I loved everything about the buildings exterior, the interior design of the decor and the friendly welcoming the staff provided. My meal was exceptional, the wine was remarkable and the evening could not have been more fluid. It was an absolutely incredible experience and I will not hesitate to be a patron again in the near future. Awesome place to dine. read more

literally so good i got the spaghetti and a cannoli and i was blown away. a must if u like italian

Wonderful little addition to the Beauvallon and Capitol Hill neighborhood! I've been there twice now, and the both times I tried some different things and was favorably impressed. Let's start with the service, which is friendly, neighborly and welcoming. The owner came out and greeted me both times; he clearly has the touch. The family came in for a late-ish dinner before a movie, and though it was just 15 minutes before closing, they were glad to have us, and didn't make us rush at all. The menu has only a few options in each category, but that's how I like it. I hate places that try to do too much too soon and as a result is mediocre in everything. We tried the pastas--ravioli pesto and the pasta marinara--which are all fresh and homemade, and you can definitely tell there are years of family traditions cooked and distilled into those dishes. The farm-to-table ethic comes off authentically in the dish, for example the ravioli were accented with some blanched fava beans just because they were fresh and in season. It's not a lot of food, but it's the just right amount. Pair it with a salad and a glass of wine, and it's a fine meal. On another occasion, I had the italian cold cut sandwich; I forget what it's called and everything that was in it but it was delish. The decor is bright, fresh and modern. I especially like that the primary seating is a large wooden community table, which is spacious enough to not feel crowded in with the other customers, but small enough to be convivial. My only detractions are for the dessert and pastry options, which, while they look fantastic in the case, are a little disappointing upon eating. And also, the prices are little wee high for the amount of food you get, especially at lunch. I feel like a ten dollar sandwich should give you enough to save a half to scarf down later at home, but sadly it's not. read more

What a cute little Italian Deli on the corner we had the arugula salad as well as the meatball sandwich and it was fantastic and the help was incredible they were very courteous and helpful read more

Great little hole in the wall in Capitol Hill. The meatball and sausage sandwiches were fantastic as was the Kale Caesar salad. My daughter loved the gelato. Would definitely return. Thumbs up!! read more

I've eaten here a few times, and every time I've felt that the food was overpriced and not great.

My girlfriend and I came in with a serious craving for Italian. First time here and we were blown away by how good our meals were. The red sauce was without a doubt one of the best Ive ever tried. Seriously though, it was one of the best I have ever had and the meatballs were superb and bursting with flavor. A unique and defining dish with fresh, bright flavors. My girlfriend loved the fettuccine alfredo as much as I loved the red sauce. She finished the whole plate which is a first! We finished our dinner with some desserts. The cannoli and the nutella gelato did not disappoint. All the ingredients used here are fresh, seasonal and of high quality. The meal size left us feeling full but not heavy, hard to do with Italian. All around fantastic experience, staff was great too! Definitely coming back on a regular basis! read more

Tried this place because of the yelp reviews and had to say I was a little surprised. I wasn't a fan of my pasta because I didn't care for the sauce, it was too sweet. I felt that the portions were very small considering the prices. All in all, I just wasn't that impressed. I do have to say that my mom had spaghetti and meatballs and she said the meatball was pretty good. read more

DiFranco's is suuuuper good. Gourmet Italian - quick, affordable, and a great location. I'll be going back regularly.

DiFranco's is one of the best secrets in the city! I continue to be amazed at the quality and creativity that comes out of this little place! Ryan DiFranco's commitment to the highest quality of local and organic ingredients shines through in each dish, and his price point is hard to beat when it comes to the quality you get. I've been to other more publicized restaurants and paid far more, but most of them don't even come close to what this little place captures. Go here-- you won't regret it. read more

Delicious Italian dishes prepared by people who obviously care about the products they serve to their customers. We had the stuffed shells with sausage, seasonal ravioli (green pea), meatball sandwich, and kale Caesar salad, all of which we devoured. The only criticism is that the ravioli were a bit too al dente for my taste; perhaps another minute in the boiling water would have made them perfect (in all fairness, the place was busy, the window for perfect pasta is tiny, and overcooked pasta would have been worse). Not bad for our first family meal in Denver. read more

Amazing Italian, best pasta I've found in Denver so far. The pasta noodles are so fresh and really make the meal. Every part was awesome, from the salads to the entrees to the breads. Great casual date spot too. read more

