I've been to this location twice and don't think I'll be coming back. The most recent trip was extremely disappointing. My mom and I were shopping for a pair of golf pants but she couldn't find her size or any other pants that fit her needs. So naturally we sought out some assistance. I could not find one sales associate. Frustration quickly set in. My mom finally flagged down an associate but rather than stopping to ask how she could help she walked right by my mom, made eye contact with me and walked away. Now I'm starting to get mad. I see someone at the register and ask if she can help. She asked me if there was someone in that area that could help (I wish I could've just thrown out an eye roll emoji), after I explained that the only other associate just walked by us without a word. She then proceeded to ignore me and started talking to the associate who ignored us, all that to say we received no help from them. At this point my mom and I were just about fed up with the lack of respect and customer service. On our way out I found another associate and asked him if he was a manager, he replied with a short, "No." I asked if he could call a manager over which he did, to my surprise. Now I should mention this associate saw my mom and I walk into his store and not once greeted or asked if he could be of assistance. Another win Dick's. The manager came over looking confused. I explained the situation and he continued to stand there dumbfounded. He then asked if I caught the names of the associates, I told him I didn't and then he said, "Okay I'll talk with them."That's it. Now I was the one standing dumbfounded. No apologies, no sincerity, no hint that he heard or even cared. Lol, really? Guys, save your time and your money. It just isn't worth the headache. read more

I am a tactile guy who prefers to shop in stores as opposed to online. It was very disappointing that not only did that not carry female lacrosse gear their men's lacrosse gear was much more expensive than Amazon. They also had a poor selection of cleats for girls. I frequent Dick Sports because it's in a convenient location and it carries a good range of products. This has been my go-to place to pick up random stuff, including baseball mitts, flag football cones and flags, folding chairs, camping gear, athletic wear, weight lifting gloves, snorkel masks, flip flops and weights. This is a fairly hidden store and probably not visible from Foothill. It's the former Chicks, and I'm giving it a good rating for 2 reasons. 1) This store at least gives you an alternative to Golfsmith. Chicks stopped carrying golf equipment shortly after Golfsmith in Pasadena opened, but it's nice to have another store in the area to compaison shop for golf equipment. 2) I was looking for something that was off-season, and a very friendly employee fished around in the back and found what I was looking for. i don't frequent sporting goods stores that much. when i go, it's for something specific. like a bike. or to check out stuff to see if i like it, then i go online. 15 min tops. but i was forced against my will to go there with a friend, and found myself in the women's clothing section. to my dismay, i liked everything on the racks. 15 min tops turned into more than an hr. eek. now if you are emo punkrock, go elsewhere for this is way too sunny for you. the clothing here is more surfer california/hippie..i've been in that mode ever since summer hit. they have every comfy beach sandal, bikini, and i fell in love with their santiki clothing line..very bohemian chic and very affordable. of course they have roxy, volcom etc. but i go for the more obscure brands. if you're having trouble finding the perfect summer dress, come here and it'll always be a hit. you'll be paying more here than forever 21 (31 in my case) but the clothes won't come apart at the seams after summer's over! i give it 1 less star bc i wish there were better sale items..but even still, for me it is indeed a great "chick"'s sporting goods store! read more

Fitting rooms are dirty, run down, walls stained, carpets are in dire need of replacing and the doors to fitting rooms are ALWAYS locked. Can't even flag down an associate to unlock the doors. Fitting rooms stink like wet dirty filthy animals. Fitting room experience killed it for me and there's ONLY two! I'd rather order online. That is all. read more

Nice and large location with all your sporting good needs. I came for some active wear shorts and a volleyball. Their inventory is very diverse with name brands like Nike and Reebok to more affordable brands like champion. Picked up two nike shorts for a great deal. Also, found a perfect soft touch volleyball by Mikasa. Also went to check out their running shoes since I was there. They could use more help back there. Couldn't find anyone to check if they had my size in the back. Just what I was looking for. This is a very well organized location. Had no problems finding what I needed. Lots of parking outside. Though this plaza is generally very crowded on the weekends. read more

