Needed to have my tire rotation as scheduled. Made an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Since it was early morning they were already very busy. But they were able to check me in at my scheduled time of 08:30. A technician checked out my car and it was quickly in the garage and work began. At 08:35 I got a notice that my service would be done by 09:06 and that is exactly when my car was ready! This shop has consistently provided me with exceptional service. On time and well done. Thanks Discount Tire! read more

Driving down the freeway had a flat tire. I put the donut spare on the van . I looked up on yelp to find out where there was a place to fix a flat. As I know you can't drive far or fast with the donut. They were courteous and took the tire in informed me that they would check to see if the tire could be repaired. They said the tire repair would be free. That's very nice. I had to leave the tire there as they were really busy. Within two hours, they called back and said that the tire was not repairable. They asked me to call them and they would help me get another tire. I returned the next day, and they brought the tire to my vehicle and the rim . Buying a tire, however, I do have a road hazard agreement with Bill Pierce Honda so it was not necessary. Bill Pierce verified that the tire was not repairable . Fast friendly courteous can't ask for more. I should've checked to see the price of the tire. To see if it was a good value. read more

Been going to this places for years.we always buy our tires here too. What i love is they take care of you. They even threaded a bolt and then gave me a free work order form.to go to another ship that replaces them. The best part its a local shop. So they support other locals. They got us in right away, fixed the bolt and we were on our way. They are always honest about my tires amd its safety. As a female I trust and feel they support me without trying to sell me things I dont need. They even would tell me when they recommend a tire change. Never making you feel forced. I rotate the tires twice a year, or as needed. They monitor its health and once a new one is needed, I order it online and book the appointment. Its always fast service..I wait in store and the kiddos love watching them work. Great service and great staff! read more

6/5/25 Ooops long time just trying to keep up with my reviews . Let's get into it.... Let's start with Top Notch Service . Tyler initially helped me and got me the tires that I needed. Was able to get the discount on the tires that said online only so that was awesome. Edwin also helped and pointed out something on my car that would need attention at some point so that was good . Very attention to detail and taking care of car. The whole team was awesome. Took about 45 min to get tires installed was very quick and the tires look great. Got it all done and for a decent price. Enjoy !!!! read more

Will, Rafael and Edwin are a power house trio out front in their service lobby making their customers feel seen, addressing their concerns and making us feel valued in their approach to even a free service. I made an appointment to check my tire for nail impact and my wife the same, both of us having discovered nails in our back left tire. The guys took tremendous care of us. A service that again, while it costs them their time, makes for a tremendous lasting impression and why I'll continue to bring my vehicles to their location for tire change, rotation, upgrades and services. Thank you! read more

Since the writing of the original review, The store owner reached out to make the situation right. Within a couple days I was in touch with corporate and they offered to reimburse me for the repair costs to my vehicle. Which they did in full. Honestly this is a 10/10 recovery. I have adjusted this review accordingly. Thank you for reaching out and making this right again. I appreciate it, and I may be returning to your store at a future date, possibly for some new tires! Original review below. vvv Had these guys install my winter tires, which were already on rims. Simple swap. The previous shop that put the summer tires on cross threaded 1 bolt. This shop contacted me and informed me they would have to break the bolt to get the wheel on. Understandable. Go ahead. I had the lug and stud replaced by my usual shop. No issue. the shop did find one that Discount Tire put on that was broken. that was replaced too. (~$200 fix, keep this in mind) Fast forward to May. I want my summer tires on. I get the tools to do it myself (~$200 for the tools) After attempting to remove a single wheel myself, i discovered 2 cross threaded bolts. I stopped and ended up taking it to a shop. HERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT 5 BOLTS WERE SEVERELY CROSS THREADED. To the point where the shop working on it called me to inform me that the initial estimate of $345 would now have to be $691. I even went and bought the correct studs and lugs for them to replace the broken ones. So in total, of the 20 lugs and studs on my car, they managed to ruin 6 of them. 30% of the parts holding my wheels on were effectively broken. Imagine getting a flat somewhere, With all those cross threaded bolts you couldn't change the tire. You would have been stranded. In total, costing me OVER A GRAND to fix their botched wheel swap. Because they didn't thread the lugs on correctly and just jammed the lugs into the wheel with the air wrench and called it a day. read more

