Very displeased with our experience my friend and I called twice both times being told they still had "room" for our stuff. We drove around 20 minutes to be there to drop off our bags. My friend and I lugged around 6 bags of clothes in hopes of dropping it off. We then entered the building and saw three female employees sorting items and asked where to drop off our stuff and all 3 of them responded with attitudes and acted oblivious as if we didn't just talk to one of them and they told us that 3 people already dropped off and filled their slots after just calling 15 minutes ago which is highly unbelievable. Horrible experience no accountability. Businesses should be more respectful and mindful of the gas and time people take to travel to drop things off, unbelievable. read more

I came today to drop off some clothes. I literally called as I was in the car leaving less than 20 minutes away to make sure they were still accepting drop-offs, whoever I talked to said I would be fine and could come. When I showed up, they wouldn't take my clothes. I told them how I had called and they were adamant that they couldn't take them and said 3 people apparently came in between me calling and showing up, which I doubt. You spend money on gas going back and forth, and you get nothing! This store passed on all the items that I took to sell. I got upset because my items are brand new and some items were worn only once or twice. In other occasions, this store also passed on most of the items that I took. It's not worth your effort to drive there or your time. It looks like the staff are not paid well, so they don't do the job. They just pass on the stuff you take without checking them. I don't recommend this store at all! Stay away and save your time and energy! Also, if they buy from you, they pay you very low. They sell it for high. It's a rip off! In addition, you take your items in a very well organized manner, and they give them back to you in a very chaotic manner. So, I'll never go back again! read more

This store is not what it used to be which makes me sad. I loved coming here. Employees aren't very welcoming and will not say anything to you. The clothes are overpriced for being pre-owned. I used to sell my clothes here all the time. I stopped because I noticed they reject most, if not all, of the pieces you bring in even if they are good quality clothes from great brands. If they do accept an item, they will lowball you. You are better off selling your clothes on Poshmark or one of those other online marketplaces. They have some cute accessories and gifts when you first walk in. They are fun to look at but that's about all I would go there for now. read more

Ive been coming to Deelux for years as a buyer and a seller. When shopping here, not all but most employees seem to have a mean girl attitude or mentality, a bit snobby, but I have noticed when I dress a bit more fashionable I get greeted more and often times more of my clothes are taken when I sell so appearance is huge here. Also their selection of clothing use to be mostly vintage and unique which is why I loved coming here, now sadly it's almost 50% vintage. Their quality in picking clothes has really gone downhill, shopping through their dress section today I saw about 3 dresses with big noticeable stains going for around $30, i also saw a good amount of SHEIN, Fashion Nova, and even clothes from Ross. It would be easier to understand if they were prices very cheap but $18 for a Ross top? No thank you read more

I made an appointment to sell 2 bags of clothes and a bag of shoes, before going in I washed all my clothes and even scrubbed my shoes (and washed the laces) After reviewing my stuff the lady said they couldn't take any of my items because they were "worn out" and the shoes looked "too worn" (mind you there were some clothes with the tag still on them + name brand stuff) They also said they were kind of picky with women's clothing, but I had some men's jeans in there that I even bought from THAT specific store and location about a year ago. Another time I've tried to sell from them I tried to sell my unworn $150 dollar adidas and they tried to give about 20 bucks for them. I Usually do not write reviews but me and my partner were in town for the night and decided to go around "the village" to shop around, we had found this small but fantastic thrift store. Usually I don't get anything at thrift stores but I found so many good things with the help of their fashionable staff. Taylor primarily helped me, it seemed as though he was being stretched thin already but helped me throughout the entire process of recommending me where to find certain clothes, to checking me out at the end when everyone else seemed busy. The clothes were seemly well priced with pants being 20 dollars each with great quality brands! Without the help of Taylor I don't think I would have explored the entire store or been able to find all the things I bought. The next time I am in town I will sure to be back at Deelux read more

Multiple issues here. I should have made a review a year ago when other issues arose, but today was kinda the last straw for me. First, they rarely carry plus sizes for women (and I mean anything bigger than a L). Second, you need to book an appointment to sell (unless you want to drop your stuff off and wait 2 days). They might "make a scheduling error" and cancel your appointment though. I made an appt a week ago and they just cancelled my appointment and told me my option was now the "drop off and wait two days" option. And third, the payout is awful and not worth the time and energy. eBay/Depop are def the way to go if you're wanting to sell clothes. read more

I have been coming here for a few years and when I first went I would always find a little gem, reasonably priced I might add. For the past year or so they have completely changed their model and overpriced their clothing and shoes. They have gross shirts with threads coming out and sell it for $30 but when you go and try to sell clothes they turn down everything! I took in clothing and shoes that were in good condition and were name brand and they said they couldn't take anything in the 3 bags I bought in. I also checked their website to see what they were looking for so I can match it. I have honestly decided to never take my clothes to sell there again because it seems they only want trash clothes. There was a lady in front of me that had Chanel flats and a small purse and they tried to low ball her for $90 for both! One more thing, their customer service sucks! The bad reviews are unwarranted. I have been shopping here for almost a decade now, and I have never had a bad experience - from buying, selling, or just browsing. The workers are all incredibly personable, fun, lively, and sincere. The prices definitely range from low to high, but that is a given since they carry such a vast array of items/brands. Most of my closet is from DeeLux, and I always make a point of selling to them if I am trying to unload/purge items. Even if you just want to window shop and peruse, this is a great spot. It's my first time here and the vibes were amazing to start off with. I was browsing through amazing thrift finds, definitely a thrift store I've never been to, it's so unique. When I went to go try on some clothes this worker closes the door on me hard, it was accidental. Then after she was so mean and it was like I was a disgrace to be there. I will never shop or resell at this store again. Extremely rude employees and whoever sorts through the trade in clothes has absolutely no sense of what would sell well. The store will actually have similar items and still reject them. Completely overpriced store and trade ins are offered for $6 store credit as you sell them for $60 and up. They judge you based off the way you dress and won't even look through your clothes. The entire store is based off an outdated Tyler the creator type grandma style. Reconsider because the store could make WAY more money if they had a more diverse selection. It's not 2016-2018 anymore. Look up 2nd Street store. They make way more because they actually select current and in trend clothes. Talked to a few people outside around Claremont about Deelux and every single person said they feel unwanted and out of place in the store. Your employees have a very "better than you" attitude. I find a decent piece from time to time. I took in 40 items (not fast fashion) and they bought 3- new chucks, new bell bottom Levi's and a new velvet evening gown all with tags. Gave me $30 credit. They didn't select some of the (IMO) better brands of gently used sun dresses, flowy boutique blouses, wide leg summer slacks with tags and even the perfect cotton eyelet corset top that I'm actually glad to wear again this summer. They rejected items from Ted Baker, Dolce & Gabbana, BCBG, White House/Black Market, D&G, Max Studio, Lulu's and Zara. Just so you're prepared don't take it personal. read more

The ambiance and the store set up was great. Racks are very organized. Staff was very polite and friendly.....Items are pretty pricey for a thrift store. I did find in excellent condition a pair of Levi's 569. Had 2 vest in my hand decided for what they were asking for them I could get a couple pieces in an average thrift store. My cousin and I visited the Claremont store. This boutique of nice quality, mostly previously owned garments is well curated, neat, and orderly. It's Claremont's answer to Buffalo Exchange, tho' on a smaller scale. Look for 1/2 price things not only on the rack outside the store, but inside, among the other merchandise. I found a lovely little peacock-blue sweater for only $5. DeeLux definitely caters to the college crowd. read more
