Kings is one of the few last bastions of streetwear boutiques, reminiscent of a long, bygone era of streetwear dating back to around 2009 to maybe the end of 2014. Nowadays streetwear trends have shifted, blurring the line between casual fashion and high fashion. It's made its way into high fashion, collaborating with major fashion heavyweights like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dior, Vetements, etc. to list a few. Kings to me is what pure streetwear is all about at its core. No bots, no asinine reseller mark-ups, no insane pricetags, no bullshit. Just tried and true streetwear styles from iconic streetwear brands that have withstood the test of time. I'm thankful Kings and others like it still exist (Proper, BAIT, Bowls LA and Union are both kind of). I say kind of because Bowls opens whenever they want and Union definitely has a certain audience in mind with the brands they carry. Anyway, maybe I'm looking back at the history of streetwear with rose-tinted glasses, but there's no denying that the fact that a place like Kings can still thrive despite the fact that a lot of boutiques I used to frequent have either shifted to online exclusively or just shuttered their doors permanently is respectable. The fact that you can still walk into a place like this and get some sick drip without playing bullshit games and waiting for drops or buying bots to cop shit is something I truly appreciate. The staff is cool as always and if anything, their selection has improved over the years and they've definitely stepped up (heh) their shoe game as well. Anyway, my very long drawn out point is that Kings is still king when it comes to finding streetwear locally with an excellent selection. They carry all the brands; new and old. It's like Costco. You definitely aren't walking outta there with just a $5 rotisserie chicken. Best clothing store in the IE and pretty much anywhere. The amount of dope brands they carry is insane not to mention their kick Game is superior to most. Their hat game will have you spending more than anticipated. The best part about this place is they don't discriminate towards bigger guys. I'm a 2X-3X depending on the brand and they carry my size in everything I want (Especially ICE CREAM AND BBC) Not to mention their house brand Kings is by far the most underrated gear you can cop. Came here on a Friday afternoon by luck. I got a call during my lunch break from Kings that I had won an online raffle for some Nike Dunks. I got super lucky because the person who originally won the raffle never made their purchase. Because of that, the shop did another raffle and they picked me! I made the purchase, drove out there, and picked up the shoes. I was in and out of the shop in less than 5 minutes. The shop itself is huge. There's a ton of merch for all ages. This is my go to spot for hats! I'm not huge on sport team apparel so glad i found the plug for Stussy! Saves me the trip to Stussy store in LA on La Brea. I've only bought hats from them but they do have some hot merch from all your popular brands. Get lucky and find some pieces you can't get at active tillys etc. In my opinion it's a hit or miss kinda place you either walk in and find something you want or you don't. My style of clothes has been consisted a lot of street wear and it has always become my type of fashion. Ever since this shop opened it was like I was a little kid in a candy store. I would always visit my grandparents in Montclair, but one day in particular I wanted to drive around the area just cause I was bored and wanted to stop by my uncles auto shop. After driving I spotted Kings and it caught my attention. As I walked in it, I had the most giddy feeling ever. I saw so much selections of clothes, hats, shoes, and damn everything was on point! This store has a lot of variety of selection of Staple hypebeast clothing brands. A lot of variety of to choose from. I love how everything was categorized in sections of brands. On top of that the selection of shoes were so epic. From nikes to vans. They had a huge selection of hats, accessories, and even stickers hahaha. This store looks so nice and clean. Every time I walk in, the vibe just puts me in a good mood to shop. The music they play always appeal towards me, which is hip hop and I always find myself trying to Shazam the songs while shopping LOL. The staff here are pretty chill. They always ask a lot of questions and always willing to help find a size. I live in the OC and it quite the commute just for this store. I would always shop at attic until I found Kings. I love how the prices here are so much more affordable then attic. Every time I am in the area, I always stop by here no matter what. And I have to leave the store with something. Really good clothing store for men. My boyfriend loves this place and so does my brother and cousins. They drive from la to come here. Great selection of snap backs and fitted hats. Awesome shoe selection as well. Workers are always friendly and greet you as you walk through the doors. Very helpful and make sure you feel welcomed. It's a cool setup, I'll give it that. But almost all the shoes i came to check out were $30-40 above the stockx and GOAT listings on instant ship. While the argument may be "convenience"....waiting a three days from instant ship isn't so bad. Whoever the Asian dude with the gold frames working the counter was-- work on your hospitality. Moved out here from the east coast and dude was a horrible representation of the store and scene. Typical hype beast attitude. But it's pretty much a hype beast store. I am in love with this place!! The clothing options, the store layout, and the customer service!! The staff here are simply the best!! They always seem so laid back and offering their help. Not to the point where you fee stalked, but I appreciate them giving me space to shop, while letting me know they're there if I need any assistant. I love all the clothing here, I have never seen such a huge selection of Stussy clothing (my favorite brand). They also had a wide selection of sneakers from skating, casual, and running. My 15 year old nephew had a birthday, and this is one of his favorite stores, so hi ho, hi ho, off to shopping I go. They have a very large selection of trendy teen type clothing, shoes, and accessories. However, if you are not a teenager, you will suddenly feel quite old here as you try to break the code of some of the t-shirt slogans and brand names. To be on the safe side, I stayed away from anything that said Dope, Crooks, Huf, and/or depicted green leaves or weapons. Exchange policy is a little militant, must do so within 14 days, and it's a store credit only. Fortunately, my nephew liked the items I got him. Moving to Chino, there were literally no streetwear/skate shops that had the flavor that I'm into. I looked up streetwear stores in IE on Google and came across Kings. It was literally 15 mins away from my house, so I decided to cruise and check it out. When I got there I was surprised at how huge the space is and how huge the brand roster is that they carry. They literally have everything from skate brands to streetwear, to jerseys, and even workwear. They even carried one of my favorite brands from Japan, XLARGE! I was stoked at the selection they had and stoked on the vinyl music they had as well. You could tell this shop has history and the owners know what they're doing. I met one of the workers, Johnny. He's a super a nice guy and he even walked me through the whole layout over the store. It was almost a little overwhelming because there was so much I wanted to buy. I ended up buying an XLarge tee and a really dope new era hat. One of the other employees, Jonathan was more than helpful when helping me find my size on my fitted new era.
