Jesse is not an honest person. He requested full payment up front for our transmission. He also asked for a $2000.00 core fee be paid up front. He guaranteed we would get this money back after core returned. He put this in writing. When the job was completed, he refused to refund our $2000.00. He took advantage of us, probably because we are seniors, and we do not advise anyone to ever pay him in advance. read more

Called in for a transmission rebuild quote and was told $1,200. I asked to confirm if that was them pulling the transmission or me bringing it in. Also was told it would take about 5 days. It ended up being over two weeks. Then tried to charge me $2,100 once the work was half way done. It ended up being $1,500 just to change a few of the parts and not a complete rebuild. The car also a brand new paint job (classic car being rebuilt 2 week old paint job) and they scratched it in multiple places. I had to touch them all up after and didn't bother arguing due to the nearly criminal practices I had experienced already. Spend your money some place else. read more

I toasted the automatic transmission on my 08 Scion driving it as a manual while going over the I-80 pass. It started slipping out of gear, and only really worked in third. Which is hard as you gotta go through two others to get there. I took it to Aamco. They wanted to give me a used transmision for $1800 bucks, which I find is a pretty penny for a 3 month warranted product. I then went to Levco on recommendation. Way better choice. Jesse took the car for about a week and completely tore down the transmission to find out the problem. He brought me to the workbench to show me the problem. I had burned some of the rings and they were slipping. He gave me two choices, replace it with a used transmission for $1700 used or rebuild it for about $2700. That's kinda a wide range, but after chatting with him on the pros and cons of rebuilding (guaranteed to work, and a one year warranty), we split the difference at $2260. I'm happy with that. I also mentioned that my other car has an oil leak and asked to make an appointment to get it fixed. He poked around the engine and told me to buy a $6 oil cap with an o-ring seal. That the oil was splashing around and out the top. he could have charged me to fix a non-existent engine leak. He took the honest rout. Ill be back for all my auto repair needs. read more

This mechanic was a godsend. My friends were stranded in the middle of nowhere in their bus/motorhome conversion for quite some time. When a tow truck driver passed by and contacted Jessie,(I'm assuming the owner of the shop). Who drove a great distance and diagnosed the problem. He then left, drove back into town to buy the parts and came back to make the repairs!. Might I add, for a very affordable rate. My friends would have been SOL without this guy. This is the only time in my life that I have felt good after having a shop fix my vehicle. I was driving to school in Reno in my Chevy Silverado when it suddenly popped out of gear and would not move. I'm thinking that I just lost my tranny. After looking at a few reviews on google, I had my truck towed to Levco. Jesse was very nice right off the bat and after a quick diagnosis saw that I had blown a transmission cooler line. Apparently the previous owner had patched (jimmy-rigged) the cooler line previously and that was where it blew. Jesse gave me a couple options including re-patching the line for cheap or replacing the line. I went with the replacement. Jesse showed me how much he was supposed to charge for this job and then did it for a couple hundred less. He then gave me a ride to school while the work was being done! These guys really go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy, which is something that I have NEVER experienced in this industry. And they are willing to work with you on the cost of the job within reason. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for an honest and fair mechanic. *This all happened a couple years ago, I am just now writing a review because I am headed back to Levco with no reservations for some work on my new (used) truck. read more

