This is a good size store in Montclair, with plenty of parking. Wide aisles and a fairly good organization. The one area where items could be separated and organized better, is the kitchen/household/decor stuff. The largest section is clothing, but they also have small appliances, a little furniture, toys, books, seasonal etc. Prices were okay. One thing I didn't like at all, is the use of wax markers to write prices on books and other items. Very difficult to remove. read more

I really like this thrift store. The clothing selection is great and you can return items within 7 days if the tags are still on. Prices are excellent, unlike a certain "religious" thrift store in Pomona. There's always some kind of discount on Fridays. Not the best selection of household goods but lots of other fun stuff. Wax marker that is used to price items is easy to remove with a stiff cloth. read more

Updated: The worker are great. But the prices are to high now kind of up to goodwill prices. Also I haven been here in a few months and some of the clothes is the same. Wish they had dollar sales. read more

"One of these days, I'm gonna get organiz-ized!" -from a novelty office sign Quality Thrift Store shines because someone decided to organize it. The t-shirts, por ejemplo, are arranged by size and they are not packed into each other like wadded up old tissues in a pant pocket. One can almost effortlessly peruse the inventory here. Not one gauche heap of clothes did I espy anywhere. Even the tchotchke and bric-a-brac can be scanned with relative ease. Because people can look through Quality Thrift without resort to digging, people can actually find good, useful items. Once I myself lucked out when I located one of those Music Television shirts featuring ne'er-do-wells who fish from their living room and incessantly say UH HUH UH HUH UH HUH all the time. Today I located a clip on or pin resembling a pair of puckered scarlet lips. They were a bargain like most of the items in Quality Thrift. Time to kiss this review goodbye. read more

It's a large store. I bought 50% of my son's clothing there when he was a child. There are quality clothes and clothes good to wear while gardening. There is only a small collection of extra large women's clothes. The staff is mostly helpful. There are 3 or 4 dressing rooms. But I don't know if they are available in 2021. There are dishes and nick knacks on the right side of the store. Books, toys, exercise equipment on the left side of the store. Furniture in the back towards the left. There's a boutique area in the front with nicer jewelry. I've been shopping here for 30 years. It's my favorite thrift store. read more

This store is very neat and organized and has a good variety of items. And during the two months that they were closed they put a lot of time into cleaning and getting even more organized with social distancing, etc in mind. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Since I have relocated my work space to home, I was look specifically for something to put on the wall in my office and I scored big time! There were a few pictures I was considering, then I spotted this in an out of the way area and it was only $15! This was the first weekend open after being closed for over 2 months so they also were giving 30% off on everything so this was a steal - I felt guilty paying so little for it! Thanks QT! read more

I walked over to ask to use their restroom and the clerk rudely told me there were no public restrooms. I then told her I just needed to wash my hands and contact since it fell out. I used to like it here. I've been a customer here since the late 90s. Now it seems that most of the employees are incompetent. That older blonde cashier is super rude to customers who cant speak english very well. I've witnessed it on more than one occasion. Some require I.D, some dont, you cant even tell where lines start. Best thrift store in the area! Resonable prices, discount days, large selection, and THE CLOTHES IS SEPARATED BY SIZE AND TYPE!!! I imagine it takes a lot of work to organize the clothes this way but it makes shopping for clothes so much easier compared with thrift stores that separate clothes by color! The housewares selection is small... But the clothes is racked by size which is a great time saver... I'm really into thriftiness now and I like to believe I have a good eye for stuff. This store is BIG and they are a lot of customers hustling around. They are even open until 6 on Sundays which a lot of thrift stores are not. They have a lot of clothes which i did not get a chance to look through because i got there a little late and they were almost closing. I just saw one shirt i saw interest in that was 6 or 7 dollars so i do not know what their average prices are. This shirt looked new and there were other ones just like it so maybe sometimes they bring in things from stores that don't want them anymore, kind of like a Ross. I was really happy to find vinyl records for a dollar since i have a couple projects in mind i want to do with them. i had been to two other thrift stores before getting to this one and couldn't find any. I thought it was standard for thrift stores to carry them, but who knew. Also, I found the craziest thing! I'm about to be an aunt for the first time so all baby things catch my eye. As I was going to check out I saw a brand new baby mickey rattle still in the box for a dollar, so naturally I grabbed it. Then my husband brought to my attention how old it was. I looked at the toy and engraved on the plastic toy it says 1984 and the box looks really vintage. So I scored an old toy that has never been open for a dollar. woo hoo!! Now my husband wants to sell it on eBay, but i still want to keep it. Definitely want to go back when I have time and look through all the clothes. read more

I've been shopping for here about 15 years or so now, can't really remember. This place has nice quality men's clothes at very affordable prices. I wish the prices were better sometimes but I'm cheap. My wife always find really good stuff for herself as well. Customer service is great, there is one cashier in particular that is very helpful in explaining the deals. And the fitting room staff is nice and helpful too, I've never had a problem here. I wish they helped their employees by updating their point of sales system. They have to manually enter the discount on each item, and they work so hard already. That would improve wait times but they always open up registers whenever the line gets to a few or more people so I've never really waited, I just think it will help the employees. This store is also super clean and has a nice smell. I always donate here too and it's very convenient and the guys are super helpful. read more

