I Usually do not write reviews but me and my partner were in town for the night and decided to go around "the village" to shop around, we had found this small but fantastic thrift store. Usually I don't get anything at thrift stores but I found so many good things with the help of their fashionable staff. Taylor primarily helped me, it seemed as though he was being stretched thin already but helped me throughout the entire process of recommending me where to find certain clothes, to checking me out at the end when everyone else seemed busy. The clothes were seemly well priced with pants being 20 dollars each with great quality brands! Without the help of Taylor I don't think I would have explored the entire store or been able to find all the things I bought. The next time I am in town I will sure to be back at Deelux read more

This store is not what it used to be which makes me sad. I loved coming here. Employees aren't very welcoming and will not say anything to you. The clothes are overpriced for being pre-owned. I used to sell my clothes here all the time. I stopped because I noticed they reject most, if not all, of the pieces you bring in even if they are good quality clothes from great brands. If they do accept an item, they will lowball you. You are better off selling your clothes on Poshmark or one of those other online marketplaces. They have some cute accessories and gifts when you first walk in. They are fun to look at but that's about all I would go there for now. read more

I have been coming here for a few years and when I first went I would always find a little gem, reasonably priced I might add. For the past year or so they have completely changed their model and overpriced their clothing and shoes. They have gross shirts with threads coming out and sell it for $30 but when you go and try to sell clothes they turn down everything! I took in clothing and shoes that were in good condition and were name brand and they said they couldn't take anything in the 3 bags I bought in. I also checked their website to see what they were looking for so I can match it. I have honestly decided to never take my clothes to sell there again because it seems they only want trash clothes. There was a lady in front of me that had Chanel flats and a small purse and they tried to low ball her for $90 for both! One more thing, their customer service sucks! The people working there think they're too cool and don't ever greet you, or even bother to say excuse me when walking by you. read more

I will never shop or resell at this store again. Extremely rude employees and whoever sorts through the trade in clothes has absolutely no sense of what would sell well. The store will actually have similar items and still reject them. Completely overpriced store and trade ins are offered for $6 store credit as you sell them for $60 and up. They judge you based off the way you dress and won't even look through your clothes. The entire store is based off an outdated Tyler the creator type grandma style. Reconsider because the store could make WAY more money if they had a more diverse selection. It's not 2016-2018 anymore. Look up 2nd Street store. They make way more because they actually select current and in trend clothes. Talked to a few people outside around Claremont about Deelux and every single person said they feel unwanted and out of place in the store. Your employees have a very "better than you" attitude. Deelux is such a cool store with great employees. I always enjoy shopping around and selling clothes there. Today I was helped by Maria & Nora and they were amazing! I had an appointment to sell clothes and they were super helpful with the process. While waiting I looked around and everything in the store is curated so nicely it is hard leaving empty handed. Multiple issues here. I should have made a review a year ago when other issues arose, but today was kinda the last straw for me. First, they rarely carry plus sizes for women (and I mean anything bigger than a L). Second, you need to book an appointment to sell (unless you want to drop your stuff off and wait 2 days). They might "make a scheduling error" and cancel your appointment though. I made an appt a week ago and they just cancelled my appointment and told me my option was now the "drop off and wait two days" option. And third, the payout is awful and not worth the time and energy. eBay/Depop are def the way to go if you're wanting to sell clothes. read more

The bad reviews are unwarranted. I have been shopping here for almost a decade now, and I have never had a bad experience - from buying, selling, or just browsing. The workers are all incredibly personable, fun, lively, and sincere. The prices definitely range from low to high, but that is a given since they carry such a vast array of items/brands. Most of my closet is from DeeLux, and I always make a point of selling to them if I am trying to unload/purge items. Even if you just want to window shop and peruse, this is a great spot. I just took to bags of clothes which had a few brand new blouses with tags on them a pair of almost new and they turned everything i took away I seen some horrible clothes and shoes they were selling save your time and don't sell your stuff at deelux. read more

It's my first time here and the vibes were amazing to start off with. I was browsing through amazing thrift finds, definitely a thrift store I've never been to, it's so unique. When I went to go try on some clothes this worker closes the door on me hard, it was accidental. Then after she was so mean and it was like I was a disgrace to be there. I brought in a good amount of nice/brand new clothing and they did not take anything! My items were either barely worn/unworn, some even brand new, and all were definitely name brands. They claimed my clothes were from shein, stained, and worn. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not waste your time going here. read more

