Very fast and efficient service. I needed a smog test for the DMV. I reached out on Yelp and received a response in less than half an hour. He greeted me upon pulling into the spot and was getting stated about a minute later. He was finished in about 3 minutes. My car unfortunately did not pass, but he was able to help identify the issues I needed to get fixed and explained what it might entail. I believe the receipt said something like $22 which is a great value for how quick and easy he made it. Went here for the first time today, as I refuse to go back to a different shop but that's besides the point! I pulled in and was immediately greeted by the technician. He promptly started my smog test and we were having a bit of a conversation. He, which turned out to be the owner Josh, was not only hilarious to chat with but got the car done in liked seemed seconds. Went inside to pay and they really have a great set up inside not just for smog, but car items like windshield wipers and even Notary service. Pricing is on point for the service! The Smog Place has large green signage which helped me think of this place when my annual smog check came up. I called ahead to double check the hours and was pleasantly surprised to learn that The Smog Place is open 7 days a week as well as a little later on weekdays. Perfect! I was able to get my smog done for $25.99 plus I paid $10 to have the registration taken care of as well. Easy, peasy and very friendly! I needed a quick smog as I was pushing my limit to renew my registration on time. I walked in and was immediately greeted by three staff members. Staff promptly walked out with me and began the process. The machine was being a little difficult, but that's no fault of the shop; technology can be finicky. I was in and out in no time and was able to pay my DMV fees for my registration on site. This company does not get enough recognition; everyone was friendly and prompt in their assistance. Completely agree with the other five-star reviews! We went around 1:30 or 2 pm. The owner immediately came out to meet us and performed the test. Total time spent was around 10 minutes. It was so much faster and more efficient than I would have thought possible for a state-mandated test. And they were so nice, too.
