The outside is deceiving cause once you get inside and see the menu OMG is huge. The service and food was absolutely amazing!! Hands down would recommend.

Shrimp Toast & Teochew Dumplings aka fun goh

I've been missing Harbor City since they closed in the CID. Hubby and I made a jaunt to my old stomping grounds in Beacon Hill to check out Dim Sum House. What drew me in were the shrimp toast and the shrimp egg rolls, which were good! The baked bbq pork bun and football's are huge! The fun guo (teochew dumpling) was flavorful. The pork puff pastry (char siu sou) was a little too dense for our taste. This place has big portions and good flavor, which made me happy that this is a good fill-in for the departed Harbor City in Seattle. Their prices are similar to what you find in CID except Dim Sum House portions are bigger and tastier. I'm looking forward to coming back to try some more of their steamed dim sum items.

My brother likes this place. He always asked to eat here when he visited. They don't have of him tables. I would stick with dimsum menu. We did not like their wonton soup. The wait could be long for food because they have a lot of to go. Come early if you want bake custard buns. They ran out. I like sumai and shrimp egg rolls. Parking has been okay to me.

Try the garlic pea vine, while you get you dim sum from 9am-9pm! I always like a dim sum place that serves both 炸蝦球 and 炸兩腸粉.

This is a great no frills Chinese Food and Dim Sum restaurant. Each meal comes with complementary hot tea, which was delicious. I ordered several items from the menu, all items were delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Stumbled upon this gem of a place in the heart of Beacon Hill on a random black Friday and was pleasantly surprised at the service and at the quality of the food. I ordered a chicken curry for a friend and it was absolutely delicious. Love the old school family vibe in this place look forward to being back to try it again!

Great dim sum steamed to order right on Beacon Hill. Lots of variety, from seafood fishes( I saw a family order spot prawns & lobster in ginger scallion sauce) right beside us as we were having dim sum around 11:30 AM on a Sunday. They are under new ownership but I'm unsure when that happened. I haven't been to Dim Sum House for several years due to poor service...but the ladies that work there now are very attentive & thorough. This was a pleasant surprise to know that I Dim Sum House is definitely back in my rotation. Everything we had was tasty & freshly made, except for the baked items which are in a big case...that's heated I believe. The dining room Is small with 2 large banquet tables on one side and about 6-8 2 & 4 top tables on the other side. We waited about 10 minutes for a table for 4 opened up but it was quick & worth it!. The restaurant has been newly renovated so it was clean & updated. I will definitely be back.

I've been coming to Dim Sum House in Beacon Hill because it's convenient when visiting family. The food is okay, though not as strong as some spots in the International District. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. This was a to-go order totaling about $60. When I got home, I realized my wonton noodle portion was missing (only the broth was in the bag). I returned to the restaurant right away, but the woman who helped me, who appeared to be the owner or part of management, insisted that I already had it and even suggested that I had eaten it and came back for more. That accusation was embarrassing and unnecessary. Eventually, I was given the missing portion, but the situation could have been handled calmly and professionally from the START. I have never been so embarrassed around people eating and listening to our argument, and treated like a homeless person demanding for food. A simple apology and QUICK resolution would have gone a long way. Customer service and respect matter just as much as the food.

Bbq pork buns and footballs

This isn't the BEST dim sum place and it's definitely not as good as the popular spots in the International District, but it does satisfy the craving for dim sum when you really want it. We stopped here because the location was more convenient for us at the time. On a weekday at around 2pm there were 4 other parties eating here at the same time as us so I'm guessing it must get pretty crowded on weekends. I have no complaints about the service as it's basically what you would expect at any dim sum restaurant. Prices were reasonable and food portions were good.

One thing is…read morefor sure though, the Hong Kong foods & beverages here are 5/5 good tasting, authentic, and handmade Hong Kong style. Yes, there aren't too many of these old spots available anymore across the U.S. as dining out is expensive, especially at overpriced & overvalued modern Hong Kong style restaurants nowadays. 5/5 for excellent customer service too. They are welcoming, warm, and friendly here if you decide to chat a moment with them. The place isn't modern or fancy inside. It's a very casual atmosphere and the building itself is unique. Credit cards accepted. Originally, we were just going to stop by for fast HK style breakfast or something light before heading to the airport later that early evening. Surprisingly, after we had a plain porridge/oyster sauce ginger scallion noodles/rice noodles/water & coffee, we actually ended up talking to the boss lady in Cantonese for another good two hours. She treated us to two teapots of good authentic Chinese brewed green tea. That was a very good hydration stop and we got to know her a bit. Good people. We added the favorite HK french toast afterwards which was excellent/exactly the way we like it to be. Old HK cafe/coffee spots can be good. Scan QR code on table if dining in or use the self service kiosk by the door. Note, they do get lots of online takeout orders, so just be patient when waiting for foods. Boss lady said that Seattle Chinatown has been hit hard due to high inflation times. There were cases where groups of families ate here and didn't pay/they took off eating free foods. Small businesses suffer. We were very satisfied with our stop and look forward to coming back in future. Foods are great tasting and authentic. Harmony Palace deserves more appreciation in Seattle's Chinatown district. Love it here. Good first impression for sure.

