Stopped in with our family when on vacation. We had read the rave reviews, seen the restaurant featured on triple D, and read the "Best Burger in Florida." The place is small and we sat at the bar. It's a cool, dive bar vibe with memorabilia on the wall. There were only a handful of others there, but the service was slow, especially considering it wasn't very crowded. It seems like the waitress was distracted and forgot about us. Eventually, we were taken care of. We all got one of their sodas and thought h they tasted good. We tried to order their award-winning fish dip, listed on the specials board, but the waitress said they were out of chips. Ok, fine -- we said "forget it" and moved onto the main course. We all ordered some variation of the Fancy Nancy, their namesake burger. It was a good burger but not the best in Florida. Not even close. The fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. Others in our party ordered the "award-winning" potato salad, which tasted pretty good. As an aside, I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked as desired. Everyone else ordered their burger medium and two were very pink, more like medium rare or rare. It seems like most of their awards and accolades were earned pre-COVID. This place never disappoints! If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a stop. The atmosphere is great, the service is always on point, and the food has been consistently excellent every time I've come by for lunch during my work breaks. Came early for dinner on a Saturday night. Wasn't busy and immediately sat at the bar. Stopped by because we saw it was on DDD and can clearly see why. Started off with the duck fat fries, which in today's world is a huge win as we are always filled with seed oils *cough cough Mcdonalds* They have homemade ketchup, which we tried with the fries, both regular and mango chipotle. Both were absolutely amazing. Then came the wings, 6 of them bone in. Cooked to perfection, slightly crispy but moist on the inside. The honey chipotle sauce had a slight spice but sweetness from the honey paired great. The blue cheese crumbles on top were heavy and we ate every last one (made a great dipping sauce for the fries as well) Unfortunately we didn't get to try the famous burgers or any of the amazing sounding desserts but we will be back. Service was great with easy order & pay done so simple at counter. Definitely can see why it would be considered a dive, smaller seating area with but the quick service I am sure you wouldn't have to wait long even if it's packed. Some outdoor seating as well. I told my wife "I think this is the best burger I've ever had." I got the Inside Out burger medium-well and it was amazing. The fries are fine, the dessert is meh at best, the place is small, but none of that really matters because the burger was incredible. My wife also got the chicken sandwich which was excellent as well. The lady inside was super nice; she was the only person on staff so she was very busy but thorough whenever we talked with her. The place is located in a little strip plaza so it's easy to completely miss when you pull in. This place used to be a fabulous restaurant. Boy is it gone downhill. It started with as soon as we walked in. The fans were on high speed, low, and behold the wiring for the lights and the fans are wired together. They lost the remote so whenever the lights are on, the fans are on at high speed. Try to find a seat that wasn't blustery and cold and you'd be lucky. Then onto the kitchen the cook had long hair, no hat or hair nut smoking over the stove, reading his phone paying more attention to that than he was the cooking just not what you'd like to see in a quality restaurant. The real reason for this review is the quality of the chicken sandwich. It was so thin when fried, it was thus overcooked. When complained about it, the server had that intended to be friendly attitude, but the words didn't reflect it. Basically it is what it is. Take it or leave it that was the attitude that was shared. It's tough to see a local establishment like this go downhill. We used to go there all the time, but the quality of the food has just gone downhill. I honestly don't get hungry for burgers very much but this one wooed me in a big way. On the menu, I read how this burger was rated #1 burger in Florida 2015-2017 and I totally understand. It gets my vote for 2022. My husband had The Nancy Pants with cheese (Double). Gotta love the menu names and while it doesn't go with his personality, it was the taste he was after: two burger patties, American cheese and toppings. The menu told us this burger was in the Top 101 Burgers in America 2015-2019. Not quite as impressive but my husband said it was a great burger.
