Pretty nice place for a quick bite while coming back from the keys. Quick service, and well decorated place, even tho it's off highway it's quiet and reserved. Got some good shrimp tacos and a nice key lime pie. They do have a vast options in food and drinks. Prices are reasonable, will definitely come back read more

Came here for brunch and it was very packed so maybe that had something to do with it but I thought it was okay. I got the Moms breakfast and the eggs were so greasy , had pockets of grease while eating, the hash-browns were good and crispy , the toast was yummy and the bacon was super crispy which is exactly how I like it, I also got chocolate chip pancakes which were just OK I think I could make better ones at home. We ventured out from our resort for an affordable breakfast option, and we were glad we found Keys Bite. I had a Keysbite Scramble which included hash browns with ham, bacon and sausage over that and a couple scrambled eggs with cheese on top. Very filling and well worth the $13.99. Keys Bite was pretty much exactly what you want in a good breakfast spot. The service was friendly and was very accommodating to requests on the menu. I asked for replacements to side dishes and it was no issue. The omelette was huge and delicious. The chorizo was great and they were very generous with all the toppings. We always stop somewhere new on our way out of the Keys. We are so glad we found Keys Bite. They have nice variety on their menu, with huge emphasis on Mexican. I did opt for a hamburger with onion rings. The burger was delicious and very juicy. The onion rings were good, but would be better with a nice dipping sauce. Wade ordered the steak enchiladas. 3 nicely filled tortillas With green sauce. Beans and rice also came with the meal. We ordered chips and pico; the pico was phenomenal. Fresh, with crispy home made chips. The service was good. They have a nice outside patio area. Hope to get back here soon. read more

Angel was our sever for our group of 11 at breakfast and he did a great job. The food was delicious, we had the skillets, huevos rancheros, French toast, omelettes, pancakes and waffles. This place is a must visit. The food was out of this world. Everything we selected was great; steak tips, taco salad, shrimp and scallops and yes that liver and onions brought back memories. Craving some seafood this warm & humid night, so we stopped by Keys Bite since it was nearby and affordable. Service was really friendly throughout - we were seated promptly and put in our orders in no time. I got the Seafood Combo & New England Clam Chowder (their soup of the day). Chowder? OUT OF THIS WORLD. Creamy, plentiful bits of clam, I was audibly going MMMM with each bite. This is the kinda opener I'm talking about. Seafood platter? Eh, less impactful. The shrimp and oysters were rather flavorless - luckily they have salt & pepper on the table. The mahi though was light and delicious, and the sides were a great complement. Decent for the price point. A nice stop by - would recommend as a seafood option that leans on the more affordable side. And the people running this little spot are great! Keys Bite was a little dark inside with the atmosphere of a diner. The Mexican food was quite tasty although I had large chunks of slightly undercooked carrots in my veggie burrito, which was a little odd. My nephew's fried chicken came out frozen in the middle. The server was apologetic and brought out another one. We were overcharged for one entree we didn't order, so make sure you look at your check carefully. The server quickly apologized for this as well and came back with a corrected check. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but I don't regret trying it. read more

On April 10th, me and my friend headed down on a Key West trip and I was tasked with finding a decent place for a mid morning breakfast.  One notable item of this place caught his attention, the Chilaquiles! So arrive we did but was shocked how popular this place is! parking lot was conpletely full with patrons spilling over parking cars in Ms. Macs (which was not open at the time).  Luckily the wait wasn't too terrible, they said 20 minutes but felt less.  Fantastic!  We got seated inside as the outdoors were packed.  Service: All persons I interacted with were pleasant! Food: I wanted something easy and light so opted for Mom's scrambled which was two eggs scrambled with diced ham, rye toast, and fruit.  It was a decent breakfast and we didnt really wait too long.  My friend ordered Chaquiles - Tortilla chips sautéed in their homemade traditional Mexican sauce, served with refried beans and two eggs.  He also got a side of steak as well.  I did taste a bite of the chilaquiles out of curiosity and boy it had a strong flavor that I would only be able to eat a few bites had I ordered it.  Also a bit salty for my personal preference. We ate, paid and were on the way!  It is a good reliable place for a pit stop food refuel for the long haul ahead of us down to Key West!  I could myself dining here again. read more

Wow! I wish I stopped for breakfast on past trips to Key Largo before finally trying this morning! The food is fresh and alot of options have a Mexican twist. The prices are reasonable as well. Easy to find between Pinecrest Bakery and the center median Mrs. MACS. I like to travel with my dog so sitting under their tiki was best for our party. They have alot of inside seating as well. The waitstaff was just as accommodating outside as inside, which I appreciated. They even brought a water dish for my dog. My friend ordered the 2 egg breakfast with sausage, home fries and a bagel. She enjoyed making her own bagel sandwich and the crispy home fries. I had the two egg breakfast with churrasco, crispy home fries and toast. The churrasco was served w a side of homemade chimichurri. It was delicious and authentically Mexican style. They even had a variety of hot sauces to chose from. If you find yourself lucky enough to stay at the Bakers Cay Resort or La Playa, you are less than 5 minutes away. Come here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The lunch and dinner options are Mexican influenced but they have American options as well. Overall the food is great and the service is fantastic. I will be back for sure. read more

For 2 cups of coffee for one person and 1 OJ (w/a refill), and an apple juice (no refill) it was $14.50. That was a 1/3 of our bill for 4 people to eat. 2 kids breakfast meals and 1 chilaquiles. That's wild so be careful when you're ordering drinks as it does not say you have to pay for refills. read more

Milk- warm, almost sour, 3/4 of glass. Ate very little of anything. Service- Told server why I didn't eat. No reduction on bill. No Mgr. That came by and talked to me. Ambiance- Sat outside, it was a beautiful day, with nice new friends. Great place to play dominoes, but DO NOT EAT! Paid my bill and 2 others bills, tipped the server so to not make a scene in this dive. Overall- Never again. Yes, Keys Bites should be called Keys Sucks. Chilaquiles were delicious and I loved their red sauce plus the poached eggs were perfectly done. Island burrito was stuffed with seafood and onions and sauce. Seafood was all cooked great. I wouldn't say they were the worst Eggs Benedict I've ever eaten, but they're certainly close to the bottom of the list.  The Hollandaise sauce was WAY too thick, and they were so salty they could have have pinch-hit for the Dead Sea... To be fair, the service was AOK and the prices weren't out-of-line - that is, if the food wasn't as poor as it is.  Were it not for the fact that we never had to ask for coffee or water refills, I've have rated this place no higher than two stars. read more

This review is only because of the experience on the charge. I have been going to Keys Bite for many years and I 100% of the time always do the same thing. I take my own catch for them to cook. Today, I took the same amount of fish I always take and when my bill came, they charged me two dollars extra for having it cooked francaise style which they had never done before and they charged me six dollars extra custom charge because they said it was too much fish. Besides that it wasn't too much fish and I was by myself and ate it all by myself, they certainly should not add a six dollar charge without telling the customer that it was too much fish. Had that been the case, I wouldn't have had them cook the alleged extra fish. In short, I took my own catch and spent $30 for them to cook my fish with french fries. Unfortunately, I will not be going back since I am a local and there is plenty of places in the keys that cook your catch. read more
