He's a fantastic presenter who shared meaningful, practical information in a way that was easy to understand and genuinely engaging. Lux has a fun personality, and his passion for backpacking is absolutely contagious. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and he was clearly born to teach this class. BASS PRO SHOPS HAS MY WHOLE HEART!!!…read more WOW. Just wow. Coming here has been a dream of mine, and it somehow exceeded all my expectations. I came with my partner after spending the day at the outlets near Palm Springs. We arrived pretty close to closing, and even then, it was such an amazing experience. I finally got the Bass Pro hats I've been dreaming about, and honestly, this is one of the coolest stores I've ever been in. They literally have everything for the outdoors; fishing, camping, road trips, hiking... if you need it, they probably have it. They even sell boats! There was a shooting range, archery equipment, grills, snacks, a restaurant, sweets, and so much more. I could have spent hours exploring. And the prices?! An absolute STEAL!! I was shocked seeing hats for $5.99 and $9.99. How?! We also grabbed their BBQ chips, and they were chef's kiss. The employees were very friendly. The cashier who helped us was incredibly kind. She did spend quite a while helping the customer in front of us, and my partner and I were joking that it looked like love at first sight between them. It made for a funny moment while we waited. One important heads-up: Apple Pay is currently not working. When we visited on July 3, 2026, the cashier told us it might not be fixed for a few months. If you usually rely on Apple Pay, I'd recommend calling ahead or bringing a physical credit or debit card just in case. Overall, I absolutely loved this place and can't wait to come back. Came in last Saturday morning and met George who worked there and asked if he could help me. George was so enthusiastic that we were buying knives and helped us select one that was right for us and we needed his help because we've never bought a pocket knife before. We were buying knives because we took a 4 hour survival skills class in Pasadena the weekend before and were told everyone needs to have a good knife on them. One of my superintendents at work told me to get a knife from military surplus with a compass on the top and that comes with a stone for sharpening the knife. Unfortunately they didn't carry the compass knife but I was able to get a good one for under $30. I have to mention that we learned more from George in 20 minutes than we did in 4 hours at the survival skills class. He's very knowledgeable about knives, outdoor survival and camping gear. Honestly, we were 3 ladies and it's intimidating just walking into a military surplus store, but George made us feel really comfortable and he was really fun to talk to/learn from about knives and survival skills. He let us know we have to get really comfortable with using our knife like it's an extra limb that way we don't freeze up in case of emergency. We told him he needs to teach a class on this and have his own line of knives. I ended up getting a Marine brand knife, a sharpening stone and a whistle with a compass and a flint on it and it was worth it.

My husband coaches youth basketball for i9 Sports and was buying equipment for his team. At checkout, the cashier immediately said the coupon looked fake without even taking the time to look at it. The coupon literally linked back to Dick's Sporting Goods' website. When we asked if a manager could review it, we were told the manager wouldn't honor it either. After spending time shopping and filling our cart, we left feeling dismissed and frustrated. Both stores have great selections, but focusing on this one.. you'll find a wide variety of shoes, solid clothing options in different materials for different professions, and plenty of cool accessories like flashlights, knives, and even t-shirts you can wear outside of work. The shop itself is very clean and well kept. The only downside is the employees can be hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get someone super helpful, and other times you might catch a bit of attitude depending on the day. Overall though, if you're looking for a one-stop shop to grab everything you need for work or if you're just into knives and gear; this is the place to check out.
