I needed to return my shoes ,and I told them I had not worn them and you can see that nothing is off the shoes ,but they said that the thirty days had passed and so I told them before I came I called a person and they told me that I can exchange or get store credit ,but they also told me the back is creased and I was like no because they were the last ones and they were on display which caused the back to crease a little bit ,and finally after 3 of the employers and the manager came to the register to try to argue with me they finally returned it . read more

The workers need to stop being distracted. We had gotten a pair of shoes and the lady at the front checked them and realized one was a 10 and one was a 9. We ended up not taking that pair but another. When they rang it up the pair was 119 and I remembered I saw on the tag 79... we shrug it off anf thought it was our mistake. We get home and are about to wrap our gifts and we realize they gave us the wrong shoes. Completely different shoes no wonder the total was off. Hopefully they don't give us a hard time when we go exchange them. read more

While helping multiple people at once, he was very helpful and pleasant. Also, Evan, the cashier was friendly and quick while checking us out. I came in to buy Jordans for my quadruplets.. yes 4 toddlers. Even though I came in at just about 5 minutes before closing, they were all so super friendly. Went to the mall today to buy my daughter some new Nike's. Went into another mall store and no one even acknowledged us. So we went into Shoe Palace for the first time and Evan greeted us with a smile. He helped us patiently thru various sizes (he was right the first time, but I insisted I was right)....and we finally ended up in the size he suggested and loved them. I went into to this store yesterday to exchange some shoes my daughter had bought me for my birthday. The staff was extremely friendly. I believe like 3 different members approached me to see if I needed help. I have no complaints with customer service. That part was awesome. I tried exchanging my shoes for 3 different styles of Nike's. But all 3 pairs didn't come in my size. They either ONLY had them in the baby size or men size. So I walked out if there with the same pair I went in there with. I'll try again in a couple of days in hopes a new shipment of shoes came in. read more

Bought a pair of shoes here and received the worst customer service! The white young guy, a little skinny with a bit of curly hair is so rude with customers. First, I asked for a size and he only gave me just one shoe. Don't you wear a pair of shoes? Why only give me one of the pair to try? Lastly, when I told him I will get the pair, I went to the counter to check out. When I was about to pay, I saw 2 shoe boxes and I said, the other box is not mine. He insisted that I gave the second box to him. I told him I have no idea what he's talking about and he's confusing me. Making me look like a liar and he keeps on arguing that I gave it to him when I only handed him the pair that I want to buy with no box. By the way, the other box contains slippers. And I didn't even touch any slippers in that store. He didn't even apologize and can't look me in the eye. read more

I had the worst experience shopping at this store. The manager (young white kid), had no customer service. The manager looked at my receipt and shoes and said he would exchange my shoes. Later after tells me he can't return my shoes because there a day after my 30 day exchange policy. I was shopping for shoes 30 minutes when he decides not to exchange my shoes after he already seen my receipt and tells me look for another shoe. That's blasphemy. Great customer service, interpersonal communication and genuine Shoe Palace employee. As I walked into Shoe Palace he immediately welcomed me and he let me know about the products and sales going on through the store.There was a table in the front that had Vans on them for a great price. I bought about 7 pairs and Louie helped me make sure all the sizes were matched and effortlessly was genuine and had great communication. It was great to see genuine customer service still exists during these unprecedented times and he was such a great and genuine soul. Bless Louie and the great service he offered A+++++++++ and did it so effortlessly and genuine. He also showed me the face mask section and noted they were 3 for $10 so I bought some for my brother and sister. The company does not stand behind their product do not spend your money here the management will always have an excuse to NOT give store credit. They tell you if you have any problems with the shoe they will replace or give store credit this is not the case they did not do either they hurt my sons foot and the shoe cost was $115.00 horrible customer service!! read more

This location needs to be shut down and a whole new staff brought in .. i have been in several times in the last couple weeks just to see if an employee would acknowledge my presence and assist me and every time they ignore you and could care less . Especially brenda and matt .. (blonde girl with black roots , and white guy with short brown hair) . I came in on my lunch break from the hospital and needed toddler shoes for my son . I asked brenda for the shoe and she came back with 1 shoe ???? Was i supposed to try on the toddler shoe ?? Obviously i was there to purchase quickly and get back to work . So i told her i wanted to buy the pair , and she leaves and starts assisting someone else !!??? So now im waiting and i ask matt if he can help me since she ignored me and he could care less but he got the shoe , then started talking crap and being really rude at the register so i told him he could keep the shoes and they would not be getting any business from me that day . Such a shame ! I've never had this happen at the ontario mills location but montclair seriously needs an entire new staff !!!! read more