Wow!! I cannot say enough about Jessie/ manager and the Levco Transmission staff. I had received a diagnostic/quote from another shop on Glendale who basically stated my 2015 regularly maintained Cvt transmission was blown and needed a new one at $9,500. I called Jessie for a second opinion and he told me to bring it down. Within a day, this man found the issue was a sensor. I went from the $9500 quote to a $500 repair. It was repaired within a few days and I also requested a tune up, which he took care of and gave me a couple hrs of labor for free! So you know how people are always asking "Can you help me find and HONEST place to take my car?" THIS IS THE PLACE! Seriously! They DO exist! I had to get an oil change and I had heard of Levco from some friends. Yes, they specialize in transmission work, but they do everything with cars. We were getting ready to take a trip to California and I really needed an oil change and wanted to make sure all was well with the car so I stopped by and spoke with Jesse and made an appointment for the next day. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and smiling (I can't stand it when I go somewhere and no one is smiling). Jesse was very friendly and my little girl was even at ease! After they were done with my car, he brought me out to show me my engine and gave me some suggestions on how to make my engine last longer. ...Yeah, yeah, I know you're thinking, "oh, he just wants to make more money," NOT AT ALL! He even offered to mechanic of my choice (if I chose to not come back to Levco) and tell him what he saw so it could be fixed! Seriously, not going to be an issue. I was so nervous about taking my suburban anywhere for repairs. First off, I wasn't exactly sure what was happening with mine, had a different shop tell me nothing was wrong with it less than two weeks before finding Jesse and his crew at Levco Transmission. Not only did Jesse ease my mind about the repairs he was doing, he explained things along the way, too. Not in a rushed or irritated way, either. Jesse sat and explained details about the options we had, what it would cost and he even handled my warranty stuff.Awesome, right? Probably the happiest mechanic I've ever personally met. Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I first came in to see that there was a huge fish tank in the lobby with some fish and bird cage with 2 of the most adorable birds. I could not start my jetta one day and so i had to have it towed. I was asking around for a good shop that is not only reasonable in price, but that does a good job, as well. If you have transmission troubles, I highly recommend Jesse. He carefully checked out my car before telling me that the only option was to pull the transmission and open it up. He found that the Low Reverse snap ring had broken and a piece of it got into the transmission pump and broke the pump. He explained the options and the costs to go along with each. I decided to have him rebuild the transmission, for me (I still love my car), it was the only option. He also completed much of the hundred thousand mile maintenance that going to be due. When a part he replaced broke and caused damage to the intake valves, he took care of it and made it right. My 2001 Dodge Stratus (Mitsubishi Eclipse with Dodge body) has 99200 miles and it runs as good as it did the day I drove it off of the lot new. Thank you Jesse!! read more

Coming back from burning Man, we thought our Rv was done for. We got towed to sparks nevada on Labor Day so we couldn't call around. So we went out on a limb, & dropped her by the top rated automotive shop, hoping that when they opened in the morning, they'd be able to help us. The first place was booked out for 2 months, so they sent us down to the next shop which also would not take us in. They referred us to Levco, all on the same street, walking distance from where we dropped her. Herman greeted us with such positive energy & hope & told us to come by in a couple hours. They dropped everything to take care of us, even though they had a transmission due the next day. They started working on her at 1, & troubleshooted all day. Alvaro was shoulder deep in our engine for hours. Replacing all the things we needed to get our dear Lucille running again. These guys do Jiffy Lubes hack work. In other words they do liability work where Jiffy Lube has destroyed their costumers car and Jesse is going to "Take care of it ". Jiffy Lube agrees to have your car repaired but then it gets to Levco and that's where they put the pinch on you. Horrible experience at both places. What prompted this review is now , six months later my oil pan is leaking like a sieve. And no, I won't bring it back for your stinking warranty. He tried to squeeze me for $800. read more

After a very horrible experience and false advertising with Harry's Quality Cars, I took my 2000 Honda Accord into Jesse and his team to get it checked out. My car was leaking oil and transmission fluid all over the place after three days of driving it and many other things that resulted in having to replace the engine entirely. I was shocked and devastated at the bad news and lies that were fed to me by this POS lot and really didn't have much money to get all this fixed. Jesse was very compassionate and honest about the situation and worked with me financially so I could get everything fixed that I needed to. Jesse and Herman always do a great job. Their customer service is outstanding. They will work on your car until they figure out what the problem is. They always fit you in to repair your car even when they are really busy. Jesse always gives you a good price on repairs and calls to follow up to make sure you are satisfied with the repairs that have been made. We were on a family vacation in our RV and upon pulling into our campground, discovered that our tow vehicle would not go into gear. We were stranded. My car decided to start having transmission like issues right before we got to Sparks, NV. I was just glad to make it to my moms house. I called several transmission shops the next day and all were closed except for Jessie's shop. He took my car in and in no time had a couple of solutions. He even took enough care to test a part before he installed it to make sure if my part was good or not. What shop will go out of there way to help you save money. I don't know of any but this one.
