My Tiguan's issue was with certain dashboard lights coming on, and the engine sputtering and stalling upon acceleration. The referral mechanic fixed it, and within a couple months, the issue started off and on again. It was frustrating. I almost returned to the referral mechanic, but decided I wanted the issue fixed once and for all. Boy, am I glad I did! I called Reno Buggie Barn and made an appointment to drop off the vehicle. Dropped it off and the next morning, Spencer called me to explain the issue and gave me an estimate. I gave him the go ahead and the repair was completed that afternoon. When I picked up the Tiguan, Spencer had the parts he had replaced, and explained the repair to me. WOW, imagine that, a mechanic that explains the repair work to you! Spencer also gave me estimates for other work that the Tiguan needed down the line. Needless to say, I am grateful to have found Reno Buggie Barn for my Tiguan. Now it is leaking again in the same place no damage or anything so I don't know why it would just leak out of the blue unless they purposely seal it long enough where It will begin to leak so I can bring it back later. I reached out to several mobile mechanics through Yelp on Thursday evening, and Jim was the only one who responded initially. He was able to schedule us for Saturday afternoon, which was critical since we were supposed to head home that day. Another shop didn't have availability until Monday and the other high rated mobile mechanic was out of town. Because of storm-related commute issues earlier in the week, Jim ended up arriving around 4pm instead of noon. Totally understandable given the conditions. He worked outside in freezing weather and never complained once. Jim was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He was great with my wife, my son, and even let our dogs jump on him and give him kisses. Despite the tough conditions, he got the job done and got us safely back on the road with a solid new CV axle so we could make it home as planned. I'd hire Jim again in a heartbeat.
