    Woodrow Chicken sandwich
    June H.

What a beautiful restaurant. They had high ceilings (unheard of in the Keys) and nice decor. They even put sound proof panels on the ceiling to help keep the noise level down (thoughtful!). We ate inside (Floridians like us know better than to expose ourselves to the heat and No See Um's outside at dusk). We thoroughly enjoyed the inside ambiance. Well done. The spacious patio out back did also actually look nice. I wanted to give this 5 stars but my husband was not impressed by the taste (or lack thereof) of his bacon burger so I had to take away a star. I had a delicious Woodrow Chicken sandwich piled high with their signature onions and bbq sauce. When they brought it out, I wondered how I could possibly get the huge thing into my mouth. It was enormous (see photo) and tasty. I cut it in half and ate leftovers the next day. Service was good except our waitress did seem to struggle a bit. She either could not hear us or did not understand us (language issue?). At least she kept asking us until she understood. I do appreciate that. We were skeptical but our order came out right, yippee! We even splurged by getting dessert. Can't pass up chocolate cake when it appears on the menu (rarely). It was a beautiful presentation (see photo)! Next time you are in Key Largo, give these folks a try. You won't be disappointed.

We came to this place for Mothers Day as first timers and were excited to try something new. We were greeted promptly and sat right away. The service was great. Very attentive and had rounds of folks asking if we needed anything. The food came out pretty quick. Everything was pretty fresh and tasted great. Not pictured were the chicken nachos which were really good. The only dish that was not good was the Mac and cheese. Aesthetically it looked amazing but it lacked flavor. We didn't eat it. Everything else was pretty good. Nice little spot with good service. We enjoyed our Mother's Day lunch here.

Key lime fish sandwich: lightly breaded topped with chopped tomatoes, a lot of scallions, and cheese with a lime butter sauce. 4.5 stars

Quality food on the main road worth a stop in Key Largo. Food: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Service: 5 Cost to worth it rating: 3( ~20 for sandwiches) Opentableable: no Return worthiness: sure Highlights: - Cole slaw: my friend loved it. Sweet tangy sauce and crunchy. 5 stars - Waffle fries: perfectly crispy and not too greasy. 4.5 stars - Key lime fish sandwich: lightly breaded sizable cut of fresh fish was very tasty. Topped with chopped tomatoes, a lot of scallions, and cheese on a brioche bun. Pretty scallion forward so may skip those next time. Sauce was butter with a hint of lime. 4.5 stars - Burger: cooked well and brioche bun. Picky teen gives it 4 stars - Lobster artichoke bisque: pretty good but didn't find any lobster bits. 3.75 stars - Staff: very friendly and attentive especially with keeping our waters filled. - Atmosphere: nice open space with high ceilings and colorful sea life art. - Menu: very large laminated laminated double sided with lots of options Midlights: - Ribs: wet ribs special were fine. 3.5 stars - Cheesesteak: meat was good but ratio of onions to meat was too high. More like an onion sandwich with steak, 3.5 stars - Conch fritters: were ok but all blended together vs few pieces of conch in versions I've had before. My friend enjoyed the sauces that came on the side. 3.25 stars - Key lime pie: wonderful smooth substantial texture but bit too sweet and not so limey. -Crust didn't add anything but liked the fruit swirl on the plate. 3.25 stars Lowlights: - Ahi wrap: friend said was just ok and would have preferred seated. 3 stars - Only beer and wine so no cocktail option if you're feeling like embracing the keys vibe

Excellent. Food was great and service was exceptional. Jessie took great care of us. Very much a locals place. Great happy hour. Hubs had wings and liked very much. Tuna was delicious. Cute outside seating area.

The happy hour calamari. Huge portion.

