DiFranco's is amazing. From fresh food to staff to ambiance. Clean, fast & delicious! I would eat here everyday if I could. Only downfall.. no espresso. Although, I am a fiend so they have a hall pass for that. Added plus: The owner, Ryan, is a dream :) read more

Holy hell! That was so delicious! I cannot believe I am raving so much about a chicken cutlet, but it was absolutely incredible: crispy, not greasy, fresh with parsley, a bit salty from the parm, and the most delicious surprise of LEMON ZEST! Amazing! You must go, NOW! The pasta was pretty great too... read more

We are from Arizona just coming through Denver had dinner here! It was fantastic food and the people were great!

DiFranco's is truly an amazing experience. I took my 9 yr old daughter there for dinner on a friday night and left looking forward to my next father-daughter date at DiFrancos. Lets start with the service. The staff was so patient with us while we dissected the menu in spite of it being a friday night and a line almost moving out the door. They were slammed and yet they treated us like we were the only patrons in the place. The food was fantastic. We didnt get anything unusual. We went with the basics. Basil Pesto Fettucine and an italian sausage sandwich. Both were fantastic. The pesto was ridiculous and the fettucine was cooked to a perfect al dente. The italian suasage was the best that ive had to date and that includes southern italy. We ended the night with the lemon ricotta cookies. WOW!!!! So so good. I left Difranco's eagar to come back for more. read more

For the money, you can't beat this place. Delicious seasonal menus, AUTHENTIC Italian, and very affordable wine lists. Definitely check out the cheap date night on Wednesdays: 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 cannolies (sp?) and a bottle of wine for $45. See what I mean? read more

Simply good casual Italian restaurant. Food is very fresh and tasty. Don't miss out on their $10 lunch special! Their happy hour $16 bottle of wine is also an incredible deal ! read more

An easy 5 stars. We found this little Italian joint by accident and have, since, made the 1.5 hour trip 3 times just to eat here. I'm a born and raised 2nd gen Italian-American so I'm incredibly picky with Italian food. I have yet to be disappointed by Di Franco's. Their chicken parm is amazing, quite honestly, the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I've since redone my own chicken a recipe to mimic theirs. Their meatballs are massive and very flavorful and their sauce is perfect. Throw in the homemade pasta and incredible basil lemonade, and you've got a 5 star review. Love this place! read more

This place has great staff and the food is delicious. Most of there food is locally produced as well.

The food here is awesome! The environment is very casual and the staff was very nice. We were in search of handmade pasta and after reading great reviews decided to give this restaurant a try. I had the butternut squash ravioli which was amazing. My wife ordered the penne. The only disappointment was that the menu stated their pasta was handmade, but after our plates came we realized the penne was not. Knowing that handmade penne is a rarity we failed in clarifying when ordering but felt that they should have noted this on the menu, rather than suggesting that all of their pasta is handmade. Aside from this "glitch" everything was great and we will definitely eat here again! read more

All around amazing. Fettuccine = Delicious. Quinoa Salad = So delicious. Desserts = On Point. Vibe in store = Awesome. Highly recommend this place! read more

This place was delicious! Lexi and Charlie are awesome... I had the sweet potato ravioli and my husband had the pasta with meatballs. The canolis were better than what I ate back in New York City....Did I really say that?! We'll be back ::) read more

I admit I didn't expect this place to be that good. I read the reviews and wanted to give a shot. I had trouble to find the place, it was dark and there is 955 A, B, C.... This restaurant is a small and cozy. The food was simply delicious and it's their own recipes and homemade pasta. The service was great and people very warming. read more

Best Italian food I've ever had! I had fettuccine alfredo that was so good I almost licked the plate. My partner had a chicken parm sandwich that blew his mind. The chocolate chip cannoli was the perfect dessert-- the ricotta was just the right size, just the right balance of ricotta and chocolate. The service was great, also. I really liked Lexi; she was very funny, very cool, and all around fun to be around. This place is the full package; we will be back with reinforcements. read more

