After a long day of travel, excited to see that the resort had a restaurant where we could grab dinner. It's a beautiful backscape as the dining area is right on the water. We also had the pleasure of enjoying live music nearby. We were greeted warmly and our server was attentive. Food from the kitchen came out a bit slow but the team acknowledged and apologized. The highlight at the table was the tostones - crispy bottoms with a flavorful topping. The shrimp tostada was fresh and creamy. And who doesn't love an elote plate?

Had breakfast here while staying at the hotel the food was great and the service is even better. Our server Palesa was very attentive and kind. She made our experience a wonderful one for sure. Give her a raise! Can't beat the view either.

Jhoanna was our bartender and server at Mercado and she was amazing. Drinks were superb. Highly recommend the El Diablo and the Paloma. Jhoanna was so sweet and personable. Went above and beyond. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Great lunch spot with an amazing view. The food was really good. Keisha took care of us and she was lovely.

Who woulda thought you could get such incredible food views and service in the middle of a downpour ! Food was superb! The elote dip was delicious! Tacos amazing and get the salsa trio too! The drinks were amazing as well. Sadly it rained so hard while we were there and it is all outside seating, however our server went above and beyond for us. Even when we said we wanted another drink we told him we didn't want him to have to walk through the rain (as the bar was in a cool camper across from where we were sitting) he replied with "it's no problem I have an umbrella!" Him and the hostess ran over there made drinks and he carried them back with her holding the umbrella. Honestly that was enough for us to say 5 stars. Going above and beyond like that. I would highly recommend coming here and I hope you get better weather but even in a storm WORTH IT!

The staff was very gracious, especially considering the late hour at which we arrived. I was able to practice my Spanish during ordering, including inquiring about vegan options. The lady taking our order was very patient, and carefully packaged everything up securely for the drive home. We ordered white rice, black beans, boiled yuca with mojo sauce, and sweet plantains, and everything was delicious. The rice had more flavor than your typical white rice, the beans and yuca were seasoned perfectly, and the plantains were just bliss. Although we were hungry we still had leftovers for the following day, and after tip the total was $23. For affordable, authentic, delicious Cuban food you can't go much more right than Sunrise.

Our research told us that this would be a great meal and it truly was. I ordered the pork chunks, which were perfectly fried and so flavorful and tender on the inside. My wife ordered Ropa Vieja which was pulled beef, which wasn't as good, but still quite tasty. Had to bring food back home with us, which we ate for various snacks before we departed. Fast food and a nice hidden gem in the town. Glad we had this kick off our trip.

The restaurant is tucked away on a back street, far from the usual tourist spots, which adds to its charm. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.
