I needed a tailpipe relocation done for my 2020 Jeep Wrangler. I was referred to LT Automotive for this by my regular shop. Blake got her up on the rack to see what he could do. Came and discussed options with me. Wow! What he did was top notch! Shortened the pipe, and moved it off to the driver's side, tucked it under my rear bumper. It looks great! I don't write a lot of reviews.... My dad's truck was making an obnoxious exhaust sound. I spoke to John and he was extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. Ended up with a worst case cracked exhaust manifoled. John made sure I had a ride home, completed the agreed work (including new muffler and transmission gasket service) and the truck has never run or sounded better. Took my car ( ford mustang ) to LT automotive the customer service was perfect therefore the 3 stars, on the contrary I was charged a 170 inspection fee for them to find nothing. huge squeak in suspension due to a faulty control arm, they suggested to lube the suspension and drive it for a week,obviously the sound persisted, gave them a call back to see if they could check again only to be told that they will charge me another inspection fee, took the car to another shop in less then 30 minutes they identify the problem and fix my car in a week ( mostly waiting for the part ) Would I come back ? Maybe for an oil change but nothing else. read more

Based on my history as follows with LT Automotive, I will not return: 1st experience - Based on a friend's recommendation, I took my old work truck in for a brake repair, anticipating $800 cost but ended up getting other repairs they suggested were needed which ended up being $2500 total. Fair enough as they were all done with my approval. 2nd experience - Shortly thereafter I received a $44 courtesy check as an incentive to apply next visit to any service so I took my personal truck in for an oil change. They do the work and Jasmin rings me up and tells me she can't apply the coupon to the $146 charge even though it specifically states good on oil change. After some argument, she reluctantly accepted it. 3rd experience - 8 months later, just in time for the next oil change, I receive a second courtesy check in the mail for $44 so I hesitantly take my personal truck in again, thinking the first experience was probably a fluke. This time I sign the quote for $157 fort an oil change, but when I pick it up the charge is $227!! After questioning the overcharge, the cashier tells me there was added expense due to the certain oil needed and asked if I had a coupon which happened to get my charge relatively close to the prior service. I told my friend that originally recommended LT, and he too had a similar experience with LT Automotive with the incentive they sent him to be used on service. BOTTOM LINE: Although I have no reason to question the quality of work LT Automotive does, they seem to LACK INTEGRITY IN THEIR BILLING PRACTICES and after my last two experiences with them, I wonder if the extra work they recommended on my old truck was even necessary. I find it amazing that a company offers an incentive to encourage your patronage, and they manage to turn it into a super negative which ultimately deters it. Car would turn over but not start. Had my car towed to their shop. They were very busy, but because I am a regular customer they squeezed my in on a Thursday afternoon. Within 2 hours they notified me of the problem - dead fuel pump. They ordered the part, did the repair and had me back in my car by Friday noon. Great service, honest and trustworthy business, nice people - I have been using them 10+ years and have never been dissatisfied with their repair services. A check engine light popped up and my AC has been on the fritz, so I was looking for somewhere to do a diagnostic for both problems. They only do diagnostics in the morning, so I made an appointment for Friday and dropped it off first thing! I figured since there were two problems to be checked out it would take all day, but at 10a I received a text with a link to details of my diagnostic. I haven't had many diagnostics done before so I don't know if it's typical, but the link had details of everything they checked on my car and notes from the mechanic on the status of issues and things they recommended I consider in the next few months! It was great to be able to see this laid out so clearly for me rather than only explained over the phone. The AC issue turned out to be an easy fix, and I was told that the check engine light was a problem that doesn't impact how my car runs and while they gave me a quote for that work they told me it wasn't necessary. I really appreciated the honesty of that!! While the work was done around 10, they let me wait until the end of the day to pick it up. I appreciated the diagnostics link I was given and the honesty to give me the quote but let me know it wasn't necessary, and I'll definitely be coming back next time I have an issue! read more

Had my vehicle in there for them to weld a new muffler and do a y-pipe delete a couple months ago. I recently got skid plates for the undercarriage and noticed not only did they weld my muffler on hanging too low, preventing me from mounting my new skid plates but they also didn't do a great job welding the tubing- they didn't use a wire wheel or anything to remove the rust from the old pipe they just welded directly to the rust, the puddles are sloppy and there was still chunks of welding rod/wire hanging off the tubing. Plus they overcharged for the welding- I was willing to overlook the cost but the quality of welding and the mistakes they made are going to require me to get it rewelded. Please refer to the photos at the top of the page, you will find the work they did is amateur at best. They do not know how to weld here. read more

