This used to be our favorite thrift store. We've been coming here since the days when they were in the smaller store. Then, the volunteers were sweet and humble and the store didnt operate as if they were Nordstrom's. It is not the same. They are wayyyyy overpriced for stuff that was donated to them. There is literally a "no talk to the employees" sign up. "No price tag no sale" is a crock since it is their "job" to price the stuff they put out on the floor. Today I was there and found something I was interested in but there was no price on it. I took it to the back door to see if I could get assistance with it and there was a big nasty sign that basically said "don't even think of asking for help. No price no sale" well screw you then! So much crap on the floor without prices. And their half off deals are a joke too. If it says "green tags 50% off" good luck finding a green tag! They had a red Ferrari wind breaker that was donated but they wanted $200.00 for it. Greedy much????? And don't EVEN THINK of buying anything electronic. They plug them in to check for power but don't test anything any further. I've had to rerun any electronics I have purchased here. Just don't bother. I need a new thrift store! read more

They used to be a great thrift store, but over the last year or so they've started raising the prices so high it's ridiculous! Today I was in there and saw a pair of beat up vans shoes with no laces and they were priced for $70! Similarly, I saw a pair of used Converse sneakers priced at $50. These prices are more expensive than buying things new at the actual retailer. I don't get it. read more

My kids had been asking me to take them thrifting for a while. We'd watched the documentary on fast fashion and thrifting really is a great way to help with the impact of that. We decided it was a great idea to go prior to our trip to Europe this summer. This is a great thrift store. I've donated items to this store numerous times over the years. Their new location is a lot more spacious and welcoming. We had a blast! My youngest even found some great clothing items for back to school, and once the weather gets cooler. She found a super cool faux leather jacket with a flannel interior. We had fun trying on some of the sun hats. My oldest found some great shorts and cute tops. I found a couple cute tops as well as a great pair of pants, which I lovingly refer to as my "Mama Mia pants" and they were red-tagged which meant they were marked down from $7.50 to $0.50!!!! What a bargain! The staff is helpful and friendly and even the customers are courteous and helpful as well. We will be back for sure! read more

ANOTHE DISSAPOINTING BUSINESS, not keeping to their word. Website "claims" donations until 2pm Mon-Fri. Revolved my whole week, cleaning out, to drop off Fri. By 2pm. I arrive at 1pm with a closed sign, only to be turned away- they closed early- too many donations! I packed my whole car. Wknds they accept no donations, and I work Mon-Fri till 4pm, so time to unpack car to keep in my garage who knows how long! So tired of all these businesses who lack reliability and customer service! I went to make a donation today. I went up to the main door where a volunteer let me know that they now accept donations in the back. I've been donating here a long time, since they were in the other spot on the other side of the plaza. I went around back and a red car in front of me rather than properly parking, pulled aside taking three parking spaces. I pulled into a space that was next to the dumpster. I was not blocking the dumpster, I was next to it. A women who was volunteering came up to me and said firmly, "You know, we don't like people parking there." When I pointed out that the red car took up three spots and that was the last spot she replied, "Dammit! I'm just telling you!" The moment she used profanity towards me, I pretended she was not there and I walked up the small hill and started putting the children's book I was donating in a box with other books. A man came towards me and said, "No more books" I replied "Ok" and I walked away. When I walked away, I still had another bag of books and did as I was told. He yelled at me, "Hey! Did you hear me?". At that point, I ignored the two of them, got into the car, and left. For the record, my 13 year old son was with me and they acted this way in front of him. So rude, so unprofessional, and I am so done. I have shopped here for years and donated for years. Not anymore. I will never buy anything here ever again and I will never donate here as well. The good thing about this experience is I will now see if there are any grassroots organizations out here that really need help rather than get treated the way I did today. the worst staff I have been saw ,the cashier guy ,is the most mean guy. The shop is very nice , the items are really good, I am banned from visiting this store because of the attitude of this employee. I bought a vacuum and before I made the payment I told him I wasn't sure about it .he reassured me that it wouldn't be a problem and the manager would handle the return if I change my mind. however once I paid ,his attitude completely changed and he refused to accept the return, even starting to act upset about it.it was really strange and frustrating , and I am not allowed to enter the store anymore just to note that by rules all electronics are returned within 7 days read more

