Oversized portions of food at this local comfort eatery in Key Largo. The Doc's Feast is just north of 6 pounds and serves at least 4 hungry people so we hesistently ordered it since we were starving. It was brought to our table on a steel pizza serving tray and felt like a Food Challenge. It was a massive mound of food with sausage links, bacon, french toast, pancakes, cantaloupe, grits, hash browns, bisquits & gravy with 12 scrambled eggs. We could not finish it and we were in a food coma. The bathroom was clean and somewhat modern with a handwritten sign reminding employees to wash their hands before returning to work. We just finished our take-out breakfast from Doc's and after our last visit in 2023, I am pleased to say that our breakfast was just as delicious if not better! We basically had the same breakfast. My ham steak was the best ham steak that I've ever had: tender, tasty, with minimum salt, and perfectly cooked! The hash browns, English muffin, sunny side eggs, and coffee were all very good. Comfort food at its best. Woke up early before checkout at our Holiday Inn across the street to have breakfast at Doc's. I was here with 4 people but instead of each of us getting a separate meal we chose the Doc's Feast that has a little of everything I love for breakfast on one plate to share. Doc's Diner Key Largo 4-30-25 Stooped by for breakfast on Wednesday about 7:15 am. They were not that busy and we got a table right away. Our Waitress brought the coffee fast and we ordered our food right there. The waitress was very nice and so friendly and checked on us many times. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with Sausage Gravy, Hash Browns and 2 eggs over easy. My wife ordered 2 Eggs over easy with Toast. My dad ordered Sausage Gravy over biscuits. Our ordered came out fast and looked very good. All our food as hot and tasty. When we were done, we were full as they piled up our plates with plenty of food. I give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. When I'm in Key Largo I will not hesitate to go back here. Make sure you stop by as when we left it was full of locals. They know where the good food is and now you know. Came here on our way back from attending the Key West Half Marathon. It was the perfect spot to close our adventures for the weekend. The full breakfast offering & the delicious HOT coffee hit the spot! Some customers were a bit inconsiderate about the staff being overwhelmed with the crowd but the staff handled a couple of situations with a lot of grace & smiles! Very commendable. Everything you could ever want in a diner. Was certainly busy when we walked in Sunday morning, but didn't affect our ability to be sat and get prompt service. Huge portions, great prices, huevos rancheros and pancakes hit the mark. Every breakfast combination your heart could desire. Hashbrown casserole was delicious. Classic diner vibes - busy kitchen & waiters, old school stools, booths, photos everywhere. Perfect spot for a quick bite when heading home from the keys. This is a cute mom & pop type diner in Key Largo, FL. We stopped here on a Sunday morning at about 10:30AM and there was a small wait, about 20 minutes. Busy spot but worth it. They offer all the traditional breakfast options and more. Large selection of breakfast food as well as lunch. Since we stopped in for breakfast, I ordered the Doc's breakfast wrap, which had eggs, bacon, cheese, and tomato. Really good. I also had a cup of coffee. My husband ordered the French toast and said his food was great as well. I recommend starting with one of their homemade biscuits. Really good. Service was super friendly, and the food came out really fast which was nice. Pricing is decent so you can get a lot of food for your money. It must try. read more

In business for 35+ years Docs is a real old-fashioned diner. First time we came here there was quite a crowd (out the door on a Sunday morning ) but the team here made quick work of it and we seated within 10 minutes. Second time we came we were able to sit right down. They were managing to go as well as the crowd in the restaurant. Make no bones about it, it's not fancy, but it's clean, has great service, and offers generous portions of good food with the only reasonable priced menu we found in Key Largo. The team hustles nonstop and offers breakfast and lunch options; there are Tuesday Italian lunch specials. The Restaurant is open from 6 AM to 1 PM daily; Check for Holiday hours. There is dedicated parking in the front and the back, but it can be tight. Inside, there is a small dining room and a small lunch counter. Major gem. We loved it instantly and it only got better with time. Showed up at 6am on our way to the airport for breakfast at met a friendly staff who treated us like family. There was no one else inside for our entire breakfast here (it was early AM Easter Sunday and we were headed back to the airport but needed something to eat on the way). My husband selected a breakfast skilled with potatoes and eggs and veggies and he loved it - served with warm toast and was a huge portion. He ate and ate and ate and probably only had about half of it. I chose to go with the Tropical pancakes which was three fluffy, perfect pancakes with toasted coconut, banana and pecan. SO good. Huge portion size and I just couldn't stop eating these babies! The menu is huge, the coffee was hot and fresh, and I saw probably a dozen things I could've tried here and loved. Our waitress was so friendly and kind, she made us feel like locals and regulars and was so easygoing we instantly loved it. After I left and we got ALL the way to the Ft. Lauderdale airport, I realized I had forgotten my purse in the bathroom, I called back and they reassured me that they had it and had kept it safe for me. I spoke to Gina, who is going to mail it back to me and I'll repay her for the shipping. They've been SO kind. First, the food and service and experience was wonderful and I would've given 5 stars anyway - but now - how kind they've been for my mistake - really elevates this place! We finally found Doc's Diner Key Largo (as a replacement for a days gone by fav Little Italy in Layton for the Mahi & Egg Fisherman's Breakfast). Just a short jaunt south of where we were staying at Reefhouse (highly recommend too). Their tag line is "Come hungry " and they live up to it with immense sized portions and truly you leave full!!! Quickly greeted and self-seated by friendly staff. Menu includes so many options that looked and sounded amazing... including some Italian specials on the board. I ordered the aforementioned #4 Fisherman's breakfast mahi (grilled) you could opt for fried or blackened - 2 eggs over easy, sourdough toast (seemed like a half a loaf of thick sliced) & shredded hash browns, house jalapeño sauce and added a lemon & tartar sauce likely homemade at the suggestion of our wonderful server. Doc's Diner is a locals place, but once you do, it'll be "your" place, too. As soon as you walk in the door, you're greeted be 1 or 2 of the staff. They seat you right away. The Ambiance is average and everyone is very friendly. Our server was great! They have many specials and the breakfast menu is also extensive. The prices are very reasonable, too. The pancakes, french toast, and waffles are homemade. The coffee is served in their Doc's Diner mug. Our breakfast was made to perfection. The bacon was crispy.