They seem to have a lot of every kind of sports stuff on the planet but NO ONE TO HELP YOU, cryptic changing locations to try clothes on with long waits for them to open the doors to do it, and LONG LONG LONG LONG checkout lines UGGGHHHH.... ALso, why do you have 100 different kinds of tank tops for women but only TWO kinds for men. Some of us like tank tops to work out in and yes it is winter but THIS IS CALIFORNIA!! ITS 70 DEGREES TODAY! Dont tell me that it is a "seasonal" summer product when we live in California and yet have OODLES of tank tops for women. Everyone also looks like they just hate working there. Like a mausoleum in there.... They have potential but just carry the basics too not just the minutia products of every sport in the world :( read more

Ok went into Dick's Sporting Goods to get a kayak that was advertised on sale. Not sure which one to buy when a guy named Jason Hope asks if I need help. I am a woman in my late fifties and told him I was looking for a good kayak for a beginner. He treated me with respect and pointed out all the features and benefits of the kayaks that were displayed. Recommended the one I should buy as a novice, went on to show me the paddle and how I should choose one for my size. He said I should get a life vest to go with the kayak and showed me how to choose one for a correct fit. He also pointed out the dry sacks and boxes available to hold my personal identification and keep from getting wet. I told him when I come back to purchase I want to be sure he gets his commission. He said that is not necessary, he is salaried. WHAT?!? This is customer service at its best. So if you are looking for anything at Dick's Sporting, ask for Jason. He will point you in the right direction. He is knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Nike's products are great. Are they $100 worth great? Sure as long as the pair you buy isn't damaged. The pair of free runs I bought from the store upon further examination after I had worn them (basically voiding the return policy), revealed markings on the shoes that could not be removed. Pay $100+ for damaged goods? Not quite worth it. To top it off, it took quite some time to find someone free to hep me get the shoes...not the best way to spend a Benjamin. read more

I usually go here for all of my sporting goods. That is about to change. The cashiers are super nice and helpful, but the floor staff sucK. I was just in there and to get buy cleats for my daughter. I watched two employees talk and text with each other for 10 minutes while we were the only people in the shoe department. The employee wasn't very excited to have to go out of his way to get shoes for me. I guess I will just take my chances with Amazon from now on. At least the delivery drivers are friendly. read more

I came here to buy a standard workout bench. When I got home there were a couple issues. I took it back and asked the manager, Jeff, to Open another workout bench box and look at each item. He graciously and happily did so. I give these guys high marks for making a frustrated customer more than happy. They took the time to resolve the issue and make it right. This dicks use to be our to go store but we have been having issues just in this month of Dec. First off we order something online and the package came all beat up as if it got tossed and kicked around before it got delivered. Then someone has been making purchases with our credit card. I think it's an inside job because they made purchases and when we changed our credit cards with our bank a few days later someone made purchases with our new credit card. How tf is that possible?! Went in to buy some wrestling shoes for my son and some other items needed for wrestling season. First, I have not been a fan due to the horrible customer service in the last couple of years. My son and I stood in the shoe department for about 20 minutes with no assistance and the store was slow on a Saturday. Two employees walked by us and one walked by us twice did not bother to assist us. One guy even looked at us and kept walking by. I looked to see if he was with a customer, nope. We decided to leave. From here on I WILL NOT shop at Dicks ever again! I will either go online or go to a mom and pop sports store. I will gladly pay a little extra for people who care about customer service. Ever since they changed over from Chick's, I appreciate the added inventory for other sports - specifically golf. The store is clean, and there's usually a pretty good selection of baseball gear as well. Everything is reasonably priced (for a brick and mortar), and the shoe section has plenty of options. read more