The lovely woman who works there recommended ordering the wontons in chili oil. The wontons had a big pocket of pork on one side and a nice piece of shrimp on the other side. It was outstanding. I also had the beef and vegetable chow fun. It was very good. The vegetable was Chinese broccoli. Combined with the tender pieces of beef in a sauce and skinnier rice noodles, the dish was decidedly less greasy than the other chow fun I have had elsewhere. As a Seattle native, I'm pleased that Harmony Palace joins the other noteworthy, long time restaurants in the International District. I highly recommend. They serve dim sum, soup and main dish entrees.

For most people, I feel that we find a Chinese restaurant and if we like it, we commit forever. I haven't had Fortune Garden and felt adventurous, was not disappointed in taste though I'd be interested in comparing value across the shops in Chinatown. They have some nice lunch combos, but sucks that they don't provide soup for takeout. Could substitute with a rice or something! Honey Walnuts Prawns - honey walnut shrimp is such a classic, easily one of my favorites from childhood and still near the top of my list. I don't know if it's the takeout container, but the quantity with respect the box was disappointing. Felt like there was less shrimp and walnuts compared to what I'm used to, but I think I also pay closer to $22-25 for the dish (the one here was $20). Minced Pork with Green Bean - now this was a hefty box, lots of green beans tossed with the classic XO sauce and a solid amount of pork. Honestly not much to comment on, this was a hearty dish and very comforting. Would recommend for green bean or string bean lovers.

We got the preserved meat clay pot rice, salt and pepper fried fish filet, and beef brisket and wonton noodle soup. The clay pot rice was okay - the pricing is fair but the execution could be a bit better. I felt like the rice was a bit lacking in flavor, and they only have the standard soy sauce, not the ones in a sauce tray that is usually a bit sweeter. The salt and pepper fried fish filet was good - definitely recommend that for the taste and value. The noodle soup was also good - the wontons were okay but I loved the beef brisket. Noodles seem to be handmade as the texture is a bit uneven, but I appreciate these types of noodles more. Service is standard for a Chinese restaurant - you just need to flag them down and requests are fulfilled in a timely manner

This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

H Bistro 3.8/5…read more Food - 3.8/5 Quality: 3/5 Portion sizes: 5/5 Flavor: 3.5/5 We ordered the staples like chow mein, house fried rice, angus beef, and my personal favorite: the honey walnut prawns. To start, the portion sizes are amazing. When I saw the waiter pull out a whole vat of fried rice, I was already nodding in approval. They're big and make you feel like you're getting your money's worth. The quality of the food I would say is slightly better than average. While the fried rice and noodles were great, the shrimp used for the honey walnut prawns had that rubbery/synthetic mouth-feel, so docked off some points for that. Taste-wise, the noodles and rice were pretty light and a bit bland, which makes sense why the soy sauce tasted extra salty. Use it as a good counterbalance. I doused that rice in soy sauce and sriracha because it was me, but if you're not a fan of bold flavors and are looking to lose weight (but still love fried rice), it may be more up your alley. Honey walnut prawns were buss (not minding the texture thing), and the angus beef was seasoned to perfection. I'll take 3 more plates of that angus beef if not for the fact that my dish was 1 part beef and 3 parts zucchini. Would've preferred more beef for a dish that was 23 bucks. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the zucchini dish with a side of beef. Water tasted like tea and and not the other way around. Service - 4.3/5 Hospitality - 4/5 Speed - 4/5 Wait times - 5/5 Nothing too remarkable here. It's a family owned restaurant so the vibes were very homey. We got seated right away because we were loitering outside the door before the open sign turned on. Wait times were fine. It took roughly 15 mins for everything to be pushed out, with the fried rice being the first dish to land on our table. Hospitality was average. The waiter checked in on us a few times and asked if we needed refills for our water, but that's about it. I enjoyed saying hi to the occasional kid who popped in the shop. Design - 3.25/5 Interior: 4/5 Exterior: 2/5 Neighborhood: 3/5 Amenities: 4/5 Outside is mid, but the inside is lit with decorations and fun lights. Again, very homey and easy to navigate around the place. Neighborhood is the CID which can be shady at night, but we went during the daytime so it was chill. Just look over your shoulder every once in a while and carry pepper spray. Bonus points because the trip to the bathrooms didn't feel like going to the backrooms. Overall, food was semi-buss, waiter said hi, I didn't get jumped, the inside wasn't a liminal space, and the bathrooms wasn't a trip to the backrooms. 7.6/10.