Sorry for the delay, but DiFranco's reached out to me with an apology and a refund for the salads. I appreciate the concern to keep their customers happy and although I haven't been back yet, I'm sure I will stop in again soon. read more

I do believe that this is some of the best Italian in Denver. The owner Ryan is very intent on having the best quality foods. They have seasonal menus, that keep you wanting more! read more

We've been to DiFranco's many times, and I've also had them cater events for my business. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the people are the kind of people you want to do business with! I can't recommend them enough! read more

I can't believe it took us so long to go here. I looked for it 1/2 dozen times the last couple years....careful, you go right by it quickly. Finally I see why I've been hearing the name. The freshest, simple awesome Italian you can get. OMG I am speechless. read more

Ordered pick up here last night and I got the penne with vodka sauce which was delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken parm and we open the box and it immediately smelled like a sweet treat. We each took a bite and to our surprise it was sweet! I've had chicken parm all over and my family is Italian and I've never had something so sweet with a chicken parm. We go back because neither of us could eat it and the manager tells us it's a Sicilian recipe that uses cinnamon. But told us he can't give us a refund because we ordered through a 3rd party company. While I get people have different recipes, this was waaaaay too sweet. I think the chef went over board on it because after research on this Sicilian version of red sauce, they all say a PINCH of cinnamon. And ours had way more than just a pinch. I think the owner should specify on the description of the chicken parm that the sauce has cinnamon added to it rather than what it says, "red pepper flakes" because there was absolutely no spice from red pepper flakes with our meal. read more

Just another opinion that if you want homemade pasta and sauce this is the place. You can also purchase pasta and sauces to take home and cook it yourself don't forget the homemade pastries for dessert you'll be glad you did read more

If this restaurant was near where I lived I would eat here every day! So good and the staff was great! I had the chicken parm sandwich and it was AWESOME! Also, i highly recommend the butternut squash ravioli! read more

This place is very tasty. Great staff and has a mom and pop feel to it. I would highly recommend it.

Worth the trip! I am a NY Italian and hunted down DiFranco and was not disappointed !

DiFranco's Italian is perfect for those days when you are in a hurry and you want an amazing, and fresh, meal! The staff always greets me when I walk in the door. . . always makes me smile, even if I am HANGRY. I always recommend DiFranco's to my friends, family and clients! read more

Great food and great staff! Haven't had anything I didn't like and I have tried most of it. Love the seasonal changes too.

I join the chorus of fans of DiFranco's. The food is *very* good, particularly the fresh, well thought out pastas, as others have mentioned, but I give a special shout out to the salads (the shaved asparagus & cannelini and the polenta & mushroom both worth special mention) and to the cookies and desserts. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming in a way that is comfortably "hip" but without pretense. Definitely one of the best Italian food options in Denver right now (and the Wednesday "date night" specials are terrific). The only real downsides are the somewhat odd building where they're located (but I can't hold that against them -- it's always seemed strange to me), and the fact that with their wonderful food and small seat-yourself space, it's only a matter of time before they are oversubscribed and we'll have to wait for a seat. Get there before everyone else does, this place really is worth it. read more

The food was excellent! My wife had the agnolotti pasta and I had the angel hair with spicy sauce and a meatball. We loved the food so much that we ordered a chicken pram "sangwich" to share (we were hungry!). The food quality and flavor were incredible. We will definitely come back. We would like to see larger portions and better seating capacity. read more

The food was horrible. I had the polenta which came out cold. The "" locally procured eggs probably came from the Safeway around the corner. There was nothing farm raised about them. The mushrooms were poached and balsamic vinegar and way overpowering. The cannoli was fair at best. The filling was scarce and sparse and loaded with lemon. Something that is not part of any cannoli recipe. I had the chicken Alfredo sandwich and the Alfredo sauce was like library paste. The sandwich also was wrought with the taste of lemon. There was nothing authentic about the food here. Ryan, I can appreciate your passion as an owner, however it doesn't change my opinion. FYI-I'm from Sciliy read more