This small thrift store had a few items I picked up. I really like their sales. They have signs everywhere letting the shopper know what the sale is. I went shopping for the clothes & jewelry. The selection was ok. But I got there later in the day and there were a lot of people shopping. The staff was friendly. I believe they all volunteer. The store is clean h very organized. BUYERS BEWARE. Speaking out takes courage. For us who are pet owners, it's common we discipline our beloved for the wrong reasons (or the wrong pet: Is it Molly, or Marty?!) I would not recommend shopping here, not because the staff, who are all volunteers, or their mission, which is to help those in need, but I fear I'm unfairly punished for barking after Molly made a mess/GONE IN HIDING: I've never shopped @ thrift stores until 1 & 1/2 years into the pandemic. Things (permanently) changed, so I'd like to share my hard-earned lessons. 1) DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING YOU SEE in the store; items are not wanted for a reason. Just like a rescued dog suffering from separation anxiety, I once bought kitchenware with an ill-fitting lid that I didn't know because THEY TAPED IT SHUT, lid to the body, intentionally or not. 2) Even when item looks brand new & in its original package, RIP IT OPEN! I assumed I had bought a new pot to cook this Labor Day wkd. It was wrapped in pristine condition with an original brochure & I paid top $$$ for it (I even asked Grandma if they sell new items at thrift shops; see foto). Unbeknownst to me, despite the high price point ($25; plus tax), the screw securing handle was already CORRODED. It broke after single use, 2 months shy of purchase!? ********UPDATE******** I have incorporated merchant's response into my main review below. Dear Brenda, The fact is you sell damaged products, sometimes defective, to unsuspecting shoppers who can't tell a discernible difference until too late, and PRICE should reflect that. I know better now; the pot was my 1st purchase at MCC so I wished to share my steep learning curve. I would never insult or insinuate MCC for "camouflaging" imperfections. "Gone in Hiding" refers to Molly, a random name for the donor who donated a defective merchandise wrapped in original package disguised as new: Just as a donor would be less scrupulous of her donations, I didn't wash the pot being it's defective & deemed returnable. Each foto attached has a time/date stamp, like my text to Grandma. Instead of fixated on the ins & outs of my demand which I have since retracted, I'd appreciate more if you acknowledged the hard work volunteers put into this unique set of challenges. These unsung men & women are my daily superheroes. They confront Moral Hazard (hidden action), Adverse Selection (hidden information) each day. In spite of their best intentions, oversight unfortunately occurs. Profound degradation is clearly evident from date of purchase on my receipt. It has nothing to do with cooking dog food or time elapsed. Unlike your assumption, spoiling my pets with a "new" pot is a luxury I can't afford. Hence my shopping in your thrift store.. read more

First time shopping at their new location; same shopping area. The new location is much bigger and higher ceiling. They have much more spaced out sections but we still have to do the treasure hunting for good finds. I bought some cute summer tops, scrubs tops, mail holder, and pajamas. 7 items for $20. I am so disappointed in this thrift now! I've been coming here for a few years because the hole in the walls can be some of the best thrifts to find great stuff at great prices. MCC has always been pretty fair in their pricing, so they're a go to when I'm tired of being gouged by some of the other bigger thrifts. It's been a few months since I was last here, but today, I was absolutely flabbergasted by some of their pricing! Puma sneakers- $40, Hunter boots- $65, Nike shoes- $100, Vans - $25, Allen Edmunds $100! They had a vintage Monopoly game marked at $45, AND the sticker tag was slapped on the box, which will ruin it when taken off. Excuse me, but what on earth are you doing MCC? WHO is your ignorant pricer back there pricing these items like this? Newsflash, thrifters do NOT like the pricing trends of Goodwill and others because it makes it pointless to thrift if you're going to consult internet pricing (which, by the way, is almost always inaccurate since active listings are checked and those prices do not reflect what these things actually sold for). If I wanted to pay those prices, I would shop online. Never mind that you actually have some form of return policy on those platforms and MCC does not- all sales are final minus electronics. The pricing seemed to be all over the place, too. Some of the inventory was insanely priced while others were great. I suggest maybe MCC reevaluate how they price their inventory because it seems like they have lost sight of the purpose of why thrifts to exist- generating income for their causes. Now they act as if they're ebay or a consignment shop? The inventory is free to you. Simmer down. You aren't Plato's Closet, Ebay, or Poshmark. Needless to say, it's discouraging to want to come back since they seem to be joining the ranks of all the other thrifts who are actively gouging shoppers. If I had to mention any faults, it would just be that the store is not big enough but that's not their fault. If it were in a larger building, they could sell a lot more furniture. They don't have much in the furniture dept. Prices and sales are really good. I got a few items for 80% off due to a special sale they were having. Also found this vintage coffee maker for $6.75 that makes awesome, hot coffee-- threw out my stupid Mr. Coffee machine and only use this vintage one now. Customer service was welcoming, friendly, and informative. Parking is easy in the large shared parking lot. I enjoyed shopping here. read more

I use to come to his thrift store a couple of years ago it was so small I always found something. I always thought their prices were a little bit higher than most thrift stores. So Friday I decided to take a drive out there first there new location was a lot bigger which was nice. The employees weren't so friendly I tried making small talk with the cashier she didn't seem interested in talking oh well. Their prices are still on the high end which is sad since they are donated items. But I still had fun looking for treasures. Whoever is in charge of pricing calm down just a tad. This is one of my Husband's and my favorite thrift stores. Prices are fair, there is a good selection and great deals when you can find them like $1 color of the week tags or all clothing/shoes 50% off. MCC is decently organized by men/women and sized. I really appreciate that there are two fitting rooms and a restroom, though not the cleanest. The staff is kind, and I love the music they played the last two visits. read more

If I could give this a place negative stars I would. I loved coming to this thrift store. Last week I came in with my 4 year old boy and he saw an RC car for sale for $18 (it was in the original box so I looked relatively new) A little pricey for a thrift store but it was his birthday so I bought it for him. Came home, put new batteries in it, and it didn't work. It seems like the remote control was the wrong type for the car. Came back a few days later with the receipt to return it. They didn't accept my return...not even store credit. Their excuse was because their policy is only to accept returns on electronics. This was a toy, and according to them I had knowledge that all sales are final, even on an electronic toy, they wouldn't not even get store credit. Shame on you. MCC Thrift Store. read more
