would start to shift hard and I know most shops would blame it on "harsh driving" but the truck was sitting for 2 months when I got it back with the transmission rebuilt and after the free way about 3 months in I get a check engine light, and I was told there are no more leaks and it still leaks till this day and it's not defamation because I'm just being honest with you're work i paid the price you told me and I didn't receive good work, definitely avoid this shop!!!! ( you keep blaming me for driving the truck without coolant but I would re fill it every 2-3 weeks and the check engine light still popped up when I was driving 60 mph on the freeway I bought a trans temp to, to check the temperature for it and all 8 codes for the transmission popped up again and that's when you said I "need" to get a trans cooler and I took the advice since I thought that was the problem and it didn't even work after everything was replaced and topped off with coolant and the ignition switch was never the problem because I already replaced your transmission and the truck can actually drive on the freeway now without getting a check engine light for the transmission) if you want to keep blaming me for driving harsh when the truck clearly had coolant and I would take care of it go ahead my review will stand firm with the work I received. read more

Ok first off let me start off by saying Javier is one of the most unprofessional service reps I have ever met. My 2008 BMW 335i was left last week of June, he said it would take three days, then when three days hits he calls me and tells me he service techs kid died so that's why the car was taking longer to work on, then another week goes by and he sends me a text to come Friday and pick up car, I end up getting a ride all the way to Reno from Fernley, and Javier is nowhere to be found and he ends up calling me from Mexico saying the car will be done Wednesday the following week. I get there to pick up the car and now the car is in limp mode and won't go passed 20 mph, so I limp it back to the shop to only reach it as tech is locking up for weekend, I end up taking a week vacation and no calls or responses from Javier I send texts to ask on 7/8/24 and he says the car has been ready no communication! So I show up today and the car still has issues, first of all they broke the trim on my passenger door and just left it on floor! They were advised by me that there is still an issue and noise coming from back of car now after the job, a clutch switch broke and Javier does not call me to say hey this needs to be replaced because he broke it and then decides to rig it and make a fix of his own without asking permission to do it. Mind you he did not replace broke clutch switch he put a blot in it on his own he said without a call to me at all. He then plays stupid and say he can't hear the noise in test drive, it was loud enough to hear it's a rotating sound that won't go away now. Javier said he would replace the broken door part then took his word back after I confronted him about poor service, he sends me a text telling me a 16 year old car has parts that just break , also the water pump mysteriously just went bad sitting for three weeks at his shop he says. Not his responsibility he claimed. Javier is in the business of fixing parts and getting by with what he can. But if symptoms occur that were not there on drop off he denies all wrong doing and sends you on way. Javier is unprofessional and rude. Javier Takes no accountability for giving poor service. He threw my keys at me and said leave! He cut me off two times in middle of complaining about his service to tend to another walk in customer without saying excuse me. Do yourself a favor don't come here to save a few bucks, DONT DO IT ! Go to a real transmission shop these guys are not what you would say professional. And they break your car more and play dumb. They give you your car back in worse condition than what you left it at there shop for. Avoid these guys save a headache and unprofessional service. I will be dealing with civil court with this shop. I Read all reviews. If someone doesn't have one bad review it worries me. Sort of like when you go look at a review on Temu or wish and everyone was saying it's great and magnificent then you get your item and it's not even close to the description. Then you know they were paid for their review. I seen Bravo's reviews and got worried, but we were down to one vehicle, and in the process of moving and a whole bunch of other things. Bravo was available the very next day to rebuild or install. Most of the other shops were a month or so out. Desperation kicked in, and I had to make a decision. He quoted us to rebuild a tranmssion and to install a new one. We purchased a refurbished tranmssion online, it took a week or so to get to bravo's. He allowed our vehicle to stay in his lot since we had to get it towed until the shipment arrived. The manager, Javier was a very nice guy. He was communicative every step of the way, he even sent pics periodically . Never had a business do that before. We had a few minor problems I could've fixed myself, such as replacing the radiator, sway bar link, etc. we were approved for x amount with financing they provided, so I asked if we could throw the rest of the problems on the invoice. He went thru the vehicle with me step by step, explaining what he thinks is necessary and what wouldn't be necessary atm. Since we were approved for the amount I thought I'd save time and let them do it. They got it done for a very fair price, ordered the parts himself, and the labor was done within 3-4 days total. We had a lot of things covered, and they warranty their work. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a nice shop to drop them vehicle off. And btw, you'd think with the availability they had they wouldn't be a busy shop, that could be further from the truth. They rotate their vehicles off the lifts with waiting vehicles on their lot! Had a clutch done. Immediate vibrations when clutch engaged. Brought it back only for them to tell me I have idle issues now. They would not even check to see if they had done something wrong, just immediately sent me away. If they mess up, they will not own up to there mistake. My car is currently at another shop getting the clutch looked at again to get there "proof".... SMH. Just avoid getting any work done to begin with. 0 star rating on quality assurance. The guys are all super nice people but dont let that fool you. It's YOUR problem when they mess YOUR car up!! read more