My dad and I ate here for lunch, he had a Italian sausage sandwich and I had the penne pasta and meatball. It was fantastic! The service was amazing, they were so welcoming and the food was incredible! We will be going back again!!! read more

I stopped in this place for lunch after reading the reviews. I'm east coast Italian so I'm always searching for good Italian eats in Denver. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. Upon entering, I was greeted with a big and very sincere welcome. This is a casual type place - you order at the register and they bring the food to you. I ordered a chicken caesar salad at $12. No bargains here, but I was completely satisfied with the end result. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and warm. What a treat and surprise. The dressing was delicious and the croutons were crusty and delish - big pieces of bread! I will definitely be back to try this place and next time will save room for dessert! read more

Take away diner: pasta is well-made and delicious! Great place if you're looking for a quick dinner solution without any sacrifice. Ryan was informative and welcoming, great hospitality! I will be back to dine in for sure. read more

5 stars isn't enough... Had lunch here recently. Was expecting a sit down, full service restaurant, but heard it was good so didn't bother us at all. I had the sweet potato gnocchi and my gf had the spaghetti. Both were incredible! My girlfriend is a vegetarian but I told her that if she was going to try meat, then it has to be the ragu I had with my gnocchi. I usually avoid spaghetti at all costs because it always tastes and feels very dense and heavy and messy, but the spaghetti here was so light, and cooked perfectly! And the meatball was seasoned just right. Best Italian food in Denver, hands down! Now if only they could deliver to my part of town!! read more

I first sampled Ryan's tomato vodka sauce when he had a market stand at Denver Urban Homestead several years ago. Expanding into their own storefront space has taken their food offerings to a whole new level. The chicken parm sandwich I had for lunch at their place yesterday was absolutely perfect: a crispy baguette filled end to end with perfectly cooked chicken, and just the right amount of sauce to make the sandwich slightly messy (nothing wrong with a little sauce on your fingers!). The green side salad was light and delicious. Can't believe I walked out without buying some of the fresh take-home pasta from their deli case, but will grab some next time! Well done! read more

Awesome! The chicken parmesan sandwich is really good. The restaurant is small, and this tends to result in it being a bit noisy. If you can get past that, it's a great place to eat. Definitely going back. read more

Delicious Italian food in a laidback setting. The kale caeser, chicken parm, and the green chili corn ravioli. Everything was delicious and the service exceptional. read more

Difranco's is the best Italian in the Denver metro area, on top of the food being great their investment in the community and support of non profits is another reason to go! read more

Ryan, you go boy! Reciepes are phenominal and customer service is above and beyond. Ryan dispite his being young is mighty fine at his craft, and his calling in life. He some how maintains such a passionate and friendly demeanor when he is around people..... Way to go! Also his staff is always happy :) Good job! read more

We just ate there for lunch, and I have to say that it is the worst Italian eatery that I have ever frequented. I ordered the polenta to start. The balsamic dressing overwhelmed the polenta, and the polenta was stone cold at the top, but hot at the bottom. And the polenta was extremely gritty. Where was the extra virgin olive oil? The fried egg on top was way overcooked and it, too, was cold. Next up was the Chicken Parm...it was O.K., not great. The bread was good but tasteless, and the tomato sauce was a bit too sweet. Finally, the cannoli. What can I say: the absolute worst I've ever had. I don't know what this recent obsession is with adding lemon to the filling. It's a cannoli, not a creme puff. The filling was runny and tasteless. The shell, however, was excellent. Stay away from this place, despite what the other reviewers say. read more

Watermelon and arugula salad is a must order! The braised beef corn ravioli was also delicious with a ton of flavor;)

I went there a while ago and I was not impressed at all!!!... It's like cafeteria style and the food was just the same. :(

Out of this world Alfredo Broccoli Fettuccine! Enjoyed the Arugula Pear salad. Environment may look like a deli the food is delicious!
