I haven't ordered from here in a while, and honestly, I was shocked when my total came out to $56 for one pizza, half a dozen garlic rolls, and a salad. For a local, nothing-fancy spot, that pricing is pretty baffling. If the food had lived up to it, I wouldn't have minded as much--but it didn't. I ordered a red pimento pizza with mozzarella, meatballs, and red peppers, and the portion of meatballs was almost laughable. I'm not exaggerating when I say it looked like they used half a meatball for the entire 16" pizza, shredded so thin it was barely noticeable. For what I paid, I expected a lot more. On top of that, the flavor just wasn't there. It was underwhelming across the board, which made the price even harder to justify. I wouldn't order from here again--it's definitely not worth it. If you're in the area, you're better off trying a wood-fired or more authentic spot where you'll likely spend the same amount but get much better quality. read more

We popped in and grabbed some wine (only pic I took) while we waited for our pizza. The atmosphere was fun, the staff chatted with us a lot while we waited, and the wine was good enough to grab a second round while waiting. Y'all know the name of one of my hardcore favorite Italian restaurants on the mainland. So when "someone" and I drove down to the keys from the northern part of the county, we spotted Upper Crust from the side of the road and decided to stop in. In the final analysis it was close to where we originally planned to go but at least it will tide us over until sunset. They have a bunch of bottles on beer on the wall, and when we drove back at night the place seemed packed with a lot of cars. Maybe our experience would have been better just for drinks or just a quick bite on the road. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza to share, water and iced tea. Typically we get pizza from here... which is great. But recently we have gotten lasagna and chicken parm... we absolutely loved it! The gravy is perfect... rich and delicious! Summing it up, this was a very good night out. We had the 14" Chillax Pizza which was enough for two people with leftovers. The Chillax is like a new and improved Hawaiian pizza. Did a cheese pizza, the caprese salad, and then a half order of garlic knots (they called it something else but I can't remember). While I didn't eat any of the caprese salad I thought it very tomato heavy and lacking fresh mozzarella. They said it tasted good though. I liked the cheese pizza, not everyone did though. This really hurts because I love pizza and dive bars and putting that boat together should be an amazing combination in addition to the bar food. But sadly this is not the case for this place. Recently in November, I took my first trip in a very long time to southern Florida, and my first time in in key Largo, in which I found many awesome places, and seeing that this was a pizzeria right across the street from my hotel almost was definitely a welcome sign and something to be excited about, but this was not the case at all. Being from New York City, I really cannot hold up a lot of establishments and South Florida to our standards and quality and style of pizza. Although there is another restaurant called pizza tower across the street that did an amazing job that blows his place away and came very close to authentic Brooklyn style pizza however, when I walked into this uppercrust establishment, it was a very sad looking bar and it looks like the customer service would have been awful if I had to stay inside and have a few drinks as it was being run by one person. My other observation was a soon as I walked in both of the cocks in the back, just stood there and were staring at me, very weird. But I am going. Of the pizza and this was the thing that really shocked me and this is my paramount complaint is that the pizza was an embarrassing excuse for pizza which was certainly I am 99.9% sure that this was some sort of frozen pizza pulled out of the freezer and just heat it up in the microwave or toaster oven, it was pathetic, looking, sad, tiny and what pushed me over the top was that it was not even cheap for South Florida, which I would expect, this place had actually the nerve of charging well over $4 or $4 plus tax for the slice of pizza. Now back home here in New York City. There are many Places making excellent authentic pizza for about $3 a slice. Why on earth would I be paying more than that over $4 for this embarrassing slice of pizza in Key Largo where it should be cheaper especially for what I am getting. Also, what also tickles me is that they don't know what "regular "means... they always ask me outside of NYC , is it cheese pizza ??? That really annoys me, as if what would it be cold if there is nothing on it, anyway, here are the photos. I urge people to avoid this business and go to the pizza tower across the street, which does it so much better and for less. Perhaps next time I'm in town. I'll give this place another try but definitely avoid the pizza which is sad because uppercrust this place is not and it says pizza in their name. I was initially intrigued by their beer selection and once I looked at that menu, I knew they were going to have me completely enthralled. My family and I stopped in to Upper Crust on a Sunday evening. We were pretty undecided on what to order. Thank heaven for Yelp because 1) I learned about their Eggplant Parm Pizza; and 2) I learned you can order split pies. Woot woot! We chose a large half Pepperoni, half Eggplant Parm pizza with a dozen garlic rolls. The rolls were brought out first. They were crispy and doughy, garlicky and oily, and had this awesome pepper topping. Just when I thought those were the highlight of the meal, they brought forth the pizza. OMG! The Eggplant Parm pizza was amazing. I just could not stop eating it. Upper Crust also does delivery and take out, which is a plus!