Needed to grab a quick bite and was surprised that Hobo's has a great 3-6pm Monday to Friday happy hour menu! The only catch is it is only valid at the bar. You cannot beat the $1 draft and $3 IPA drafts and $5 wine. The $8 appetizers are great! I had the calamari and it was easily enough for 2 to share. Someone seated near me was having the 10 buffalo chicken wings and they looked and smelled so appetizing. I just had a Coke Zero and was offered both a refill and a to-go cup! Bar service was super attentive. The bar was full, but the restaurant only had diners at two tables, so it was not as loud inside as it can be when Hobo's is busy. Great quick visit!

Delish food and attentive service. Portions are very large so we have lunch for tomorrow. Dinner was lobster bisque then shrimp and mushroom risotto. Hubby had the Hobo burger. Medium rare, they got it right. Reasonable prices considering the portion size. Bar/counter, and tables inside and outside under a covered porch. Go!

It's not the most obvious stop for dinner compared to some others that offer a spectacular view of a sunset, or are closer to the water... but what Hobo's does offer is a clean, cool open dining room with a bar and some tables, off of the main road in Key Largo to slow down and enjoy a nice meal. The wait staff was friendly and inviting. My owe ordered the hobo house beer and didn't love it, so asked them to switch it to a blue moon - which they happily accommodated. Speaking of alcohol, there is only beer and wine served - no spirits of any kind. The menu has some options with a heavy emphasis on seafood and some of which is locally sourced and caught. The meals were prepared well and the food was tasty. We felt the portions were very large for the price. We came here because of many of the local restaurants, fellow Yelpers recommend this place and it is rated fairly highly. We enjoyed it!

Food was delicious. Service was fast & very helpful. The menu has a lot of options, and everything we tried was delicious! Had the pasta, key lime mahi, calamari, fish dip, & key lime pie. No complaints for any.

Coconut mahi mahi! So good as someone who doesn't eat sharp but loved coconut shrimp this was IT

Fun friendly family atmosphere with locals and tourists. Huge portions. Mac and cheese and all fish entrees were more than enough for each person. Went first night on vacation and the service was fast. Best fish we had while down there.

12/2025 tuna nachos. Definitely enough as a meal or to share.

This was one of my favorite restaurants that we went to in the Keys. A lot of good options on the menu and at a reasonable price. Service was about average.

This is an incredible venue and restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious and beautifully presented. Great draft beers and prompt, friendly service. Prices are better than average. Lovely shaded outdoor patio and cute indoor seating ... something for everyone. What an asset for Key Largo.

Stop by the place on our way out of the Keys for lunch. They have great patio seating but it's a little chilly outside so we opted to sit indoors. Our waitress was super friendly and very helpful with the menu since it's quite extensive. We settled with fried calamari, conch fritters, and blackened shrimp salad bowl to share. Their portions are extremely generous so glad that we did that. Finished with the best key lime pie I have ever eaten, now I have to go home and make a copycat pie ‍.

    Loaded baked potato
    MIchelle C.

We were seated quickly and the server was friendly. The food came out very quickly. We both ordered salads with our meal and noticed how large the chop was on the vegetables (lettuce, tomato, etc). The chop was even large on the green onions for my loaded baked potato (which was delicious). It was busy on a Saturday night, but they were turning tables over fast. The fried seafood combo was good, with the highlights being the mahi fingers and the scallops (sweet and buttery - so good!)

It is a little tricky to find it, once you find the parking lot, it is super confusing as to where you enter. There are two floors and multiple doors. Finally someone directed us up the stairs and to the back of the building. We were greeted and given menus fairly quickly, but it took an extraordinarily long time to get our food that day. The hollandaise sauce was atypical as it tasted like there was cheese in it. The smoked salmon on a bagel tasted okay, but fell apart when it was picked up. The breakfast burrito lacked a lot of flavor. The blueberry pancake, although slightly overcooked, was actually very good. The bacon and fried potatoes were not crisp, as I prefer them. So if you like crispy bacon and fried potatoes, ask for that when placing your order. The windows and floors are dirty and the women's bathroom had a round hole with a dirty sock stuck in it on the floor. I actually tripped over it. And the bathroom could have been much cleaner. With a few improvements, Sharkeys could be more appealing to tourists going through and visiting the Keys.