First transmission rebuild failed within 500 miles. Second rebuild left me stranded 300 miles from home after only 1,996 miles. It was determined tech overfilled transmission by 45 ounces. Transmission completley failed at 21,757 miles. Third rebuild is now slipping after only 16,818 miles. Vehicle was delivered to me with VSA light on, park neutral switch was improperly installed and transmission was overfilled again by 15 ounces...... read more

This shop is Awesome! Javier and his crew are ridiculously transparent, showing me everything that pops up as it comes. He even sounded genuinely happy when he showed me my tie rods and I told him that I have all the parts to replace them tonight. Very honest crew, updating the price the second they know, which is very affordable for the record. I haven't even left the shop yet and have already referred this business to people I know. Transmission went out on the old Tahoe. 2nd time now so we contemplated car payments and a newer vehicle. Decided to check around for pricing just in case. Found out 1. Most shops are not responsive, at all. 2. some are very busy to push the job out for weeks. Javier from Bravo was EXTREMELY responsive. Had a yelp chat back and forth several times and he was able to diagnose some things over the phone. Gave a competitive quote, got the truck in there on a Monday (Cal Nevada Towing is pretty awesome too) and the truck was done on Friday. They would take pictures of problem areas and offer options for repair and replacement. Very open on the costs for all options. The proof will be in the pudding and I will update the review down the road updating the status of the transmission. Very satisfied so far and even recommended the shop to the guys at work one of which is also getting work done now. read more

Worst Autoshop I have been too! Went in to replace my old transmission for a rebuilt one. After the work was finished, about a month later I went back because I told the owner the transmission kept slipping. I ended up taking it in and the owner said that there was nothing wrong. So he told me to "keep on driving it till something happens." So I did exactly what he said and it had kept doing the same thing for about a few months until one day I let my mother drive my car and she calls me while I'm at work saying that the car didn't grab gear at the freeway entrance and that a car had almost hit her. So I had enough I called the guy. Told them it's doing the same thing and he said to just bring it in. During that time my moms truck was in the autoshop and I told him that. He has said to bring it in whenever I can but soon. I finally brought the car in and he said it's my fault the transmission is slipping because there was only a little bit of coolant in the reservoir. I had asked him how is that the problem if I brought it to him last time and it was full on coolant? So long story short he took pictures of the coolant spilling over the motor so he could use against me. I called my dealership where i purchased my car and they were the ones who recommended this clown. She had told me they've always had problems with Bravo Transmission that he won't own up to his work if something goes wrong. I'm super disappointed that a man won't own up to his work and his shop and his employees. They had just told me to file a small claim with the police if I want my transmission replaced. Or my money back from him. So I might consider it. I would stay far away from this place! Especially a shop that won't own up to there mistakes!! I would give 0 stars if could! When I called the owner the next day to let him know my truck wasn't fixed he became very defensive, rude and condescending and hung up on me.
