There's a sign in front saying "Please wait to be seated" when you first enter. Servers did not seat us and we ended up just walking right in and seating ourselves. Most of the seats were empty which I found strange despite the place being surrounded by a nice view with ocean scenery. The first waitress was friendly and had a positive attitude taking our order. However, the wait for the food was 20-30 minutes. By the time a different person, a waiter arrived to deliver our food. He was very rude and shoved the dishes at us and didn't notice when some of my fries slid off the plate and onto the floor. When we tried to correct him for delivering a dish that wasn't ours he continued to repeatedly Insist it was ours by showing us the receipt. What happened earlier was that the waitress wrote down the wrong order. Could have at least apologized for the miss communication. To make matters worse, two different families just walked out. The second family, the guy started cursing out about the issue of not being seated and miss communication with the employees present. Service is disorganized, and disrespectful. The food was not good. Portions are small and bland, the Conch Chowder was just diluted tomato soup Missing that mix of herby flavor and conch meat. The only thing good was the Frozen Key Lime Pie. But even that slice was much smaller than previous pictures I have seen of the pie.
Stopped here for lunch on our drive down to Key West. Had a couple beers and some Mahi tacos. The tacos were tasty but i would've liked the flour tortillas a little warmed up or toasted (minor complaint). Service was a little lackadaisical but not to the point I would consider it a deterrent. An example is I was poised to order another beer but couldn't get my servers attention and ended up just asking for the check. Ambiance is typical for the keys and a check in the right direction.
Great spot for sunset views, but the food is pretty mediocre. On weekends, expect live music and potentially a wait. Overall, it's an okay spot, but nothing too special in my opinion.
The blackened Reuben fish sandwich was not the best one I've ever had probably due to the sogginess of the bun. The restaurant gives marina vibes as you sit around water. I showed up in between the transition from breakfast to lunch and was told by a bartender that I would have to wait 30 minutes to order food. Needless to say, our food came out before the actual lunch hour started and it did not have to wait 30 minutes to wait. I think staff should all be on the same page as it would be sad for the establishment to lose customers over a 30-minute menu change.
Virgin cocktails were delicious, especially the Miami Vice. The key lime pie was better than the frozen version, and the chocolate cake was devoured. However, the fish tacos were just okay. They were very soggy and lacked flavor. We were really looking forward to this restaurant, but we left disappointed. The wings and burger were also average. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and was a great spot for watching the sunset. Michael Trixx performed magic that evening, and there was live music. The outdoor tables were nice, and the servers were very attentive despite the crowded restaurant on a Wednesday night.
We were driving from Hollywood Beach to Key West and I noticed Lorelei's on Yelp. We just wanted a light lunch and my husband was wanting oysters So we stopped. I ordered the shrimp tacos and he had 1/2 dz oysters. I asked for a little extra lime-mayo.... I meant on the side. But the kitchen just put it on the tacos. Which was okay but messy to eat. This place is all about the views! Great water views from outside and the bar. They also feature live music. I ordered the fish sandwich- blackened grouper with a baked potato. It was very flavorful and yummy. They have a full bar- beer & liquor. The margarita was awesome! Our service was very slow; that's my only complaint. Fun vibe, broad menu, water views!
A great place for a sunset and a beer. At this time of year, it's seats yourself just so you know to go straight to a table.

