We went to Dick's Sporting Goods in Upland on Father's Day specifically because of a 20% off coupon that was emailed to us by Dick's and clearly stated it was valid 6/19-6/22. My husband coaches youth basketball for i9 Sports and was buying equipment for his team. At checkout, the cashier immediately said the coupon looked fake without even taking the time to look at it. The coupon literally linked back to Dick's Sporting Goods' website. When we asked if a manager could review it, we were told the manager wouldn't honor it either. After spending time shopping and filling our cart, we left feeling dismissed and frustrated. Terrible service. Called for availability on a yeti cooler also asked if they would price match from yeti website and they said yes. I ended up driving almost an hour for them to tell me that they can't price match from yeti. Won't ever come back here they have terrible customer service I ended up going to Bass Pro and they price matched the cooler I wanted. read more

If you want a bike, this location is amazing. Make sure you see Chris. He took utmost care to ensure that our bike was adjusted and fitted our son perfectly. We took home a mongoose BMX bike and so happy with the results after he took time to make sure that it was perfectly fitted for our son & patiently answered questions/made adjustments & removed pegs for us. This is the first time I've been to this store. My husband was pretty much dragging me in here to try on some sneakers I've been needing to purchase and have been avoiding it. Thankfully Alison was super beyond helpful and friendly!! I felt like we were in and out so quick I was so happy I went. I really hate being I stores and this was such a great shopping experience. I ended up choosing the men's Hokas. I had mentioned to Alison that I tend to like the men's shoes and I tried on both men's and women's Hokas and Brooks but the men's Hokas were the winners!! I'm thrilled my new shoes will arrive in a couple of days and I can break them in!! Was a painless experience other than the pain in our checkbook! Hahaha!! If I could give zero stars, I would. The customer service at this location was terrible, which explains why the store was almost empty. I drove 15 miles after being referred from another store where the staff was very helpful, but unfortunately, they did not have the item I needed. At this location, however, the employees were simply walking around or talking among themselves. When I finally got someone to assist me, he had no idea how to help and made no effort to find a solution. He just said, "We don't have it," or "I've never seen those here." At the other store, employees were at least scanning items and trying to help me find the right one. That level of effort was completely missing here. They claim their new return policy only allows 30 days or they only give the lowest sell rate, even with a receipt. Don't shop at this garbage store. This was my first time in this store. I hadn't been in here since Chick's turned into Dick's actually. I came here yesterday with the intention of buying me a 2024 LA Dodgers World Championship hat. They did not have the one I wanted. That's OK. Naturally, I love sports stores. So I looked around. I am an avid LA Kings hockey fan, so I tried looking for Kings items. It was very limited here. But, since it was my daughter's birthday and we have two events we will be going to, they had two of the black Fanatics Kings jerseys and one was a men's medium. So I purchased this for her! This was not an item she was expecting. It was $135 plus tax. I didn't care about the price since it was for her 25th birthday! For a newer jersey it seemed like a good value. I went to the store today at around noon to return a gift that did not fit which was purchased from Dicks. Sadie she said her name was seemed to be put out when I asked for store credit. I told her it was a gift and she said she could not return without a receipt. I asked for store credit and her scanner was not working. I typed in the numbers on Dicks website to show her its sold at their store and asked if she could do the same. She stated they could not type in the numbers. I said it is not the customers fault your barcode is not working. She made no effort to assist me. She was very rude and unhelpful. She had a an attitude from start to finish. If you dont like your job, quit. I went to the warehouse down the parking lot and the gentleman there TYPED in the numbers and gave me the option of store credit. So clearly its not policy like she was implying its a unwant to do her job. Dicks employees at this location have been proven over and over to be the least helpful and most entitled in the past several months. I just left the store. There is a sign on the door that says everyone is welcome basically, but as a female customer I felt I was just ignored by the staff. Went to buy my husband a golf gift and no one was around to help, no one came and asked if so needed help, even though at one point a group of three workers were talking about the Super Bowl and did not even greet me or ask if I needed help. I see why the store is so dead and empty. Later I saw a man being helped in the golf department, after I was ignored. I will never come here again and will drive out to a further location. read more

Came in to get some football equipment for my son. Had a hard time finding the right size for his pads. One of the employees, Abel was beyond helpful. He must've gone to the back storage room 8-10 swapping out sizes for us and getting things not on shelves. He definitely deserves a shout out. We had just purchased a basket ball for our son,and unfortunately lost it while loading our car. We immediately went back to the store, well within 15 minutes, to ask for a reprinted receipt to resolve the situation. Samantha at the counter refused, claiming she couldn't reprint it because she had already processed other transactions. I know this isn't true, as we had only just left. Unfortunately he did a outside pickup. We had waited there 10 minutes after he checked in the app that he was there. Finally he just called the store to tell them that he's been waiting for 10 minutes. Whoever answered apologized and said the system wasn't working and didn't inform them that we had been waiting for them to bring out his merchandise. Hubby wasn't too upset. Was looking on Google for Doc Marten sandals in my size and this store had them! I would've NEVER thought Dick's carries Doc Marten's but they do! They also carry Birkenstock sandals, who knew?! Went in here to try on some running shoes. The person who helped me said he would come back when I said I needed help to see if the size I was wearing was a bit too big on me and he never came back. Walked by me multiple times with another coworker. A pair of used Nikes, obviously return, sold new for $129.00 and at the outlet were $89.00. The condition they were in I wouldn't pay over $40. In fact they were still there 2-weeks ago. I didnt know that 6:58 was the time they closed because the sign says 7pm! So the workers on the floor were all great and extremely helpful as they always are, but when we made it to the register the young lady that was the cashier to help us was extremely rude and appear to not want to be working that day. I wish I could remember her name but I don't. As we are paying for our items my 9 year old son noticed a football scarf in the glass case behind the opposite register so we asked if she can open it and grab one for us so we can add it to our total. She closed out the items we had at the register then she walked to the glass case to grab the new item then told us to go back and stand in line because the line was long and for my 9 year old so see how rude she was he said dad I don't think she likes her job. My husband and I brought our daughter to this store yesterday evening to shop for new catchers gear. This was our first time at this store and didn't know the layout so we walked around a bit to look for the women's catchers gear. When we found the gear my daughter started to try on a set (I'm not paying $450 without trying it on) and an employee came over to look at some gloves near by. We didn't think much of it and she continued to try on the set. The employee didn't ask if we needed help but just pretended to look through the gloves and rearrange them. A few minutes later another employee comes over to help the employee pretending to be busy. The whole time we could feel them staring at us and making us feel really uncomfortable. Before we know it there's 3 employees within two feet of us and never once asked if we needed help or anything. It is an awful feeling to be watched and followed in the store. After my daughter tried on the gear we decided to go somewhere else to make our purchase. We will not return to this location due to the lack of customer service. read more
