In response to the account that ive been accused of having entitled the "foodie girl" p. The person is a coward because they don't even have a picture of themselves. (P.s. if that were my account I wouldn't be able to create a new one with the same IP address) If I had a word to say to you I'd say it flat out and that's just what I'm going to do here. I don't hide behind a computer. I don't do long drawn out social media posts, but in your case I'm going to have to. At this point after today even if you decided to believe me I wouldn't ever step foot back in your store because you clearly displayed your true character. You were looking to be right, even when you know you're wrong. That's what we call pride. I have been going in to take cookies, purchase items a couple of times and passing through your store for years and established a great reputation for myself and I not once have had bad words to speak of your business. Just today before even going to your store i told a friend to support your business. Today I was accused of writing a review that I DIDNT write.I began going to your store because it was close by and I wanted to support your business. I struggle with even driving through Claremont so me going back to your store was a huge step for me. The day of the raffle I lined up like everyone else, but I was the least of the ones complaining. Lines and money being spent were to be expected. I could care less if I got the size for the RSVP because the pair of shoes were for a kid I barely knew in my class, so whether or not I got them I could care less. I planned to donate a toy regardless of getting the size because its something I do every year, so getting a raffle ticket was something for the guy in my class. Today I didn't care about some Jordan's, I cared about clearing my name. But for someone to take the time to pretend that I won a raffle to get me in your store in front of your customers to try to humiliate me was very vindictive and unnecessary. If you knew my character, which you clearly don't, you'd know I could care less about Jordan's. I only get the colors that I think are nice and I don't even collect them like that. I don't own a pair of 13's and I don't shop at Shoe Palace. My life isnt consumed with sneakers. I sat and waited patiently and you had several others that you asked to step aside and I overheard them talking about how pissed they were, even before we got in. I told the guy behind me to be patient because you were doing the best you could. That's my character. As i sat there i began to get anxious because i saw an old coworker and had to get out of the area because i couldnt breathe. Once I left I told myself I didn't need those shoes, and began to think they looked like elephants feet, and went on with my day. If I got the RSVP then why would I go through the trouble of sending my cousin to pick up the shoes for me? Why would I even show my face in your store after "writing" such a horrible review? Thats a bold move for anyone. I feel that you singled me out because I'm the only one you decided to remember telling to step aside. You "cutting" me off from your store doesn't hurt me because I won't be able to purchase things from you. It hurts because it was the one safe place in Claremont I could still go to. I honestly wish you guys nothing but the best in all that you do. If you only knew the power that i possesed and the things I could say, but instead I forgive you for that scene you made today because the kind if God that I serve isn't a hating God. You should be careful with the way you speak to people. Be blessed.

Kings is one of the few last bastions of streetwear boutiques, reminiscent of a long, bygone era of…read morestreetwear dating back to around 2009 to maybe the end of 2014. Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. Anyway, maybe I'm looking back at the history of streetwear with rose-tinted glasses, but there's no denying that the fact that a place like Kings can still thrive despite the fact that a lot of boutiques I used to frequent have either shifted to online exclusively or just shuttered their doors permanently is respectable. The fact that you can still walk into a place like this and get some sick drip without playing bullshit games and waiting for drops or buying bots to cop shit is something I truly appreciate. The staff is cool as always and if anything, their selection has improved over the years and they've definitely stepped up (heh) their shoe game as well. Anyway, my very long drawn out point is that Kings is still king when it comes to finding streetwear locally with an excellent selection. They carry all the brands; new and old. It's like Costco. You definitely aren't walking outta there with just a $5 rotisserie chicken. You're gonna walk outta there with a whole ass wardrobe if you haven't gone shopping in a VERY long time, like me.