Took my daughters car in as we had a bad experience with another shop. Said we needed a new water pump...after they had just replaced the water pump less than a year and less than 10k miles ago and wanted to recharge us full price. Nope! Took it to LT, wasn't even the water pump. Grrrr They fixed the issue at hand and had car back to me within a day. Trusted them so I took my newish Audi to them instead of the dealer. They did an oil change and inspection to see if anything was a miss. All good. The only downfall. They didn't have the type of lift for my car to rotate and balance tires. That's fine. I'd rather them tell me that than have my car jacked up...until that car is paid off, it's name is Girlfriend...she costs me as much as one! Super friendly staff...the lady at front desk was wonderful. Responsive and reasonable. I'd recommend them to my friends and co workers any day. read more

Came here to have some exhaust system work done. I originally bought an aftermarket exhaust system and needed someone to install it and possibly modify it. I called around most of the exhaust shops in town and none would even touch it. Ayers said they could but wasnt sure they could get me in when I needed. Zambonis said they'd do it for around $800 Labor!! These guys are nuts btw. I finally called LT and was told they could get me in the next day and were also to make small modifications if needed. I dropped my car off the next day with them and the entire staff was friendly and very helpful letting me know the labor rates and how long it could take. They also test fitted the system to make sure it would fit before I left it there. Very helpful. I was quoted around 2 hours labor and some parts totalling around $300. Few hours they called me and said it was complete. Came back to pick it up and the quote they originally said was just that and no extra charges or hidden fees. Car sounded great and they were just as impressed as I was. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

Has your auto repair shop ever saved you $13,000? Mine did! My GMC's engine light came on and the pickup engine shook. I live in Sparks Nevada but my truck broke down in Northern Ca where I work. I had my truck towed to a Gmc dealer to get it looked at. The dealer diagnosed the truck engine had a "washed out cylinder" due to a leaking fuel injector and recommended a new engine at a cost of $14,000 I made a call to LT Automotive. I had my truck serviced there, and tuned up 5 weeks prior. (I used the night drop box, and picked the truck up after hours). I called them because I wanted there opinion about my problem. In fact I made a number of calls to them. I talked to Mark, John and the other John, and they were skeptical of the diagnosis. They recommended that I have my truck towed to another mechanic in California for another opinion. They were very concerned and helpful. I made the decision to transport the truck 170 miles to LT instead. the truck arrived at LT on Wednesday, and John called me Thursday and let me know that my truck was purring like a kitten, and the problem was a broken valve spring. They had ordered the parts and fixed my truck! I can't even tell you how happy I was! I have never even met this team in person, yet they treated me like family! My brother in law recommended LT to me, and I highly recommend them to you! read more

Last week my car broke down quite unexpectedly. It started making a screeching noise on the way to work, tried to stall as I parked in the lot at work, the check engine light came on, smoke came out from under the hood, and there was a strong smell of burnt rubber. I had the car towed to LT Automotive. They had no advance warning I was bringing the car in, but they were able to look at it the next day. It was determined I needed a new power steering pump and belt. They ordered the parts and my car was ready this past Tuesday. I went to pick up my car yesterday and Tanya was a delight to do business with! She was friendly, informative, helpful, and efficient. She billed me out, moved the car parked in front of mine, and I was on my way. My car has never steered better! The price was fair and they were able to do an oil change too. Did not replace an axle properly and has caused several thousands of dollars in damage to the vehicle. They refused to fix. Took to another repair company that also claimed the damage was caused from an axle being improperly installed by LT Automotive. But wait! Also had them work on a jeep at the same time and they improperly installed the calipers and forgot to put brake fluid cap on. The owner of LT automotive is a rude and disrespectful person that has a history of stealing thousands from their customers.. They cost me over 4,000$ to fix the issues that was caused by LT automotive.. go somewhere else and don't listen to their fake "Good" reviews. read more

Not usually one to leave a review but this was absurd. I took my car here on October 11th 2021 for an inspection I told them it was more than likely a wheel barring because I had experienced this same issue in my car before and it was a wheel barring the last time. I just needed it to be diagnosed and fixed. They told me it was definitely not a wheel barring but instead a transmission issue. When I picked it up I even asked again that they were 100% certain because I had a long road trip ahead of me. They said yes they deal with wheel barrings all the time and positive it was not. Thank god I didn't trust their opinion and took it elsewhere for a second look before getting on the road. Turns out.... it is a wheel barring! What an absolute waste of 160 bucks. read more

Stock 2012 Ram 1500 that just does not sound good(at all really) stock. This is due to the extremely restrictive stock exhaust and resonator. These guys are awesome they installed my aftermarket exhaust and removed resonator. Now it absolutely sounds like a Hemi. I cannot get enough of the sound and always drive with the windows down now.