This place is huge. Kudos for being so organized. Much more so than other thrift stores. I did a quick walk through since I was just browsing and couldn't devote a fair amount of time and energy digging through the shelves and racks. Thrifting is an art form and requires an extensive amount of fervor and focus. I was able to pick up a few picture books for my son while browsing their book shelves. I will be sure to take my time, when I have time and when I decide to come back. Note: From what I noticed a lot of the clothing items were more up-to-date store brands (ie. old navy, H&M, etc) and gently used so prices were a reflection of that. I went here today for the first time. I have a few favorite thrift shops from when I was in high school up north, and have been looking for a place to fill the void that isn't Goodwill (expensive) or Salvation Army (dirty). While this place definitely has more of a Goodwill feel than the cute, little, borderline boutique-y (and dirt cheap) feel my go-to places up north have, I was instantly in love. The place is HUGE, but like another reviewer said, it can get crowded and the aisles are a little tight. I like the way the store is laid out, though, and I really like the way the sizes are separated! Everything is clean and in good condition, and the shop doesn't have that yard sale smell, which is already a nice change from the typical second hand store. They also have really good discounts for seniors, students and teachers on certain days of the week, as well as text message coupons you can opt into. The prices were good, too, especially compared to Goodwill. I purchased a blouse, headscarf and a packet of two barrettes for about $6. I love their little packets of things- takes me back to when I was a little girl going thrifting with my grandma, when I would buy a baggie of little plastic toys or trinkets or costume jewelry for a buck! Be careful, though, because everything is priced individually. This can be a good and bad thing, I guess. All in all, a pretty neat place to kill a boring weekend morning at. read more

I love to vintage shop but this is NOT the place to go. The limited amount of name brand vintage items are super over prized. I did end up buying over $50 dollars so after paying and entering my debit card and pin as well as the cashier printing out the receipt, I still had to wait five more minutes for the manager to come over and check the debit card and my id again! They say this is their store policy for purchases over $50 dollars. Oh and I got nasty attitude from both the cashier AND the store manager for asking why. I mean I paid, I entered my pin #, it was approved, I showed the cashier my drivers license so what's the problem? What's the hold up? Word to the wise, skip this place, there are so many other great places like Eco Thrift in Pomona or Community Thrift Store in Covina. read more

The clothes may be cheap, but the fact that there's always people there, makes the experience not worth it. It gets terribly crowded in the aisles that it makes it hard to get around. Especially in thrift stores, you WANT to go through every rack in every aisle. On the upside, they have good quality clothes for even under $1! read more

I worked here for one month and one word for any future applicants MICROMANAGEMENT. They do Not train properly then get easily upset and bothered when you don't get it right away. No realistic expectations for new employees constantly humiliating you in front of customers when you make a mistake. This management team that was supposed to train me and they failed failed. They gossip with other customers for long periods of time so when you need them for one of the million approval codes they take there sweet time and then blame you for not talking loud enough into the intercom. They are extremely Racist and biased as well. I am Mexican American and have tattoos and trust me this is a place for ppl who don't speak up for them selves and like to be treated like children. Supervisor are rude and unhelpful act nice but trust me they are the worst ppl to work for good luck to anyone else who has to deal with this. I will say the items they sell are awesome because they are donated by the community but the way they show appreciation for the ppl slaving in this hot building is extremely unprofessional. They need to get a college education and study business before they wanna run this place. That's for all upper management. As for the me I quit this place because I have self dignity and respect I know my worth. Ppl here are jealous and envious and rude. They need to update entire cash registers credit card readers and much more I cannot believe I was constantly blamed for their poor malfunctioning technology and embarrassed many times in from of customers also the person working there with personal problems Needs to stay home and take the time to grieve and stop taking out your anger and frustration on new employees take your time to grieve at home and get therapy Everyone in life has problems it doesn't make it OK for you to take it out on everybody and make me feel belittled and for all the other people who are extremely rude to me karma is a real b. This thrift store used to be by far the best one around. Unfortunately, it has become trendy, overly-crowded and picked over. I could never find anything good anymore in the clothing section and if it is a good item, it is overpriced. I hate that feeling of competing with others just to look through a clothing rack. Like I said, it is overly-crowded and pretty much a waste of time. The dressing room rules are so ridiculous - only allowing three items at a time. Please! Get with it you guys - it is not a high-end store! And even high-end stores like Anthropologie don't care how many items you take in with you and their prices are $100+ for each item! I've gone here over the years mainly for Halloween items and I have seen a steady rise in pricing particularly for items considered to be "boutique". I have a hard time buying that any item in a thrift store should be priced as high as these items are and many are never marked down! The artwork is also always overpriced. I generally believe that you should pay about double at a thrift store than you would at a yard sale because of overhead, etc. But they get these items donated to them, it just feels greedy that they price some things so high. Now I tend to go to Great Deals down the street or the Veterans store on Garey. Much better prices and still a decent selection. read more

One of the best thrift shops I've been to. The merchandise is in good condition and absolutely good prices for the items. Depending on the time of day you go, and if it's during discount days it might get a little packed. Isles are small which make it a little annoying to look through clothes. The amount of costumers have increased and I'm glad prices have stayed moderately low. My mom and aunt love this particular thrift shop, been shopping there for years.