We brought our fish we caught so they could , fry, blackened and grilled. They served with fry's and coleslaw. We didn't care much for the coleslaw. Drinks were delicious.
What a fun place to go to!! Great ambiance, beautiful sunsets, great food, great service, great outdoor seating, live music, and waterfront dining! What more could you ask for? Oh yea, and their prices aren't sky high! My new favorite resturaunt to go to in the Keys. Our server was Shaggy, who took good care of us all evening! He has worked there for 20+ years, knows his stuff, and has a good sense of humor. I ordered the Filet Mignon Sliders with fries. Yummy! The best sliders I have ever had. Perfectly made to my expectations. My daughter ordered the Double Shrimp Quesadillas and loved them. The food was hot and brought to our table immediately. Really good service. I had a Classic Margarita and she had a Casamigos Margarita. Both were made perfectly. We had a great time here! Thank you, Shaggy, for your attentiveness! The Lorelei has a huge parking lot with wheelchair accessability. They are also dog friendly (leashes on). They do not accept reservations so be ready to wait for up to 40 minutes depending on the time of day or evening. There are some seats available to sit and wait but not many. We waited about 25 minutes. You are given one of those buzzing timers that let you know you are being called. The wait was worth it! Almost every seat has a view of the sunset.
Fun waterfront restaurant to break your trip on way to Key West. Primarily seafood casual fare. We had delicious lobster sliders and shrimp poorboy sandwiches and was very happy with amount of seafood and size of shrimp. Shared the 2 kinds of key line pie and was torn between the traditional and the mouse both were delicious. Service was fantastic with them refilling are glasses without asking . View was great, food was great. I was honestly very impressed with the smash burger. Service was horrible. Ordered at 7pm at the bar and our bartender didn't come back to us after that. I asked politely if I need to close with him and straight up ignored us. Looked like he was heading out for the night at 7:40pm. Had to catch someone else walked to figure out how to pay and close and he was also closing. I asked when they close and he said 8:30 ish..... 10pm listed. All around rude read more
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Such an awesome place for fresh oysters, cold IPA's, live music, and scenic ocean views. The service was fast and friendly. Great staff! We came here especially for their fresh oysters as we were trying different spots along the way. I'm a huge fan of oysters and boy, they did not disappoint. We also had the blackened snapper sandwich and grilled Mahi sandwich. Very fresh and tasty! Great place to stop by whether you're heading down to the most southern point or if you're headed back to Miami. I highly recommend Lorelei! read more
I need to be completely honest here - the food at Lorelei is not great, but the atmosphere is really nice! They usually have live music, the water view is beautiful and the sunsets are A VIBE here. highly recommend it for drinks and watching the sunset! Just don't expect too much from the food. read more

This place is all about the views! Great water views from outside and the bar. They also feature live music. I ordered the fish sandwich- blackened grouper with a baked potato. Who knew that this places serves up some of the best burgers in the keys. On top of the best stone crab chowder. And the best fish sandwiches . Our server gave service with a smile. Ambiance is the best place for sunset dinner in islamorada . We will return!!!! read more
We came Monday afternoon for lunch. It was raining and freezing so we had to sit close to the bar area. It was pack! The restaurant has beautiful views! We ordered the stone crab chowder, blackened mahi mahi tacos with two sides of French fries. All the food was delicious. The chowder and the mahi mahi tasted so fresh and the French fries were outstanding. Service was good too, specially of how crowded the place was. Overall a great experience and definitely coming back! read more

Suppose I should have just looked at the reviews and gone elsewhere cause this was objectively bad. But it was recommended by a friend, so we gave it a go. As you can see from my other reviews, two star reviews are few and far between so I'm no hater but do want to share my opinions when you feel less than pleased with spending almost $70 on something awful. I will also say, I'm not from a coastal place so maybe this just how it is but: While nice, the servers all looked as if they had just rolled out of bed with mesy hair, sandals, yoga pants and hoodies. I dont expect white gloves but this is still a place of work and people should look presentable. They allow smoking on the dock/covered dining area and for me this is just a non negotiable. It's not 1980 and people should be allowed to enjoy their food sans smoke. However, the smoke wasn't the only problem with being able to enjoy our food as the food itself was bad. We ordered the lobster sliders and shrimp po boy. The shrimp po boy was sooo heavily buttered it had zero flavor otherwise and a butter-soaked bun. My sliders had a "jam" that was a crystallized paste with grit and stick. Not kidding, felt like eating sweet sand spread onto a poorly prepared slider with little toppings. Not only were the textures and flavors bad, we spent almost 70 dollars on one diet coke, water and two terrible entrees. Genuinely terrible experience and wouldn't recommend you stop here for food. The drinks may be okay if you're okay with plastic solo cups and pre made sugary mixes. (Didn't have one, just didn't order one cause they looked bad). read more

