Initially, we were deterred by "cash only" but got past it after reading the reviews. Best food in the Keys. Small batch, quality ingredients (non-gmo, organic), and unique dishes. There's plenty of seafood spots around, which all seem to have your standard dishes with huge portions but here, you'll find huge portions with the quality ingredients. Lobster roll and tuna tacos had chunks of seafood. The She Crab Soup is a must - add some sherry to it. Get the fresh squeezed lemonade too. We just left here and WOW! Amazing food!! We had one of their fish specials (Southwest style) and it was so good! Also enjoyed their Greek salad with fresh ahi tuna. Politics before food. Not what I look for in a restaurant. Insulting service and ambiance.

Well to start, we live in Atlanta and we are foodies. We were going to just buy seafood and make it dazzle. However we didn't want to cook. We got the Greek salad with mahi and added sushi grade tuna which they boasted was the best I would ever have. I decided to take them up on it. Oh my, they knocked it out of the park. Skip the other yelps and go with something amazing and eccentric in an eccentric environment along with a chef that maybe having a beer while you walk away in and watch you as you taste his culinary creations. Had dinner there yesterday. I didn't think the place was pricey but it's nothing fancy either. Very plain place close to the resort we are staying at. I will say this the waitress was very political in a place where you should keep politics away from you business. They have the government posts to wear mask at the door but it's crossed out. With all that said I had the shrimp taco and hubby had the angus burger and both where good. I always feel that the best way to turn customers off is to bring politics into the mix. No booze license but I am sure you can bring your own . read more

Came for dinner last night. Had been to the original location many times years ago. The She Crab Soul is still unparalleled and I've stopped ordering it from any other establishment because it never measured up to Todd's. I had the Hogfish with the Black Magic preparation which was amazing. She had the Seahorse which was hogfish with a horseradish based cream sauce which was even better. The sides were the best tasting, creamiest black beans I've ever had. Try Shelby's cupcakes. We brought two fro breakfast, they didn't make it out of the parking lot.
