Structure parking is available. Signage is limited so its easy to miss. Place your order at the counter than have a seat. The waitress will bring your order. There is a long communal table with two additional tables for four and some limited seating outside underneath umbrellas. The pasta is phenomenal. The menu is seasonal. There is an open kitchen so you may watch your food being prepared. Order the fresh angle hair if you like meatballs and the fresh fettuccine is just as wonderful. Their Italian sparkling beverages are refreshing. The only negative - one person running the register, delivering your order, and busing the tables but will definitely be back. read more

The house wine was gulpable! My absolute fav dish is the sweet pea ravioli paired with the Caesar salad and of course we had to take a bottle of the house wine home. An adorable spot tucked off of Lincoln street. read more

Really, really wonderful food here! It's so good to have a good, authentic italian restaurant nearby. I get cranky if it's been to long without a good plate of spaghetti, just ask my husband! Lovely place and I love the bread. Great for takeout, especially now! read more

DiFrancos has an excellent menu including seasonal offerings - so expect a couple new entres rotating throughout the year. Their lemon ricotta cookies are a great after dinner treat to accompany your meal. Their pasta is made on premises and from the first bite you can taste the homemade goodness. This place rules. It's a little Italian deli with a small, but effective menu. It's not overwhelming which is what we all want! The staff was incredible to us & really made the place cozy. It was my first time here and I was in the area looking for a place for lunch. I found this place on yelped and decided to try it out since so many great reviews and not only that they had a special, you pay $5 and get $10 worth of food. I ordered the penne with the prosciutto vodka sauce. It was amazing. And my company ordered the rigatoni with a side (a la carte of meatball). We tried each other dishes to compare. And I loved both entrees. The meatball was so good. I really like both of the sauces. I'm wondering why I've lived here as long as I have and never knew about this local restaurant. Now I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. read more

Best spaghetti I've had in years! Came to visit Denver from Atlanta, GA and fell in love with the food at DiFranco's. The service was awesomely amazing Lisa(I believe that was her name) took our order and checked on us and gave us history of the restaurant. I know that was a run on sentence, but that's the only way to describe my happiness with DiFranco's. I will be coming back every visit to Colorado! Luz and Kelly made amazing food. These chefs are special. The ambience and fee of DiFranco's is the vibe I want when I open my first restaurant. DiFranco's can teach a lot of restaurants a lesson on how to be excellent in customer service! Eric Williams P.S. AUDIBLECUISINE.com will be launching in January and I will be writing a piece on my experience and Colorado and DiFranco's is a big part of my article for the launch of my site! read more

Just went for another Date Night dinner special. Once again the food was outstanding, especially the sauces. Everyone in my party loved their dishes. I had spaghetti abd chicken parmesan and both were memorable. Another in my family had the shells with pesto and thought they were exquisite. The Date Night social includes a good wine, fresh salad, the end and cannoli for a good price. I'll be back. read more

Phenomenally fresh, straightforward and a total flavor bomb every single time! I continue to return year after year, as I live in California but visit friends in Denver and Fort Collins in either July or August. Their sweet pea ravioli is my favorite, but the years when I've gotten the sweet corn ravioli (if I'm later into the summer season) I'm not disappointed by any means. The atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated in the way they take care of the food in the back, so it makes for a decadent experience whether in the dating scene for a night out or just to grab a wonderful lunch after a stroll or a workout. The portions are PERFECTLY sized to leave you full but not bursting at the seams, and the price point is very approachable for what you get. Highly recommended! read more

Get the chicken parm WITH spaghetti. Just do it. It is so good. and the garlic bread. This is now our favorite Italian food in town!

The hotel that I am staying while I am in town recommended DiFranco's. The homemade pasta was amazing the best I have had in such a long time. It's hard making fresh angel hair pasta which I was surprised to get it here even the homemade penne was very good. The meatballs were super tender and has a lot of flavor. They even have a delivery service so you don't have to drive out to get your food. read more

Small restaurant close to downtown. Counter service, then table delivery. I ordered the angel hair pasta with the spicy red sauce, and added a meatball. Unbelievably tasty. Loved it. Service was simple and pleasant. Pasta is handmade and fresh (I saw it with my own eyes) and tender. Perfect. Couldn't resist ordering cookies for dessert: a chocolate crinkle and a chocolate pistachio. Delicious, homemade cookies. Walking distance to museums, city hall, state capitol, bus routes, etc. read more

I ordered the chicken parm via door dash on a business trip 10/2020. The sauce and the garlic bread are the stand outs of the order. I love a strong garlic flavor on a garlic bread and a bit of a kick to a red sauce. The portion could have fed two. I'll eat the other half for lunch. So glad they were open for dinner! read more

Take hole LasaGna - So heavenly. Every dessert I tried was so rich and incredible also. Loved this so much

So quaint, very delicious! Our highlight definitely has to be Charlie. He was so friendly and did a great job with recommendations and telling us about the weekly special for couples [$50 on Wednesday's, bottle of wine, two entrees, and two salads (don't quote me on this)] The burrata board was simple and delicious. We had the fettuccine, which was good, but came out room temperature and was a tiny bit plain. I ended up putting the extra red sauce I had on it form the egg plant parm we ordered. The sausage and egg plant parm for sides were awesome! However, again, the eggplant parm came out room temp. The atmosphere was nice. Casual, but very busy. We came on a Friday and were lucky to get a spot. Will be making reservations in the future. Yes, definitely coming back. It's a great, unique place to take friends from out of town that want good, fresh food, but not a full sit down service. read more

