    Conch fritters, smoked fish dip

Super relaxed place for a lunch, make sure you sit outside by the canal for a nice view. Always friendly waiters and service! The smoked fish dip is a must-have appetizer!

    Blackened mahi-mahi

Wow! Everything is as so delicious! We got the wings, sweet potato fries, blackened, mahi-mahi, lobster bisque, calamari, shrimp, scampi, and drinks. The only thing I would not recommend it would be the oyster. They tasted fine. They were just super small Florida oysters and you can get much better in the world!

THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER! I have been here so many times and it never fails to disappoint! Their food is outstanding, the staff is so friendly, the view is incredible - I can't say enough marvelous things about Buzzards Rooster. If you're looking for great seafood in the keys, save yourself some time and go straight to Buzzards Roost!

Loved this place... found on Yelp and didn't disappoint. When you drive up it seems like you're in front of a house ( we weren't sure we found it. It's a a great restaurant with a great view. Indoor and out door seating and a bar. The menu is amazing (see pics). I had the lobster Rueben that many yelpers wrote about. I thought it was good but not sure lived up to the hype ... still, I really liked it. ( $33). The other meal was chicken marsala over angel hair. This was a huge portion that could have easily been shared ( 'uge) Also had the onion loaf with horseradish, this was awesome. For drinks I had a key lime vodka martini... was very good. The service was great , super friendly. We'd def come back and try some other menu items.

This place is amazing. Top 3 spots to eat in key largo. Don't miss it. I recommend everything in the pictures I posted. Do not sleep on buzzards roost. I highly recommend!

Cute restaurant with nice vibes and outdoor seating right off a canal that was idyllic on the December evening I visited after Art Basel on my way to Key West. They had a dry erase board with specials and funky little drawings near the front door. Stuff like that warms my heart as I've spent many an hour producing work like that at restaurants. I had the conch. I had to look up on my phone what conch even was! I'd come across references to Key West as the Conch Republic maybe 2 or 3 times but never bothered to find out what conch actually is. I was on vacation and feeling adventurous and figured if I was going to the Conch Republic I should actually try conch. Well, I don't think I like sea snails very much. Of course I have no idea what good conch is and what bad conch is and it's no fault of this restaurant I wasn't a big fan of something I blindly rolled the dice on. Like one time I went to a restaurant and ordered liver and onions just cause I'd never had it my whole life. Not Palmer's Inn's fault I didn't like liver and onions. And I at least would prefer conch over that. I did eat all my conch as I was hungry and I hate wasting food. I didn't complain to the waitress either. She was nice and gave me good service so I wasn't going to give her a hard time about some cuisine I knew nothing about. I've still never had escargot and this makes me think I won't sing the praises of that either. I forget what sides I ordered as it's nine months later and I'm just getting caught up on some old reviews. My vegetables did hit the spot, though, and I drank a water and cranberry juice and even considered dessert but didn't bite before hitting the road to bed down in Islamorada. Probably should be an incomplete grade here but sometimes I just review places as a trip down memory lane to help keep their memories alive for future days. Who knows if I'll ever make it back to Key Largo so I'm leaving this here for posterity.

    Amazing!!!

Shout out to our amazing waitress Chevy she was awesome and friendly! Thank you staff for another amazing meal. Don't get a menu and just order their amazing lobster Reuben while you sit outside at the marina and melt your stress away! The key lime pie is to die for! Thank you again for another amazing meal! Every year we come on our way to our vacation home and then back from airport. Don't miss this hidden gem!!! Staff is awesome and always have a smile on their face! Thank you again!

Really good food, we sat outside by the water soon as we arrived. Loved the food and the vibe was great. The beers were awesome, and I ordered the coconut battered mahi sandwich that's was absolutely delicious. Would come back again and order it

But it is worth the detour. We sat at the bar, inside, with a view of the kitchen and cook, but I'd recommend sitting outside if it's not too hot and weather permits. That's a much better view. We started with their fried asparagus appetizer. The stalks were quite thin, and the portion small, but what we had was delicious. Especially tasty when dipped in the horseradish sauce. I'd get this again! After that we shared their fish dish. Two scoops on a plate with chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, and chopped green pepper. The cutest heart shaped crackers came with the dip. We had leftover dip so we took it home with us (in our cooler). We enjoyed it on toast later on. So the very good? The food. The not so good? The kitchen looked grungy and the ladies room was a mess. Would we come here again? Yes, but we'd sit outside.

Gravel parking lot is shared by other marine businesses but easily accessible. We decided to eat inside at the bar. A friendly greeting and menus delivered. I chose a draft beer to go with whatever we decided to share. We had an order of their fried Asparagus which had a sweet horse radish dipping sauce and was great. Next up was the in house smoked fish dip, two large generous scoops, crackers, diced green bell peppers. Tomatoes and onions. A tasty combination. Rustic atmosphere and smiling bartender makes you feel at home. If you sit at the bar, just try not to look into the kitchen.

One thing you'll notice pretty quickly in the Keys is that many restaurants close fairly early, and this one closes at 10 p.m., so we always make sure to get there in time. I've eaten at both the bar and at a table. This year, since my nephew was with us, we grabbed a table and enjoyed another great meal. My absolute favorite dish here is the fish topped with a generous portion of crab. It is absolutely incredible! Funny enough, years ago I actually ordered the pistachio-crusted fish, but the kitchen accidentally brought me the fish with crab instead. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed by that mistake! On this trip, I finally tried the pistachio-crusted fish, and it was delicious too. My nephew couldn't stop talking about the seafood linguine. It was loaded with seafood, and he absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is one of the best parts of dining here. The waterfront views are beautiful, and you can choose to sit under the tiki hut or kick off your shoes and enjoy the sand beneath your feet. It's such a relaxing place to unwind after a day in the Keys. We've also had the coconut shrimp, which comes with an amazing dipping sauce that I'd definitely recommend. For drinks, I tried their espresso martini for the first time. They add cocoa to it, which I've never seen before. It definitely caught me by surprise, but in a good way. I always enjoy when a bartender puts a creative spin on a classic cocktail instead of making the same version everyone else serves. Between the beautiful setting, delicious food, and laid-back atmosphere, this is a place we look forward to visiting every year.
