BASS PRO SHOPS HAS MY WHOLE HEART!!! WOW. Just wow. Coming here has been a dream of mine, and it somehow exceeded all my expectations. I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. Bass pro shops is just an amazing place in general. The whole store is absolutely awesome, they literally have everything for everyone. You can take the kids to see the aquarium and fish, they have great taxirdermy animals from deer to bears to foxes and lions. Anything you need for the outdoors it's at Bass Pro. We tried the food there for the first time. I got the fish and chips and some sides. The fish and chips were great, the fries were hard as a rock, the gator bites with the dip was delicious and the spinach dip was just ok. Cold, refreshing beer and the service was great. It is on the expensive side when it comes to all the pricing but the quality is definitely all there and for the most part worth it. It's worth stopping by if ever in the area. read more

Dont go here unless you dont want to be helped and lied to by the manager. Went here to spend $1000 plus on a shotgun. Their TV shows all their associates "here to service you" and shows 6 plus associates but yet theres only 2 people working the counter? My name was clearly on the screen, i was next up but then someone came to the counter asking for help, and instead of following the que, he skipped me and went straight to the customer that skipped the proper line. Then when I speak to the manager she just comes up with excuses for everyone instead of asking how she can make things right or better. I will never in my life shop at bass pro ever again, and ill make sure everyone im close to does the same. Truth be told, this place reminds me of another alternate but similar-ish store to Buc-ee's with all the clothes and snacks. Like this is our version of it on the west coast LOL. Obviously, Buc-ee's is better. But this is the best we got out here. This location in Rancho has a RESTAURANT inside that serves GATOR MEAT!!!! & a fudge kiosk along with other snacks! Like how cool is that! I gotta try the restaurant!!! And this store has more camping and outdoor gear than Buc-ee's which is more focused on gas and being more a convenience/grocery store with BBQ brisket and pulled pork sandwiches galore yummmm. Bass Pro has huge boats, fishing poles, guns (yikes), cowboy boots, tents, shooting/gaming area & even taxidermy. Lots of it, which is fascinating to look at all over. Plus the mini waterfall and bridge inside with elevators. It's crazy y'all! The ceiling in here is huge as well! My only gripe was how long it took to get my pickup order (some $10 chair) at the front entrance, and that my order wasn't all ready for pickup at the same time (I had to come here twice). Took forever and a day. Geez. OK like 20 ish mins to 30. So it was awhile still. They gotta pick up some speed please! Recruit others to help you, staff! Don't make your customers wait so long. Time for an updated review. This is specifically about their gun department. I'd give a BIG ZERO. So they finally added this device so you can check in and everyone can have their place in line and be called in order. My husband and I went there on a regular old Wednesday. Who would have thought that we not only would have waited over 30 minutes still, but also NEVER been helped...yes, even on a Wed. There were two employees, but a couple of other employees came over to do something really quickly, but then quickly left without saying anything. It appeared that the two customers that the main two employees were helping were actually buying something, so OK, there's paperwork to fill out, etc. The horrendous part is...we're standing there for the entire 30+ minutes and NEITHER employee (nor the other two employees who cam over really quickly) ever said, "Thanks for waiting, someone will be with you as soon as we can", never one acknowledgement of our presence ever. It actually seemed like they were hoping we'd walk away, which we finally did. They all need to be fired for lack of customer serivce/people skills. I've been in my share of customer service jobs and I never, ever, ever would have never not acknowledged a customer who's obviously waiting. I finally kindly asked one of the other employees who was in/out quickly if someone was ever going to help us. He said something real quick as he's walking off, but of course he never came back. Fun games upstairs, fish tanks while you escalate to the second level. Fishing section is straight back. Archery and shoes are upstairs. Restrooms are right by the entrance to the right hand side. Mobilized wheelchairs are available for shoppers in need of assistance. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Always a fun stop when looking for some camping items. First off, I gotta give credit where credit is due. Shout out to "GISELLE" working at the customer service area 3/25/2026. I had an issue with finding a rod, and she helped get what I needed . Before I went to " GISELLE" at customer service at the store , I was on the phone with an outfitter from the BPS customer service number and they couldn't help me. They tried but they just couldn't fulfill my needs. Customer service here is great , especially at the fishing area. Outfitters there are quite knowledgeable but on a busy day, they could be under staffed. Great place to shop, even better when they have a sale, kids love this place so bring them , and they will be entertained. Definitely will be back if I can't find what I'm looking for at the mom and pops tackle stores. read more