To me, there's nothing better than food with a view. Loreleis doesn't disappoint in this area. We sat right up on the bay to watch the sunset, which, if you haven't experienced one in FL- DO IT IMMEDIATELY!!! I love the live music too, just sets the vibe for relaxing and enjoying the night. We had Will tonight and he was great. Attentive without being overbearing. That's my favorite type of service. HOWEVER- the food was just okay. The tuna was very pale. I asked if there were sesame seeds on the tuna nachos (I have diverticulosis) and because I didn't specify making sure there were NO seeds, the tuna nachos came out with seaweed salad that obviously had seeds everywhere. I scraped off the seaweed salad but honestly, only had one nacho bc the work wasn't worth it. The fish dip was just, meh. Light smoke, a little bland unless there was a caper and jalapeño on every bite, but there were more than enough crackers which I appreciated. We brought our mahi mahi and that was done well. Blackened with sweet potatoes fries. That was the best part of dinner- the fries. I also got a margarita which again, just okay. We've come here before and I thought the experience then was lacking food wise bc I had just gotten off a boat where I was seasick for 3 hours. We gave it another go and as much as I want to love this place, I don't think we'll ever come back. read more
Very disappointed as I had high hopes for Loreleis! We seated ourself and were very pleased with the live music and view. Service was slow, but it was a busy night so we expected it. We both ordered the fish tacos, but were quite disappointed with the flavor. My boyfriend got the fried snapper tacos and I got the grilled grouper tacos. He liked his more than mine, but the flavor was definitely lacking in my opinion. We both ordered the key lime coladas which I had seen a lot great reviews about. It was delicious, but we were shocked when we got our bill and the drinks were said to be $15 instead of the $12 that the menu said. After we brought it up the waitress Nicole, she explained that there was a "floater" added to our drinks. We nicely explained that we ordered the drinks as they were and didn't ask for extra shots to be added to them. She joked around that it was only an extra few dollars. More than anything to us it was the principle of the matter. I'm not sure if it was management that was giving our waitress a hard time or what, but our bill was never changed. She brought it back to us and said, "I really hope this is ok, sorry about that". Since it was packed and we were just trying to get out of there at that point we just paid the bill as it was. Customers should never be overcharged like that, especially when they didn't order it that way. We likely won't be back because of this. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't busy and our party was seated right away. The service was on point and our server was very nice. To drink I ordered their famous frozen Key Lime Colada with the extra shot on top. Absolutely delicious. I would have ordered another one but I decided against it since it was filling and nice and sugary I'm sure! To eat I decided on the appetizer Sante Fe Egg rolls and a side of fries. Surprisingly the egg rolls were really good. I enjoyed them and got full quickly. The fries were good and nice and hot. Overall, I expected a very average keys restaurant experience but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. Will come back here soon! Also, after we ate we walked around the dock area and got to watch people fall in the water trying to get into their boats. So that was fun. read more
Went here for sunset and dinner! We happened to catch happy hour too, which was a nice surprise--$3 craft beers and amazing food (tuna nachos, stone crab chowder, wedge salad, and blackened fish sandwich). The view was fantastic, and we had such a great time with the live band. Shoutout to Tyler R., our waiter, who made the experience even better. He was so attentive, incredibly sweet, and running around like crazy helping everyone. We truly appreciated his kindness! Overall, such a fun and memorable experience on the water! read more

The food and drinks are absolutely outstanding!! They give massive portions and everything comes out fast. I had the coconut shrimp and they were so juicy, crispy, and light yet filling. They were also huge. They also have an island sauce they make in-house. Highly recommend asking for this to dip the shrimp in. It was delicious. They also have a frozen key lime key lime kolada cocktail. Normally I don't do overly sweet drinks, but I cannot even explain how incredible this was. I've never had anything like it. They also add a delightful gram cracker crust to the rim. They have a bartender during the day that's been there for 10 years and she is one of the most talented bartenders and servers I've ever seen. She handled all the well drinks for servers and the entire bar top by herself with grace and speed. We even had an entire conversation with her. Guests loved her! The only thing that's not so pleasant is the cleanliness of the structure and seating in the bar area. Being by an ocean it's natural to have algae and cobwebs. It needs a good power wash or deep cleaning. But this didn't affect the cleanliness of the food, drinks, tables, etc. read more

Enjoyed a wonderful sunset dinner and cocktails. Our server Sony was excellent! I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with homemade chips, my husband had a fish sandwich. Both were very good. Seating is inside, on the deck or on the sans. Sitting on the deck, listening to the band and watching the sunset was an amazing experience. read more

Is your restaurant a dock and dine? Do you have docking for boats? If so, Is there a fee to dock the boat if eating at the restaurant? Do I need reservations for the boat and restaurant?
There is a spot for small boats and dinghies. No charge. Tie up bow in (like a dinghy) NOT across hull to. That is the customary way it is done there. Others will be upset…
Do you take reservations for outdoor seats? If not, what time do you suggest we arrive to dine and see the sunset?
They don't. Get there 1.5 hrs early
Is the outside patio dog friendly?
Well behaved dogs on a short leash are welcomed anywhere on the property. Dogs cannot sit on a chair, barstool, or owners laps, due to health department code.
What time is happy hour? And what time does the live music start?
Happy hour starts at 1630.
I'm looking to do a welcome party for my wedding. It's in March. Probably about 50 people. Do they accommodate that?

This place looks great! There are a lot of comments about getting there early to get a table for food and to catch the sunset. What time does is it start to get crowded? I'm wondering if 4:30 is too late?
Agreed depends on when the sunsets and how much you want to see. I would error on the earlier side maybe 1-1.5 hrs ahead to make sure you settle in. Less seating on the deck than the sand so if you want the deck be a little earlier.
