Found this restaurant by accident! And it was one of the best restaurant stops in the Keys. Portions are very generous, the food is very tasty and the staff - phenomenal. Nice looking restaurant out front. We sat out on the deck overlooking the water... beautiful view. Ariel was a waitress (shes a newbie) Started with the conch fritter2.. ehhh.. i didnt like them.. very hard on the outside (kinda over cooked maybe) and the inside was very dough-y, chewy.. The special of the day was a stuffed whole fried fish with stir fry steak and steak ($64... ) I love to order a platter of mixed fried seafood when I go to these places, and they didnt have that. It was either fried shrimp or fried fish alone as options.. i ended up ordering the Fried calamari as my meal. (I really wasnt in the mood for anything else and i tend to always order the fish tacos everywhere i go, so Alex told me to try something else). It was nothing special. The portion was on the smaller side. No tentacles. And I asked for the same sauce that came with the fritters cuz i dont like marinara. The hubby ordered Miso marinated Tuna steak.. he said it was good but it really wasn't what the menu said. The sauce was not an aoili.. it was a teriyaki sauce and there was no crispy onion flakes. He said if he knew the sauce was going to be like that he would have asked for something different. The best part of the whole meal was the homemade Key lime pie.. we both enjoyed it. It was our first key lime pie in the area so we didnt have anything to compare it to.. We will probably pass on this place the next time we come down. But thats all part of our adventures! read more

Wow! What an incredible experience! The food is so spectacular we went for lunch and came back for dinner later! Ask for Mr Nike "The Legend" - he will give you the most incredible experience. This guy truly LOVES his job and goes above and beyond for each guest. He is full of personality and has been serving the Keys locally for decades. We asked for some delicious key lime sauce that is a signature, and he came back with a plate and a fish painted in the sauce. Pic attached The peel and eat shrimp were also delicious - SO FRESH! and the Key Lime pie was TO DIE FOR! We plan on going back each day of our vacation to try more on the menu. I actually came here a few times while staying right next door. Offering lots of indoor seating also an outside patio to eat and a separated outdoor bar to the right of the main entrance. Service was pleasant each time. Food was good. Yummy drinks. read more

We came here after leaving Isla Morada. We were starving and some of our friends suggested it. Once again they are pet friendly and that's the main reason we decided to eat there. My husband got a pound of shrimp which he devoured. And I got the shrimp linguine. Which I'm a sucker for. Everything was delicious. The views were amazing and max really liked seeing the fake shark they have on the bottom . Everyone was really nice especially to max. They brought him a bowl of water which he said was top tier. You just can't get any more than this for a 'local place'. We sat in the long outdoor bar facing the water. The scene was awesome, picturesque! We weren't wearing bright day glow clothes with fanny packs, and Walt Disney sunglasses, but definitely felt like we were outsiders. Everybody was super nice to us, but it's just that feeling you have by looking around and seeing how other people are interacting. It was really just a perfect place on the water with cold beer. We were there for their AWESOME happy hour offerings, the HH menu on their website is not accurate. The million dollar view of the islamorada sand bar was outstanding with a cold Aperol spritz in my hand. The fish dip was excellent and the cucumber and onions were crisp and the chips did not fall apart when scooping up the fish. The waitress was kind and helpful. We made a pit stop leaving Key West and we are so glad we did, this place was amazing. We waited about 15 minutes but it was fine because we sat in the outside area and waited for our table. The food was great and fresh, we had the octopus and it was the best octopus we have ever had. We also ordered a platter with shrimp, fish and calamari and it was very well seasoned and fried. As someone who learned to make Key lime pie at the Hyatt Key West in the mid-1990s, I have a particular fondness for the classic custard-and-meringue style. We loved the experience here. Service from Pablo was perfect. Our table was right up against the railing and we had a perfect view. The outdoor dining tables were nicely spaced apart. This is a great pit stop on the drive up or down to the Keys. Below the restaurant is a dock that boats are chartered out of. The views from the second floor, where it is situated, are spectacular. My friends and I sat outside. The food we ordered was all well prepared. The service was great. The pigeons that kept coming to try to pilfer a meal were not. We were so hungry from driving our way back from Key West to Miami and there was so much traffic, we decided to stop by this place to catch a bite to eat to give traffic some time to get better. Walking in, the place was big. It had both indoor and outdoor seating. I like the decorations. Had that dive bar type feel with all the dollar bills stapled to the walls and ceilings. The servers were great. They did check up on us often and made sure our drinks were refilled. The food looked good, but it was either too salty or wasn't warm enough. Both my wife and I ordered both chowders to try them out. My wife's chowder was too salty and my chowder was more on the warm to lukewarm side. The ceviche was good. Had good flavors and leaned on the sweater side since it had pineapples. The key lime pie was a little too sweet for my taste, but was a little shocked it got delivered with our dinner and not after. The kids meals are a good deal. I was shocked with how big the portions are for them. Other than that, it was ok. Would I come back, probably not. I do like the area it's in. The family liked looking into the pier where the ships were docked and looking at the big fish that were swimming. Too bad you can fish there. read more

My husband enjoyed his margarita and the party we were with said their old fashions hit the spot! The shrimp and crab chowder was hearty and delicious. I enjoyed the Caesar salad. I had boiled shrimp! I was so pleased when I saw it was deveined! Most restaurants won't do that! Bonus, it wasn't dried out! The cocktail sauce needed more horseradish for heat. We've been stopping here for over 5 years, we sit up top with a beautiful view and a very attentive young lady that runs the bar, drink's and view are the best, last month we stopped and had the wahoo bites, tasted great but we both got sick to our butts 2 hours later, we thought we had a Little bug, today on the way back from Key West, we stopped in as usual, we again ordered the wahoo bites and a couple bears, no sooner do we get home we both (not together) blow up the toilet, I know they had a change of management within the last year, I'm thinking maybe the kitchen isn't running as smoothly as it should be and sauces are left out too long, it's a shame, will continue to stop in at wahoo's to see the young lady up top in the open bar for the view and drinks, but we'll have to find another place to get a bite to eat! Beautiful spot and great food! Me and my boyfriend both ordered the Wahoo BLTs which were delicious and very filling (I could only finish half of mine). The fish was perfectly cooked and very fresh. There was the perfect amount of bacon lettuce tomato and sauce as well. It's right on the water and has a great view. There's also indoor seating with AC. Our waiter Mr. Nike was the absolute best! To be honest, we did not have dinner here. Just beers and appetizers looking out over the water. We absolutely love this place. The location and the view was stunning.
