List of Golf Services as of Spring 2021
    Dante C.

It is convenient having a fully stocked, full-service golf store in the area after Golfsmith closed up its shop in Ontario. Golf Galaxy is owned by the same company as Dick's Sporting Goods across the street. Their biggest competition is Roger Dunn Golf Shops (owned by Worldwide Golf), which you can find about ten miles away in Rancho Cucamonga. I was in the market for a new driver, so I dropped by for a fitting. The technician was a young man who had been fitting clubs for only about a year, but he was capable of answering questions, providing different equipment and components, operating the swing lab, and offering knowledgeable advice. The fitting was $70. You get a write-up of your data and a sales pitch. If you choose to buy within 30 days, your $70 will go towards your purchase. My four-star rating is based on the overall store. The customer service is good, but the store itself is large and unfriendly. There's not the variety of merchandise that I've seen in other golf shops. In comparison, the Roger Dunn Superstore in Tustin is bigger, but the store itself feels friendlier. Likewise, the Roger Dunn store in Rancho Cucamonga is smaller but friendlier. I encourage golfers to see for themselves. I have posted pictures of the services currently available at Golf Galaxy in Upland.

Needed new grips, called to see if they were in stock. A young lady answered and although she didn't seem very knowledgeable, she was still able to answer whether they carried what I needed. I was a bit hesitant on driving 30 mins out but it was well worth it. Golf services are located in the far back right corner. We were greeted by Ed, amazing Ed! I told him what I was interested in which, were the Winn grips we went back and forth and decided I should try Golf Pride Because ultimately this brand lasted longer. While Ed gripped my club, I walked around and found a cute Ping hat! 10 mins later I was out! Thanks again Ed!

The best discount store in PDX area before heading back to Canada. They were golfsmith, a sister company to Golf Town Canada.

He opened it on 12/25, but we didn't actually use it until mid-January. On his very first use, the coffee spilled all over him because the lid was cracked. I tried to avoid driving an hour back to the store, so I searched everywhere online for a replacement lid but couldn't find anything even remotely close. My last option was to return to the store to see if they would replace the defective lid. Unfortunately, I was told the return/exchange window had passed by just three days (01/15), and the employee refused to help. He even called the manager, who also said there was nothing they could do. When I asked where I could buy a replacement lid, the employee didn't know and mentioned that other customers have had the same issue with this type of lid -- which makes this even more concerning. To make matters worse, the only solution offered was for me to buy another insulated cup. That felt like a slap in the face considering the one I bought was defective. Because this was a Christmas gift, it sat in a gift bag for a while, which caused the defect to be discovered too late. For a store to refuse to help over three days, especially right after Christmas, is unreasonable and poor customer service. I will not be shopping at this location again.

I had absolutely no clue as to what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to see the inside of this massive space that was maximized to the T with racks and walls stocked with merchandise. Extra wide shoes - np! Size 14, 13 & women's shoes - yes!! Nice selection. Golf shirts in brilliant colors and styles and up to a 2X - hole in one! Shorts for all in every style and color - Si! Plenty of comfortable seats and try on stations all over the floor- nice!!! No stress take your time shopping with everything spread out- indeed!! All these at fantastic prices!! ( receipt photo). My hats off to cashier Tracie who was so patient and kind. She opened a Dick's account for me and was absolutely thorough, professional and efficient. The folks in front of me had 2 carts full of shoes; I am guessing at least 36 pairs that they picked up. The great thing - there were 2 employees on the floor bringing out more shoes from the back and sticking. Loved it! Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. Anyway, maybe I'm looking back at the history of streetwear with rose-tinted glasses, but there's no denying that the fact that a place like Kings can still thrive despite the fact that a lot of boutiques I used to frequent have either shifted to online exclusively or just shuttered their doors permanently is respectable. The fact that you can still walk into a place like this and get some sick drip without playing bullshit games and waiting for drops or buying bots to cop shit is something I truly appreciate. The staff is cool as always and if anything, their selection has improved over the years and they've definitely stepped up (heh) their shoe game as well. Anyway, my very long drawn out point is that Kings is still king when it comes to finding streetwear locally with an excellent selection. They carry all the brands; new and old. It's like Costco. You definitely aren't walking outta there with just a $5 rotisserie chicken. You're gonna walk outta there with a whole ass wardrobe if you haven't gone shopping in a VERY long time, like me.

What I ended up getting was far more than I expected. The return was seamless and enlightening. All of the employees are so fun, friendly and knowledgeable. I met one young woman who asked if I needed help finding anything. I was looking for packs in the used section but she explained they go quick. I meandered around the store and bumped into her again. I asked her where the packs are and she showed me a large range. Since I'm looking somewhere in the 40-55L range she said she would get someone to help me. Initially I declined having help but she also mentioned a fitting. I had never had a backpack fitting so I accepted the help. Alyssa was amazing!!! She measured my spine and from there helped me find a pack. I learned I have a short torso. Makes sense and my waist is close to my chest so now I was able to find a pack that would sit appropriately on my hips (ilac crest). She was a wealth of knowledge. It was a wonderful visit. I definitely recommend this store if you want to find good deals in store or if you want to buy online and pickup in store.