I have been a loyal Bass Pro Shops customer for years, but my experience at the Victoria Gardens location on 7/18/26 around 12:00 PM was extremely disturbing. While an older employee wearing a black button up shirt was feeding the fish, he approached two young girls (approximately 5-7 years old) in our family and repeatedly told them how "pretty" they were. The girls became visibly uncomfortable and hid behind their family members. Instead of recognizing that they were uncomfortable, he laughed and said, "Look at them, they're shy. I still got it." What made the situation even more unsettling was that the employee continued following the family around different areas of the store afterward. Whether his intentions were innocent or not, his behavior made everyone uncomfortable and created an environment where we no longer felt at ease. As a parent or family member, hearing an older employee make comments like that toward young children and then continue following them around the store is completely inappropriate. It was disrespectful to the parents who were standing right there, made everyone uncomfortable, and was simply gross and unprofessional. Bass Pro Shops should be a place where families feel safe bringing their children. This employee's conduct was unacceptable and has permanently tainted my experience at this location. I hope management reviews this incident and addresses it appropriately so no other family has to experience something like this. read more

Had a great experience at Bass Pro Shops thanks to Paul in the archery department. My father-in-law and I came in with a bow we purchased there, and Paul went above and beyond helping us get it sighted in and shooting accurately. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole process. Black Friday Sale. This place is very busy lots of decent sales through out the store. Unpacked up a few things that were on sale and a few things that weren't. The line to checkout went to the backlog the store by the fishing department. They had the majority of the registers open and the line went pretty fast. I can't complain I saved a few dollars and felt that it was well worth waiting in line for under 20 minutes. They have all your outdoor needs. read more

PARENTS & FAMILY WITH YOUNG CHILDREN BEWARE!! We had a disturbing experience today at Bass Pro Shops around 12:13PM on 7/18. We walked in to Bass Pro Shops and I informed my family that they have a bass tank and a small waterfall into it. We went over to take a look and were greeted by an older man, informing us that they would be feeding the fish at 12PM, followed by allowing the kids to feed the trout shortly after, and to stick around. He then interacted with our two girls informing them. This isn't the issue. It was 12PM and time to feed the Bass, he greets the girls again and proceeds with the demonstration, we make our way over to feed the trout. After feeding the trout, he comes up to our girls and their two cousins, ages 5-7 mind you. He says to them "Girls, I really want to thank you. It's been a while since 4 pretty girls helped me". All 4 girls became shy. He then smiled and said "Now they're shy and smiling, I still got it". This is the issue. I don't need to explain why this is problematic, creepy, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. He later found us again and asked one of our girls if she was following him. You can bet I told the nearest employee, I didn't catch her name, she informed us she would notify the Store Manager. However, I will also do my part to make sure others are aware of this creepy experience. If someone is comfortable to tell little girls in front of their mothers that they still got it? Then what else? I will also be filing a formal complaint. read more

