We don't know which manager it is,but we're told these are the current managers as of april 2025.Apparently she,ivy/samantha; hires people who have income withholding orders for child support,and dismisses the orders to withhold income (November 2024) or tips off the employee to leave the store to avoid the order (February 2025). I bought a pair of shoes from this store. I tried them on in the store for about ten minutes. Took them home and then decided to return them about a week later. I never wore them again outside of the store. The manager Alex would not return them he pointed to a minuscule amount of dirt on one edge of the bottom of the sole as being dirty. The factory sticker was still on the bottom and unscathed. They were in perfect condition. The only dirt they could have got was from their floor. The next size larger was not available. What Poor service. I have been a Vans customer since 1979. My kids wear vans but after this I am so disappointed. I'm stuck with an 85.00 pair of shoes that don't fit and can't return. I hate this vans location . Was there about 5 mins ago ready to spend a good amount of money. I clearly saw 3 employees in the shop talking amongst themselves and it made me uncomfortable to go up to them and ask them for help. I didn't get greeted when I walk right past them and I was at the register with nobody on the floor . I just wanted some shoes . I called the store before to find out which entrance was the closest. The young lady explained so well I was in and out in less then 20 minutes, this was on a Sunday a week before Christmas! I was helped right away and found what I needed. They also had this great guy checking the box before purchase for correct size while you are waiting in line. I make sure to NEVER come to this store but we were already at the mall and my friend wanted some new pants. Worst customer service ever. Most of the employees are extremely rude. My friend was trying on a pair of pants and had the fitting room door open to show us and an employee rudely said "um it's only 1 person per fitting room and with the door open you're blocking the hallway" UMMMM we were standing outside the fitting room and how else is our friend supposed to show us the outfit without the door open? I would've got her name except she wasnt wearing a name tag. If the employees read this review, i went there at 4:30 on July 15 and she was a short hispanic girl so check the schedule and see who it was because I recommend you talk to her about her tone on how she speaks to customers. There was 3 workers there, 2 were helping other customers, the third was standing behind the counter looking at the cash register. We walk in without even an hello. The other 2 customer left after about 5 minutes, we waited in the back of the store for over 20 freaking minutes and never got any effing help. WTF is wrong with this store and this moronic people?? This is hands down my favorite Vans store in the area. There's a big variety of shoes and the staff made the experience so much better! I went in on Saturday around 2 and Forester was super helpful when it came to giving me information about the shoes I wanted and he brought out the shoe quickly as well. We ordered shoes online, needless to say they didn't fit right. So we came in to exchange 2 pairs and everything ended up being a huge hassle bc of shoes being out of stock and what not..Carla helped us out and was so great. She was really nice even when the computer systems weren't working as they should. Today, 01/18/2016 I visited this store twice in less than an hour. I decided to give the store a second try since I really wanted a specific pair of shoes (both visits were between 5:15pm and 6:15pm). I was greeted the 1st time I walked in by the guy cashiering but not the second time... But he was very busy the 2nd time so I will not fault him for that. In fact, he is the ONLY person that deserves a star! 1st trip there were 2 people being helped and 2 employees helping them. I wasn't greeted by them or offered assistance. I was walked past a few times with no luck. After 10 minutes of being ignored, I walked out. I walked around the mall and came back about 30 minutes later. This time the store was packed so I was hoping for a quick "need a pair" or something out of at least one employee. The only common factor was a girl employee who didn't offer to help, but said "excuse me" to hand someone a shoe next to me. After another 10 minutes and watching a mom desperately try to get another employees attention, I gave up. This store is the closest store to my home but I will go out of my way or only shop online to avoid giving a place with no customer service my business. I love Vans, but NOT this Montclair location. Please send these employees to a class on customer service. read more