Absolutely amazing Italian food, the atmosphere has high energy and the staff is super friendly. Had one of the best Italion meals I have ever had. The cannolis and cream puffs were to die for. Going to be coming back for the carbonara which starts on January 3rd read more

Good food and friendly staff, but I can't help be a little outraged at the size of my sandwich. I've become accustomed to the upcharge for gluten free bread or pasta (even though it kills me inside...I'm cursed with a life without gluten AND I have to pay extra for shittier tasting bread?), but for $9.50 I'd expect a slightly larger chicken parm or at least extra fillings to compensate for the tiny width of the sandwich. read more

The food is Good , not great . They do use top notch quality ingredients like Clyde's Sausage . There is none better in Colorado . What is lacking to push a place like this over the top is ... Top notch service . The environment is almost sterile , not quaint . The people there are apathetic or indifferent at best . When u run a neighborhood establishment , being outgoing , engaging , and at the very least kind and appreciative is essential . This place is missing that . For all that they do in the kitchen they are equally lacking in customer service skills . Taking that into consideration .... Makes me not care whether or not I go bk . I have been here at least 15-20 times hoping that might change , so now I think I can safely say that ain't gonna happen . read more

Excellent homemade pasta!! The best spaghetti I have ever had! I usually sub the meatballs for the chicken parm. Would be nice if it wasn't such an additional up charge but it's worth it for the occasional plate of pasta! read more

the food was 5 stars but the wait made my rating 3. i ordered the egg plant parm and garlic bread. my hubby's dinner wasn't ready with the rest of our entrees so it made for an uncomfortable dinner. his dinner wasn't ready until we were almost done with ours. read more

Went to DiFranco's last night for dinner based on my wife's recommendation from going to there for lunch. If you like Italian, the food is soooooo wonderful! The pasta sauce is amazing, kinda sweet and very peppery. They also make their own burrata which I enjoy with a glass of red wine. I will definitely be coming back. read more

the staff was very friendly and happy to help. the italian greens salad was very tasty and a decent portion. the chicken parm sandwich was very tender and instead of using lettuce they used parsley, which was a nice touch, although the marinara was a little salty. my friend said her side of sausage & garlic bread were delicious. prices were pretty fair. read more

If your new to Denver or have been here for awhile, Difrancos is a must. This is one of, if not the best, Italian restaurant in Denver. For an affordable prices, you can get high quality fresh ingredients. Difrancos offers great specials throughout the week, especially on Thursday's where they offer $9 sandwiches with a house salad. My personal favorite is the chicken Parmesan sandwich. My experience here has been nothing but positive and I would highly recommended Difrancos to everyone. read more

The BEST authentic Italian food I've ever had, their cream puffs are out of this world amazing!!

This place is awesome! The location is ideal, just outside downtown Denver, the staff is super friendly (especially Charlie!), and the food is spectacular. My fiancé and I came here when we first started dating and I'm so glad we did! It has become our place! We just celebrated our negative 1 year anniversary here (365 days until we get married) and we will continue to frequent this place as often as we can! read more

Only in Denver once a month. Difranco's was close to my hotel with good reviews so tried it out. Glad I did as I was pleasantly surprised. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with a naked chicken cutlet and a side of garlic bread. Everything was delicious. I will make this place a must have when I'm in town. I'm already planning to have this for lunch and dinner tomorrow. read more

What can I say besides this is the best Italian restaurant in town. Every time I eat there I feel like it is being cooked in a home kitchen. The staff is absolutely great! Every single staff member I have encountered has made me feel right at home. Try everything! I have had half the menu and every single item has been amazing. Take your friends here. From my experience, they will love it!! So happy to have found you!! All because of Yelp. Ok gotta go. My delivery should be here shortly. Oh yeah. They deliver! One more thing, Wednesday night date night is an amazing deal! Great food, great wine choices and the salads are delicious. I really can't say enough. Thanks! read more

Man, having had so so sandwiches recently, I was really pleased with this place. I got the pesto chicken sandwich and it was delicious on warm crusty bread, really tasty pesto, perfectly cooked chicken and not too much greens. My partner got the penne which was also tasty--vodka sauce was great! We got our food quickly even though they seemed busy. The house red was ok and the beer selection was basic but it is not meant to be a bar. Would definitely come back! read more

I just had lunch here and find the food mediocre but at 5 star restaurant prices. The salad I had was way too oily. However, the tomato soup was better than average. No dedicated seating, only a long table that everyone sits at. Payed $7 for a small bowl of soup, $11 for a small salad all so I can re-live cafeteria dining. Staff not very friendly. read more