Ok I'm older than the people who shop here but I've got discerning taste. I've shopped this place a number of times over the years. I'm familiar with their process and buying rules. I find a decent piece from time to time. I took in 40 items (not fast fashion) and they bought 3- new chucks, new bell bottom Levi's and a new velvet evening gown all with tags. Gave me $30 credit. They didn't select some of the (IMO) better brands of gently used sun dresses, flowy boutique blouses, wide leg summer slacks with tags and even the perfect cotton eyelet corset top that I'm actually glad to wear again this summer. They rejected items from Ted Baker, Dolce & Gabbana, BCBG, White House/Black Market, D&G, Max Studio, Lulu's and Zara. Just so you're prepared don't take it personal. read more

It's on the higher end of price for thrifting for my girls ( ages 14 years old . ) .. There are some brand names like Adidas, coach and Burberry and Levi's , Nike and other vintage brand names as well. I saw some vintage collections priced at $100 , while some are $25 . The ambiance and the store set up was great. Racks are very organized. Staff was very polite and friendly.....Items are pretty pricey for a thrift store. I did find in excellent condition a pair of Levi's 569. Had 2 vest in my hand decided for what they were asking for them I could get a couple pieces in an average thrift store. It's located in a quaint part of Claremont with restaurants within walking distance...so it makes for a nice outing. read more

My cousin and I visited the Claremont store. This boutique of nice quality, mostly previously owned garments is well curated, neat, and orderly. It's Claremont's answer to Buffalo Exchange, tho' on a smaller scale. Look for 1/2 price things not only on the rack outside the store, but inside, among the other merchandise. I found a lovely little peacock-blue sweater for only $5. DeeLux definitely caters to the college crowd. read more

This is my FAVORITE secondhand store! I always find something that is so my style. Lots of different sizes to choose from, I especially love the dress section. The prices are not bad compared to brand new stuff at the mall. Whenever I need a fit I try to stop by here first. This place USED to be awesome for thrifting... but the last year it has fallen extremely downhill. The staff and snooty, and have a "better than you" attitude, with the exception of when they see you're interested in trying something on (buying the items). I use to sell here all the time, and can confidently say a large selection of their vintage band tee's and leathers came from me. But I don't even bother anymore. Rude, judgy staff that doesn't even look through all the clothes if you're not standing right there, and they will extremely lowball you. Online it says cash back is 50% of what they resale your items for. I made $20 on a nice, vintage leather jacket I saw them selling for $65... lame. Would love to see the owners step up, listen to the reviews, and hire better employees. read more

The storefronts look a tad neater and less deliberately ostentatious than a Buffalo Exchange. (DeeLux tends to have less overall merchandise though.) I have found the occasional chic tee shirt or goofy snapback at DeeLux. They usually have solid offerings of iron on patches at DeeLux too. For whatever reason, a rather extensive Sanrio patch collection sits in glass display cases by the register. The Chococat outshone the others in Cuteness. Not this time HK! The organization and layout of this store would please even the fussiest interior designer. Each style of garment rests in its own quaint space. Everything in its right place at DeeLux. All sales staff at DeeLux deserve praise for that. I've experienced some success selling here. Anticipating what will trade well at any clothing store may prove challenging given the fashion world is so overloaded with fatuous pretense. The task is not impossible though. All styles of ironic/vintage crap are currently en vogue. Here is a list of the items I traded/sold/whatever: 1. A 2XL Hulkamania shirt (I did not think this would trade at all.) 2. A pair of vintage black Wrangler jeans. (Old pants are SUPERFLY.) 3. A white D.A.R.E. shirt (These are on trend for irony aficionados and copycats.) 4. A black D.A.R.E. shirt (Extra-extra rare. Ha.) 5. A pair of red and black US apparel shorts (I may have purchased the shorts for $2 at DeeLux years ago, so cool stays cool?) I stumbled into DeeLux while strolling the streets of downtown Claremont, next to the Folk Music Center. I didn't know they also have a location in Orange. This cute store is nicely decorated (cool plants hanging from their skylight, neat idea!) and it's more than a thrift store, they do sell brand new merchandise as well. My husband got me a nice (new) jewelry box in here. They also have the best Frida Kahlo socks selections in here (had to get a few for gifts), nice new jewelry - necklaces, earrings. We did get some nice earrings (made with Czech crystals) for a gift as well. They do sell used clothing, the place was crowded with a bit of a line, but the customer service was very good. I came to this location close to closing & I enjoyed the selection they have. I was greeted when I walked in & they have a small but nice selection of stationary items, socks, baggu bags, and cards. I like this stores selection of clothes/shoes & I know I can find something good on clearance! I like that I always see the workers keeping the clothes nice and organized. I tried on some jackets and shirts and Melanie was able to help me out in the fitting room. I have been to the Orange location and I can say I enjoy this store more and I will be coming back! read more