The place is small and we sat at the bar. It's a cool, dive bar vibe with memorabilia on the wall. There were only a handful of others there, but the service was slow, especially considering it wasn't very crowded. It seems like the waitress was distracted and forgot about us. Eventually, we were taken care of. We all got one of their sodas and thought h they tasted good. We tried to order their award-winning fish dip, listed on the specials board, but the waitress said they were out of chips. Ok, fine -- we said "forget it" and moved onto the main course. We all ordered some variation of the Fancy Nancy, their namesake burger. It was a good burger but not the best in Florida. Not even close. The fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. Others in our party ordered the "award-winning" potato salad, which tasted pretty good. As an aside, I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked as desired. Everyone else ordered their burger medium and two were very pink, more like medium rare or rare. It seems like most of their awards and accolades were earned pre-COVID. We wanted to like this local spot but I have to imagine it's not what it once was.

This is one of those spots that immediately tells you it's a local favorite the second you walk in. It feels homey, lived in, and deeply rooted in the community. The average crowd definitely skews older, which honestly just shows how loyal the regulars are and how long this place has been doing something right. We stood for a minute or two when we arrived, which wasn't a problem at all, but the initial interaction felt a little abrupt. Nothing hostile, just very direct and urgent. We later found out that Cathy is the owner, and it became clear very quickly that this place is her whole world. She works hard, moves fast, and runs on urgency. That energy can sometimes come off sharp, especially to visitors who aren't used to that local, no frills style, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt. There were moments throughout our visit where the tone felt a little rough around the edges, and it wasn't just with us, we noticed it with other tables too. It didn't feel personal, more like someone who is stretched thin and running on fumes. To her credit, there were moments where she self corrected, and I genuinely believe this was just a long day rather than bad intentions. Running a place like this day in and day out is not easy, and you can feel how much effort goes into keeping it moving. This review isn't meant to tear anyone down, just to be honest for future guests so they know what to expect walking in. What truly changed our entire experience and pushed this from a four star visit to a solid five was our server. Her name started with a T, she wore glasses, and she was African American, and she was an absolute blessing. She treated us with warmth, patience, and genuine care, like we were family she was looking out for. When we sat down and the table needed to be wiped, she handled it gracefully without a single awkward moment. Everything she did felt intentional and kind. She was attentive without hovering, respectful, and genuinely happy to be doing her job. There was also a sweet older Latina woman clearing tables who was just as lovely and welcoming. It became very clear that despite the different personalities, this place functions as a team, and the heart of High Tide lives in the people who treat guests with care and humanity. If you get that server whose name starts with a T, you are in excellent hands. Now let's talk about the food, because this is where High Tide really shines. The hash brown casserole is a straight ten out of ten. No exaggeration. Comfort food perfection. Crispy, savory, and absolutely worth ordering. The country style platter we ordered was also a ten according to my friend, hearty and satisfying in the best way. The lobster benedict was good, I would give it about an eight. It's a fun, unique option if you want to try something different, but not the standout compared to the rest of the menu. And then there's the real star of the show, the Key lime pie. Even if you are not hungry, come for the pie. This is hands down the best Key lime pie I have ever had. Perfectly balanced, not overly tart, smooth and almost cheesecake like in texture. It's the kind of dessert that makes you pause after the first bite because it's that good. Beautifully presented too. The decor is charming and thoughtfully cluttered in a way that feels authentic, not staged. The bathrooms are old but very clean. Parking is a little quirky but manageable, and there is parking available if you're patient. Overall, the vibe is cozy, memorable, and unmistakably local. Would I come back? Absolutely, especially for the food and that pie. Cathy, you are clearly working your ass off, and I hope this was just a rough day. This review comes with honesty and flowers, not shade. Five stars for the food, the heart, and the people who make this place what it is. I do recommend it.