I asked the kind man if there is a store manager to speak with he called the manager but they did not want to get off their butt to bother to help or see what the client needed. This review is for the bike repair section of Dick's. Dave (I think that was his name) was so helpful and fixed my bike tire for $10 and some change. I'm pretty sure had I gone to a bike shop it would have been more expensive and I would have been treated like an idiot as I've experienced in the past. Dave (the guy with a big beard) was such a gentleman and had it ready in no time. When I came to pick it up he was friendly and even saved the staple that had caused my tire tube to deflate. He chatted me up about my bike (he's very knowledgeable) and was such a positive, nice guy. Thanks, Dave!! read more

Be careful, customers! Once you buy anything here (Dick's Pasadena, CA), it is very hard to return it and get your money back even if you bring it with the receipt within 15 days. I had bought iron grill and used once, they would not help me. I had emailed Dick's corporate customer services 3 times and never heard a word from them or got an Email reply. Moreover, the most items they carry are made in China but still very pricey. I will not recommend this store to anyone I care. read more

If I go just to get something I need, this store is sufficient. If I need ANY form of customer service, forget this place! It took me over 15 minutes to get someone to open the darn fitting room. This was 15+ minutes after they acknowledged that I was waiting...they couldn't find the key on ANY of their workers. The golf department has an tall/older man who seems to be cranky and can throw an attitude which NOBODY needs. On the positive side, the cyclist department was excellent when I came in to pick up my bikes & also to fix some flats. read more

I love to shop here and always end up buying more than I planned on. Used some of my coupons received in the mail and saved over $20. The merchandise is always well stocked with plenty of selection. The is always helpful and friendly. Parking is good, so you can get in and out of fast. From time to time, there will be a good sale here. Do I shop here a lot? Nope but I like the way this store is laid out. The store is laid out nicely by each department and you can easily find what you need to look for or just browsing around as this store is big enough for all type of sports need. There are plenty of employees here to help you with what you need. A good time to come would be to get on their email list so you know what deals are out there as they only have deals at certain times. You should also apply for free to be a rewards member as you earn a certain amount of gift card after a certain amount spent here. Though sometimes this place could be a bit expensive as compared to other places, the best time to come is when the sales are happening. Definitely one of the better sporting goods store to check out besides Sport Chalet or Big 5 which I feel Dick's is better than both. read more

I bought a foldable wagon online. I checked Store stock first to make sure they had the item. (I needed it later that day). I get an email about an hour later saying that they're getting my order ready. I get another email 10 minutes later cancelling my order due to "availability". OK. That happens. Sometimes stock doesn't match what's on the computer. I get it. I go to another store 3 doors down and bought one there instead. As I'm leaving the parking lot I cross in front of Dicks and BEHOLD!!! There are ten of them sitting on the sidewalk in front of the store. Their email said they would live to help me find an alternative yet I didn't receive a call or an email. I sent them an email explaining exactly what I am saying here. I received an auto response saying that they will address it and be in touch. BEHOLD!!! Another false statement. Be careful when you deal with Dicks. You'd be better off going elsewhere. (I had a much better closing sentence planned but thought a play on the name would be in poor taste.) read more

It may be hard to find a sales associate on the floor other than the cashiers in front, but the staff is altogether is very friendly and willing to help. We talked to one of the staff people about getting our snowboards tuned up and although he advised that it may not get done in the time that we need it, he will put it in for repair and helped us look the schedule of their snowboard technician. It was my first time coming to Dick's, and I'm glad that there is an alternative to the sports chalet, REI, and sports authority stores out there. By the way, all Dick's sporting goods stores have onsite snowboard tuning available. read more

This place was really big and the greater in the front of the store was really nice. We didnt buy anything because they didnt have the color of sox we needed, but on the way to the sox section we saw a few things that really caught our eye. One thing that I despise doing is leaving bad reviews. But something that should be noted, is that the football selection is messy, unorganized and It's quite difficult to find certain products. The staff do not know where anything is and are very useless. I asked two employees where I could find mouth guards and neither of them could help me.