Summer Spring Winter Fall! They have got it all! This wilderness themed shop has a wide array of hunting, fishing, camping, shooting and a bit of other stuff like outdoor recreational rides. I came in not knowing what to expect but came out with a boat load of stuff one can give out for Christmas presents or some kind of special occasion. Well at least in my case. Two floors of endless cool stuff and a nifty little elevator that was an open to see the mini waterfall as you go up. Plenty of staff everywhere and some of them are helpful and some seem to shy away from questions or at least that's what it seems to me. So so, so disappointed bass pro shop is always my place to go to for my fishing gear. Fishing poles reels some of the bait all of my tackle needs.. got my husband's fishfinder from here in a few other essentials for the boat . The only thing is the line at that counter when purchasing a new rod or real as always await, they have got to get more people in, but the young man that assisted us was so energetic and just full of joy and you could tell he enjoyed his job, that was wonderful. 10/20/24 This is a wonderland & a happy place for people who enjoy the Great Outdoors! The search is on for Hubby's fins/flippers for swimming & we got lucky. They do have a few selections here. Hubby searched while wandered to the waterfall in the middle of this huge store. I pleasantly surprised to find live fish on their water features! As I mentioned, this store is huge, massive! There are ATVs, boats INSIDE, not just one but several on the showroom. For everything outdoor related, they have it with a great amount of selections. The staff are super friendly & helpful. Stopped by this weekend to purchase some more range ammo since we were already in the area. We were first in line when we got to the ammo department. Over the course of the next 20 minutes, different Bass Pro employees approached and assisted EVERY customer (at least 3) behind us while we were completely ignored. Decided to cut our losses and left after that. Now, of course there's no way to know for certain why we of all customers were ostracized but the obvious pattern made it feel less like poor customer service and more like racial bias. This store has an average of 3.2/5 on Yelp for a reason. Search "ammo" or "gun" in the other reviews here and you'll see why you should avoid this place for your firearm needs. I can't speak on any other department aside from the ammo counter but this experience alone is enough for me to never step foot in another Bass Pro Shops. There are plenty of other local businesses you can support that will acknowledge your existence. Greeter at the store entrance was nice, though. read more

My husband wanted to stop by to check out the fishing area, but I was more interested in how clean this location is!! We're glad this place is dog friendly, we were able to bring our poodle here and our poodle loved walking around for a stroll. This is a nice place to take your kids to so they can be entertained by the large fish aquarium, the ponds with live fish, anything outdoor supplies!! We call it the "outdoor store." One of the largest Bass Pro Shops I have ever seen!! They had a lot of sales going on and a lot of items on marked down. We spent most of our time in the (fishing) section. Unfortunately, the items we were looking for they did not have and this store was definitely understaffed. We did pick up some of the beef jerky that was on sale. Everyone behind the gun counter is too incompetent to complete any action on their own they all constantly need to ask for help. They weren't able to answer any of my questions with certainty, this is by far the least experienced I have any seen any gun store employees and it's basically all of them. Waited for an hour standing with a broken leg while I watch four people help one customer not to mention there was only one other person in front of me in line and at least five workers behind the gun counter. Most of them are clueless to the process of purchasing a firearm so they need to constantly ask for help and they constantly hit problems they simply can't solve on their own. Compared to any other gun store I've shopped at the ability of these people to drag out an already long process directly cause by slow moving, lazy and incompetent employees is truly amazing. I will never buy anything here again the untrained incompetent people behind the counter make an already hard process pretty much impossible. I had a really frustrating experience at Bass Pro Shop today. I waited almost two hours at the ammo counter just to be helped. When it was finally my turn, the employee refused to even run the California ammo eligibility check on my driver's license. The reason? My license shows my city as "Rancho Cucamo" instead of spelling out "Rancho Cucamonga." This is a standard DMV abbreviation because the full city name is too long to fit on the license. Instead of simply running the check and letting the system decide, the employee said he didn't want to process it because the city wasn't spelled out fully. Waiting that long just to be turned away for something printed by the DMV was extremely frustrating. I understand stores have to follow California laws, but refusing to even try the check after a two-hour wait felt unprofessional and like a waste of a customer's time. Hopefully Bass Pro Shop improves training and customer service at the ammo counter so others don't have to deal with the same experience. read more