Always been a customer but recently they really need more employees! Two hour wait geez

I wish I could express how amazing these humans are at this location. The manager was so kind, patient, and understanding when we needed a good deal on 4 tires. I will be recommending this location to everyone we know and if you go there, TEDDY is an incredible human & he will take amazing care of you. read more

Service has started to slip at this location, hence my update. Recently I placed an order for a set of tires and wheels online to be picked up in store. I received a total of 3 calls from them stating that my order was ready to be picked up. I get down there to find out my order was not ready, nor was it even complete with parts still waiting to ship. Frustrating to say the least, not to mention this place is short on parking so on busy days you may just have to leave and come back at a different time because there isn't anywhere to park. We had one employee suggest parking in the street, but it is clearly marked "No Parking" by the city. read more

Dealt with Rafael and I must say job well done! This location is a little tight to get in and out of but the guys are easy to work with and they have a texting service that lets you know when the job is being worked on and is done and ready for pick up. No more waiting to get a call to come pick up. Discount tire auto text was perfect. I needed 4 golf cart tires mounted and many places in reno either won't do it or charge $30+ a tire. Discount tire was reasonable and did the work quickly. Would recommend to others! read more

I've purchased tires from this discount tire previously and been happy with the tires. I had to replace a couple recently and they forgot to put in the order so I showed up and I had to come back again later not a big deal but I'd recommend checking with them to make sure the tires if they're ordered that they are in before you show up for your appointment but they were very apologetic and once they got the tires in they took care of business and it's all good. read more

Was able to make an appointment on the same day for four new tires (and in the middle of a snowstorm!!). Bought tires and booked appointment online which was super easy, and tires/ installation ended up being $260 less than another large chain tire store just down the road. Employees were very attentive upon arriving at the store and once checked in, I received a link to check my vehicles progress and job was completed quickly. read more

I made an appointment online to have a wheel alignment and a tire rotation. I was helped by a very nice young man named Logan. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He informed me that one of my tires was unsafe and I needed to replace it. He helped me to pick out two new tires that were compatible with my vehicle. He went over in detail the pros and cons of all three and helped me to make an informed decision. This young man is an asset to your company and you are very lucky to have him on your team. Thank you Logan for the amazing customer service!! read more

10/10 would recommend! I live in Tahoe and let me tell you, it was worth the drive. I walked in 30 minutes to close like a jerk and they were welcoming and friendly. Told me no problem getting new tires! The entire staff was extremely friendly but Rafael is the real MVP. He took care of me and my car. Even went out of his way to clean off my tires of dried product when he really didn't need to. Will for sure be back to this location read more

So we were driving in Reno, and next thing you know, we hear something like a pop noise, and we don't know what to do, so we just drive around a little bit, and our tire gauge tells us that our tires are running low on air. So I looked for the nearest tire place near me, and this place came up, so we drove there right away, and they had a place where you could drive through to check air on your tires right away. The guy walked around and came out and noticed that we had a screw inside of our front tire and told us we needed to go in and talk to them. So we did that, and within an hour it was fully repaired and didn't cost anything. They were super helpful, really nice, and got us in and out with amazing service. They also do free air checks, sell rims, and replace wiper blades. read more

I've been in Reno for a long time. I tried Big O, Reno Vulcanizing and Les Schwab. Didn't have a great experience at those places. Someone recommended this Discount Tire location five year ago and I gave it a try. I'm so glad I did. Always have had good experiences here. I see the same workers there year after year, which I think helps with the quality of service. I've had many tires repaired and and eventually replaced at Discount Tire and only have good things to say. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Reno, Nevada

