Perfect date night location. View is very pretty and the wait staff very attentive. Food is really good. They did not offer bread service but the portions are a really good size. Not sure about the drinks. I've never had an espresso martini taste like chocolate milk. Stick with wine

This is a hotel restaurant at Amara Cay Resort. This dog friendly property looks beautiful. The hotel restaurant is ReelCatch. The decor was very nice. This Friday night, they had a one man band playing. The restaurant is open and in the lobby. I'd call it beach elegant. I tried an app and dessert: Chicken BItes and 12 Layer Chocolate Cake. Both were a solid 4*. The chicken was tender. They had several sauces, I tried the Thai and Buffalo. They also had a honey BBQ and maybe 1-2 others. They were nice enough to split the order and did so in separate bowls. Very good! The cake was rich and moist. I enjoyed the fresh strawberry topping along with whipped cream. So good. Really fun experience, especially with the live music. Give them a try.

Chef Rico will give you the Cook Your Catch experience of your life. Amazingly talented, he took our fish and turned it into a 5-star meal!! Far beyond expectations, seriously just absolutely incredible and a lovely experience. If you're fishing in Islamorada, do yourself a favor and bring your catch to Chef Rico at ReelCatch.

Marcus is one of the best bartenders I've run into. Excellent service. Friendly. Worth the stop just to have a drink and a smile.

This restaurant is inside the Amara cay hotel and the service was decent. Food tasted good. The menu was limited.

Great beers on tap and those prices are just perfect. I like a fancy meal once in a while but it's just too much when your down in the Keys. We're looking for a simple place that is reasonable and great. This is it. Service is terrific, menu is unique.

The place is small and we sat at the bar. It's a cool, dive bar vibe with memorabilia on the wall. There were only a handful of others there, but the service was slow, especially considering it wasn't very crowded. It seems like the waitress was distracted and forgot about us. Eventually, we were taken care of. We all got one of their sodas and thought h they tasted good. We tried to order their award-winning fish dip, listed on the specials board, but the waitress said they were out of chips. Ok, fine -- we said "forget it" and moved onto the main course. We all ordered some variation of the Fancy Nancy, their namesake burger. It was a good burger but not the best in Florida. Not even close. The fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. Others in our party ordered the "award-winning" potato salad, which tasted pretty good. As an aside, I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked as desired. Everyone else ordered their burger medium and two were very pink, more like medium rare or rare. It seems like most of their awards and accolades were earned pre-COVID. We wanted to like this local spot but I have to imagine it's not what it once was.

My husband and I went for breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday of our trip. Both days the place was full and very busy, but we never waited more than five minutes because we sat at the counter, which was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and inviting and the service was excellent. They gave us time to peruse the menu and answered our questions. The first day I got the pancake combo with key lime pancakes. The pancakes were perfect, fluffy with crispy edges, but I would've liked a little bit more key lime sauce on top (I should have asked.) The whipped cream with the key lime sauce was a perfect combination. They brought out maple syrup, but I didn't use it. The second day my husband and I shared the French toast sampler and an omelette. The omelette was fluffy and well-filled with toppings. The French toast sampler allowed us to try a bunch of different flavors. We had the regular, cinnamon roll, blueberry, and apple cinnamon. We enjoyed all of them. The only "issue" we had was that my husband ordered the corn beef hash on the first day and did not end up eating it because he thought it was made in-house, but it was not and he really wanted it fresh. It's not necessarily a complaint. It's just something to note. Oh and I almost forgot that both days my husband got one of their fresh made cinnamon rolls from the case upfront. The first day it was an appetizer for him and the second day he took it home so we could enjoy it later. The atmosphere of the place is laid-back, keys vibe with lots of fishing and ocean related decor. They have a huge gift shop with a lot of art that you can walk through while you're waiting for your table. I would definitely go again if I'm back in the Florida Keys.

The fried fisherman's platter was okay but lacked flavor on many items (just tasted like fried batter) and there wasn't many shrimp (maybe four); it was mostly small clam and calamari pieces. The fried fish was pretty good. For us, this restaurant was all about the views and outdoor Keys vibe, but the food while not bad, could've been better. I've seen many people say Lazy Days has really good food, so I'll give them a pass and assume we just didn't get their best when we stopped last week for lunch.

The Spicy Margarita says it's made with jalapeño tequila, but the flavor was like they added muddled jalapeño peppers. Not super spicy just *really* strong jalapeño flavor; it was gross. The Lazy Smash had so much Key lime juice that the whole drink was just bitter. We didn't finish either drink. For entrees, we had the Steak Teriyaki and the special Lobster Lorenzo. Teriyaki sauce had some kind of Indian spice added - curry powder? turmeric? - whatever it was it tasted like a teriyaki/marsala. It was odd. The Lobster Lorenzo is a split lobster tail that is breaded and fried, topped with a giant crab cake and sauce. The crab cake and sauce were amazing, the lobster was tough and chewy. I can't really comment on the server, since we had three different guys between the drink orders, the food order, food delivery, and the check. Scenery is nice and the restaurant itself is well decorated and inviting next to the water. But the food and drinks are definitely not worth the price. There are lots of other great choices in the Keys.
