I'd asked the server what Florida lobster dishes they offered and the prices. She said they had two -- lobster bites and a lobster tail. I order the tail with sweet potato fries as my side. When the meal came, I saw that what was delivered was NOT fresh Florida lobster. The manager (?) told me they hadn't pulled the traps yet and didn't have any Florida lobster -- which was strange as it was almost a week into the season and their two ads touted it. Anyhow, he suggested the snapper instead and I chose the coconut yellowtail sandwich from their specials. This was barely edible -- over fried, over cooked, and dried out. I took only a couple bites and coins t even eat the rest. Meanwhile, my husband had ordered the cracked conch appetizer. We've had this all over Florida (he's a native) and in the Carribean. This version was quite different. It had large square pieces of conch in a heavy fried batter. I would not recommend this dish, either.

The teriyaki wings were crunchy and cooked well, but the sauce was not my style. It felt like it was just poured on top rather than worked into the meat. If you have ever had spare rib tips from a New York Chinese spot where they cook the meat right and then just ladle sauce over it at the end, you know what I mean. I prefer the sauce to be part of the experience, not an afterthought. The Caesar wrap was fine. I consider myself something of a Caesar salad critic, and this one was basic. The first bite of the pancake tasted burnt, and we thought, ah well, it happens, maybe a bit too long on the griddle. It quickly became apparent that something was wrong in the dish. There was a flavor that was just WRONG. Almost as if they cooked in melted plastic, or made the dishes on a nonstick that was peeling its nonstick off as it cooked. The disgusting taste was strongest in the eggs florentine, then the pancakes, and then the French toast. There was one fried egg that I had that was largely unaffected, and of course the parfait. I did want to point out that the parfait was billed as Greek yogurt, but it really seemed like regular vanilla yogurt. However, given the other issues, this wasn't a problem. I will say, the service was very pleasant. Our server was brand new, so I felt bad having to tell her about the meal, but she handled it well. She called the manager over, who did comp us the meal, and we left a tip for our server. This is the only reason I'm leaving 2 stars instead of 1. The chef never came out to talk with us though, which I did find strange. Needless to say, we didn't go back. We were too afraid to do so, as we had no idea what was wrong with the food.
