I'm loving Green Turtle Inn for breakfast. A real Florida Keys icon, their food is fabulous. As you walk in for bfast you smell the waffles (heavenly) and see happy faces from the staff to the patrons. I love their breakfast burrito. Today we ordered the skillet cornbread w maple butter. It's was delicious!

Great food and great service a must stop place to eat breakfast or lunch! We ordered Roxy's omelette and the shrimp and grits for breakfast! Very, very delicious! Will definitely be back once we're in the area again. They offer seating for large parties indoors and also have a full service wraparound bar.

We started with the mussels and boy were they succulent!

We came this evening to celebrate our Anniversary and I am so glad we did. We have dined here before my husband and I renewed our wedding vows 15 years ago and we had the reception here. I had the sirloin dinner tonight and it was done perfectly. Served with demi glaze and mashed potatoes with assorted vegetables and they were also cooked nicely. My hubs had the Surf and Turf and his filet was cooked to order with bernaise sauce and they char the lobster in the shell and he said it was the best he ever had and worth every penny. Our server was very nice and polite. The dining room is quaint with a dark wood bar and it's atmosphere is varied with a mix of locals and tourists. I don't know if you know the history of Sid and Roxies Green Turtle Inn but it's very interesting and has stood the tests of time not to mention hurricanes. If you ever find yourself in Isle Morada on Highway 1 stop in for breakfast lunch or dinner, you won't be disappointed.

    Turtle soup.... Amazing.

Was driving to Fort Lauderdale from Key West and remembered seeing this restaurant mentioned in Guy Fieri's DDD show. The Turtle Soup was delicious and they give you a pepper sauce that adds to the flavor. The meatloaf wrapped in bacon was his recommendation and it did not disappoint. The waitress was so nice and food was brought out quickly. The memorabilia on the walls and the decor is inviting and warm. This is going to be one of my regular stops heading into the keys.

Had a great meal at Green Turtle Inn! I ordered the Roxie omelet loaded with blue crab, and it was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and generously topped. The service was friendly and attentive, and the coffee was excellent as well. Overall, a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely come back!

    BELT sandwich with GF toast!

I was very happy to order the egg sandwich with GF bread! It was messy but delicious. The Bloody Mary was pretty good but I am not a fan of cucumber vodka which seems to be popular in the keys. The waiter had my drink remade when my request for regular vodka was initially overlooked.

The shrimp and grits were fantastic. My daughter got the blueberry pancakes and she said they were great.we got service with a smile. And ambiance is a small mom and pop diner experience. We will be back. Awesome place highly recommend !!!!

Let me put you all on. Easily one of the best restaurants in the keys. Not only did they accommodate a big group on relatively short notice, but the food was amazing. Starting with the skillet cornbread, which I definitely recommend everyone should try and if you have a bigger group, definitely get two for the table not because it wasn't enough but because you're definitely going to to want to go for seconds. We had been in those keys for about a week at this point and we had gone to a few different restaurants. Everyone agreed that this was easily the best shrimp scampi they had ever tried. Well, I can't have shellfish. I did order the meatloaf and I don't think I would ever say this, but it was the best meatloaf I have ever had. This is a must stop and must try in the keys next time you're there.

    Meatloaf!! Yummy!

The food was great! The service was excellent! I lived the music they were playing... I will return!

My husband and I came here for breakfast after he told me that he had been there the day before with a couple friends and someone ordered the shrimp & grits and he tasted it... and we HAD to come get some. So... we did, and MAN! I never order shrimp & grits, but these were THE BEST shrimp & grits I have ever had. The grits were nice and solid, the sauce it was sitting in, the sausage was delicious... it was just perfect! Beside that, we were able to walk right in and get a table. Our server was very attentive and everything came out in a reasonable time. The restaurant was clean. We were pretty easy and just ordered 2 shrimp & grits, and a sweet iced tea (that was never empty) so all in all - it was a very good breakfast and we enjoyed it very much!

This was our first time eating here during all of our trips and this place was worth it. We ordered the mussels, cornbread, scallops, meatloaf and the lava cake. All the food tasted great and fresh. As far as the cornbread, that was probably the best thing we ate down here during this trip. It was amazing with the maple pecan butter, which is addicting. Do yourself a favor and get the lava cake. The service was also good and friendly. When we go back to the area, this will be one of the spots we return to.

Food perfection, and service like this only available in the Florida Keys. Classic timeless traditional architecture.

Some of the inedible meat left over

Got the 19$ 2 meat combo platter for takeout, outside menu showed the options as chicken, pulled pork, and brisket. Coming inside, they told me they don't serve brisket anymore and that it was just the pork and chicken. When the food arrived the pulled pork was cold, dry, and tasted spoiled. Sides tasted alright but could have done with a little more.

Everything had either too much mayonnaise or too much sauce or was overcooked. It was like they're too worried about the quality of the ingredients or the food to let it stand on its own. This could also be as a result of the cooking of the region. It would've been great to have something light and fresh. I did order a Caesar salad salad, and the dressing tasted like somebody edited ranch dressing. There was no anchovy flavor. The servers are nice, the prices aren't bad, and there is plenty of parking if you don't go on the weekend. The view is nice as well. Other than that, I really don't know if I would eat here again.

A special thank you to our concierge, Anne, who was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to recommend family-friendly activities both at the lodge and around Islamorada, and her recommendations made our trip even more memorable. One of the best things about Cheeca Lodge is that there's truly something for everyone. We loved that we could paddleboard, kayak, ride bikes, fish off the iconic pier, relax by one of the three beautiful oceanfront pools, or simply enjoy the incredible views. There's even complimentary golf, which we didn't have time to take advantage of this trip. Our lagoon-view room was beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. The entire property is stunning, secure with gated entry, and offers complimentary parking throughout your stay. We also had an amazing experience at Mia Cucina, the Italian restaurant on site. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the staff. The chefs were so kind and welcoming to our kids, making dinner feel extra special. The complimentary 24-hour shuttle was another huge plus, making it easy to explore the area without worrying about driving. There's also a 24-hour convenience store right across the street, which came in handy more than once. Islamorada ended up being the perfect destination for our family. It has such a relaxed, laid-back feel while still offering plenty to do. If you're looking for a luxury resort where you can truly unwind, spend quality time with family, and enjoy exceptional hospitality, Cheeca Lodge is it. Thank you to Anne and the entire Cheeca Lodge team for an unforgettable stay. We can't wait to return!

But the egg was cooked exactly as requested. The biscuit was huge!! More like a small loaf of bread. My husband got the all American breakfast with two eggs (poached), grits, and ham.