A couple of weeks ago I was on my way to work driving on the freeway when my truck told me that one of my tires was losing air rapidly. I took the nearest exit to me and pulled over to check my tire. I could visibly see something protruding from my tire and hear the air escaping rapidly. Since I had originally purchased my tires at the Carson City Discount Tire, I looked online to see if I was close to one in Reno. Luckily, I was less than half a mile away from a location at that time. I pulled into the parking lot to a safe location to begin changing the tire myself because it was early in the morning around 6:45am and the location wasn't supposed to open until 8am. To my surprise an employee approached me and asked if everything was ok. I explained and showed him the issue with my tire; but he apologized and said that they didn't open until 8am. I proceeded to attempt to drop my spare tire from under my truck, when not even a minute later the employee had returned and said "go ahead and pull it in to the 1st bay and I'll check it out." It was still only around 7am (an hour before the business opens) and he had my truck in the bay with tire off to be inspected. He acted fast, precise and professionally and had my tire repaired and back on my truck within minutes. The employee's name is Teddy and he certainly saved me a lot of time and hassle of not having to do change my tire and come back again later to have it repaired. He didn't have to help me because the shop wasn't even open yet, but he decided to help me anyway. I will definitely be purchasing my next set of tires from this location and recommend them to everyone that I know. Thank you very much Teddy! read more

I have yet to find a tire shop that provides better serivice, prices, and speediness than Discount Tires in S Reno. Great place. I'm glad that they work with Tire Rack! Picked up a large nail and they are repairing it for free!

Not all discount tires are created equally. As a frequent customer of discount tire, I can confirm many times over that the service and employees at this location is top notch in town. I live in NW Reno and I prefer to drive across town to this location vs the newer bigger location by my house because the employees here treat me better and don't push services/purchases that are unnecessary. Great location read more

DO NOT BUY THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS HERE!! I went in to have my tires rotated like I always do here and they asked if I wanted to replace my windshield wipers, I was in need of new ones anyway so I said sure why not. Not even a full 3 days later and the wiper blades completely fell apart in the middle of a blizzard going over Donner Summit!! Of course I can't just stop using what's left of the blades so I have to continue to use them until I'm out of the storm. Once I'm at my final destination I notice three huge scratch marks all the way across my windshield where the wires were supposed to be.... Needless to say I will never buy from this place again. They much buy the blades from so Chinese knock off shop or something. read more

I would like to thank this location for providing great -speedy service. As a traveler, I always want to feel secure going to the same company but in a different city and this was not the case in Carson City and I would NOT recommend that location. The Carson City location made me wait almost 45 minutes for an air check and then told me to come back at then end of the day if I wanted to get new tires. Several employees including the manager had walked past me several times before telling me how long I would be waiting. Anyway, THANK YOU for treating all customers with respect and working efficiently. Happy holidays! read more

I have to say that I am now a lifetime customer of Discount Tire after my last experience with them. Their customer service is about as good as any I have encountered in any business. They went over all of the choices of tires for my SUV, focusing on what we wanted, which was a quiet ride, but an all-season that could handle going over the mountain to get to Tahoe in the winter safely. We knew they would have to special order the tires, so they gave us a date (four days later) which was right on. Then they called, asked us to bring in the car to get the tire put on. Told us it would take about 4 to 4 1/2 hours. They delivered in 3 1/2. The tires delivered a quiet ride with great traction. Still, the best part was the way my wife and I were treated but the guy at the front desk. Will always make Discount Tire my first choice when replacing any of our cars tires. read more

I've never been here before, but I'm sure that if I had a need that I would be back. I did a walk-in on Saturday morning to have two tires/wheels mounted and balanced. They gave me a price of $44 which to me was pretty good, and that it would be about an hour and a half wait. No problem! You get a link via a text to track how the progress was going, which was super convenient! They were actually 15 minutes early! This particular place was clean, well-managed, and very friendly/professional. I would definitely go back for this type of service again. Great job! read more