This place isn't ghastly, hence 2 stars. My partner and I have given this place more than enough tries, 3 to be exact. First, it's helpful to know that the service is minimal. One orders at the counter, and the food is then delivered to the table. The tables and chairs, in keeping with the "deli" theme, aren't all that comfortable, and the atmosphere is surprisingly noisy given its size. Despite this, expect to spend what you would at a full service restaurant, with full portions. Now, to my 3 experiences: The first time, the counter staff was surprisingly rude; we hoped to bypass that problem the second time by ordering to go. Alas, they got the order wrong and I needed to turn around and drive back. This last (why, you might ask, to which I respond, I get desperate for Italian food), the sauce for my partner's fettuccine was so salty it was inedible, the house rose was flat, and my simple salad was ?spicy? There will not be a fourth. read more

I've only had the kale Caesar salad with chicken (three times)--the only three times I've been so far--all last week. It's the best Caesar salad I've ever had: salty, creamy, crisp, fresh, cheesy, a little warm from the grilled chicken and sautéed kale. It's mesmerizing. They are going to take all of my money, because I want to eat that salad all the time. I may not be able to ever order anything other than the Caesar. It's a small place with great service. You walk out smelling a bit like the food; it's like the hood doesn't suck everything out as well as it could. Regardless, I can't stop and won't stop. Might try a sandwich next week or the fresh pastas. read more

These guys know what they're doing. Homemade pasta, locally sourced ingredients- delicious. No tvs, almost deli inside atmosphere, order everything at counter, but great service. Happy hour 2:30-6, Wednesday's $50 "Date Night" ($55 if you takeout) for the spring menu- includes two green salads, two entrees (excluding chicken parm, $2.50 extra for duck ravioli), two cannolis, and bottle of house white or red wine. Everything was so delicious: we had the shells w italian sausage, spaghetti and meatball, and choco chip cannolis! We also added the oil dip which is fresh ciabatta bread & olive oil/balsamic mix (all apps $2 off during HH). read more

Difrancos is some of the best Italian food in Denver. Such a cute location and the food is almost amazing.

Love love LOVE this restaurant! A coworker showed it to me and I've been back at least 3 times a week for lunch since and the whole office is hooked. We love that it fills you up but since they use fresh and local ingredients you don't feel bogged down and crash afterwards. They have a great lunch special. The food is fresh and delicious, no matter what you get. I'm usually the person who gets the same thing every time, but I've tried a different thing each time I've been there and now I can't decide what to get because they are all my favorite! I am also known to stop in for an afternoon snack of Italian soda with fresh herbs and some fluffy lemon ricotta cookies. Can't wait to come in and try their date night special! read more

My boyfriend and I had take out from here tonight for dinner and we were thoroughly impressed! Firstly, the service was prompt and the meal was prepped on time. Second, the food was absolutely fresh and delicious. I had the Penne Pasta with gluten free fettuccine subbed in. It was hands-down the best gluten-free pasta I have ever eaten! The sauce was delicious and the tomatoes and basil were super fresh. I would definitely eat a gluten free meal again. My boyfriend ordered the potato gnocchi and he LOVED it! The flavors were mellow but definitely on point. The portions were appropriate and healthy-sized. If you're expecting American-sized portions, you might be upset but we found the meals to be perfect and filling. We'll definitely be returning! read more

We ordered for takeout, so I already had low expectations. Unfortunately, whoever put what we ordered in the bag... put 2 heavy cans of pop on top of the food boxes. When we got home our 3 containers of food were smashed together into a disgusting mess. Gluten free pasta was over cooked and all of the noodles were stuck together. I would have sympathy if this was a year ago, but restaurants have now had a full year to get used to delivery and takeout only. read more

Insanely rude customer service. I placed a to-go order, & when I came to pick it up it wasn't ready. Totally fine, I want to see if I have time to run across the street & ask about how much longer. The employee goes off on a rant about how food takes as long as it does to cook. When I clarify that I'm not trying to rush them, only get an estimate, she says "I don't know" and walks off. The cooks were 5 ft away. Will not be supporting this business anymore & will be recommending my friends don't go as well. read more

After visiting DiFranco's and ordering online several times I think it's safe to say that DiFranco's has seriously good Italian food! Their spaghetti and meatballs is delicious and a very large serving in my opinion. The meatball sandwich is also really tasty. A definite must try if you're in the mood for Italian food! read more

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time today using a delivery service. Pasta dishes for spaghetti and one meatball averaged $15. When the food arrived the portions were very small and the pasta was overcooked (gooey). I was very disappointed with the food. Since this was the first time ordering from this restaurant I phoned to discuss my concerns with the manager (Charlie). Charlie seemed to blame the delivery service for not delivering promptly and apologized that I was not happy with food but offered no other compensation or future replacement. If Di Franco's knows that the quality of its food suffers with delivery, they should not offer a delivery option. $45 for three small orders of pasta is much more than pasta should cost but if I am going to pay this amount at least I would expect that the portion be adequate, the pasta be cooked correctly and that the manager would take steps to insure that issues are appropriately addressed. None of this happened. I am Italian and previously owned an Italian eatery...this is not what I would expect from a reputable Italian restaurant. Sorry to have to write this negative review. read more
