I got here at exactly 11:55 and waited for a long time for them to open and they never did. they only open on the weekends for the market events and I'm here on a Tuesday while they're taking forever. pretty upset read more

They close when they feel like it. Doesn't matter that their hours are posted on the front. The cashier girl with the glasses is crazy rude.. better going to a different thrift shop than this one.. a lot of their merchandise is just plain T-shirts with a logo they put on themselves. So Not worth wasting your money here. read more

always such a fun selection! i usually stop in during the artwalks where there seems to be even better deals (once had a HUGE selection of jeans for $10!) staff is friendly, helpful and there are items for all budgets. i have found some great items in the $5/$10 racks. the regularly priced items are still a great deal in my opinion-- $25 for a super unique and gently used vintage silk bomber jacket is great and what i would pay if i got it on a resale site, but without the cost of shipping. lots of different kinds of accessories and clothing, for both men and women. always gotta stop by when im in pomona! read more

Girl that works there always has a bad attitude, when I left the store she came out to follow me to see if I stole anything. Absolutely insane. The owner is nice but the girl with the glasses always is in a bad mood, it ruins the atmosphere of the store. The one in Claremont is better service wise. At least there they don't follow you outside the store. That's so insane to me. read more

We stop by any time we're at a second Sat art walk or going to a Glass House concert. Cool space, fun to look around. I agree with other reviews that say the items for sale are somewhat overpriced. A couple times we've found something good in the $5 or $10 sales rack that they put out front on weekends. It's a fun place to visit anyhow, so check it out! read more

I've been to this location multiple days at various times of day, they are never open! I was recommended by the sister shop in Claremont. She said there's more vintage gear at the larger location but how can you make money when you are never open!?!? read more

It's Sunday at 5p and the owner of the shop decided to close. I knocked a few times but he completely ignored me. I stepped outside to take a phone call and when I went to go back it was locked! I drove 20miles to get here. read more

We miss coming to the store! We've been coming down every afternoon this week but it's been closed. It's still worth it for the possibility that it's open because it's our favorite vintage. If there is any way to post a sign on your front door so we know when to try back. read more

So excited to come check this place out. It looks very interesting from the outside. Came here on a sat night and definitely won't be back. I personally felt like the prices were a bit overpriced. I understand "vintage" costs a bit but c'mon 15 for a faded shirt!! I'll rAther Pay an extra few bucks for a new one (brand was not vintage btw) scoped the whole place and still didn't find anything interesting. Saw a lot of people walking in and walking right back outside. The shoes section was a bit small. The purse section was barely any. Hair clips for $5 when the same ones cost way less. It's worth a shot to come see... maybe you will find something interesting. read more

Every time we come here during business hours, it's never open. At least update your business hours for people who actually want to check your shop out.. read more

This store has a lot of cool stuff, some overpriced, in my old lady opinion. My review today is regarding the horrible customer service I just received. I stood around waiting for at least ten minutes - waiting for the store employee to appear. When she finally did, she walked right past me and out the door of the shop, without acknowledging us at all. She was talking on her cellphone. (I probably should have just left at that point but we were there for a very specific item and didn't want to risk having it picked up by someone else before we came back.) This young woman was visibly annoyed at having to ring up my purchase. I asked about another item that was behind the glass counter. She was dismissive and gave me a price that ended up being $5 higher that it turned out to actually be. She snapped at me about it. When she rang up my purchase she added an extra $10 to the total. She said she had no idea how it happened when I questioned the amount. All in all, if my experience with this shop was limited to this one trip, I would never go back. For now I'll just avoid going in if I see her there alone. read more

i've been to this store before a couple years back and since i was in downtown pomona i was looking forward to checking it out again to see what they offer. unfortunately the store remained closed for the 2 hours we spend in downtown. we kept circling around to check if they would open bc the hours said 12pm but even by 1:40 ish was still closed. super disappointed :( read more

First time coming to La Bomba it's a pretty big store. It has lost of pretty 60s 70s and even 80s style of clothing. I got invited to a 80s theme birthday party and was looking for a 80s outfit for the party. Once I came in I was Overwhelmed of all of the clothing they have. I meet Jason that works there helped me so much. He helped me find a nice outfit. I thank him so much. Can't wait to come back and shop here again. read more

Pretty bummed out to see that when i got there, it was closed. Saw the store hours on the door and on yelp and they said they were open Sundays but nope. I really wanted to check this spot out so bad too and finally had the time to do so. Oh well, maybe the next time i have some free time, i can check it out and hope they're open. PS: i came to the store around 1:30p and they said they were open at noon. read more

This place is hipster heaven! They have so many retro and vintage clothing here. Prices are kind of pricey but they usually have the harder things to find...and usually a lot cleaner. I love the staff. Workers are always so friendly and welcoming. I am glad they are still in business and I hope they stay in business for many years to come. Its only of my favorite place to go to when Im at DTP. I always stop by just to check out if they got any new old members only jackets. Just an awesome place to buy awesome things. read more

La Bomba - Love their vintage book collection! - Used, Vintage & Consignment Near Me - Pomona, California

If you ever have time to kill before a show at the Glass House, you could stop in here, they are usually open... I have been shopping here since I was in high school. Their selection ranges mostly from the 1930s (sometimes even earlier) to the 1980s, with some pretty trippy psychedelic dresses and jumpsuits from the 60s and 70s. They usually carry a selection of gorgeous lace and chiffon cocktail and prom dresses from the 50s and 60s. These are usually the highest priced items in the store, based on their condition--if they have defects though, they will be priced significantly lower! They have a great selection of quirky small t-shirts for ectomorphic hipster boys and girls, as well as many super cool Fight Club style man leather jackets. Lots of men's polyester as well. And of course, the SHOES! Shoes line the racks here, and there really are some beautiful finds from all decades, in all shapes and sizes. You won't find much vintage jewelry here, and if you do it will likely be way over-priced. Overall? A very cool space. read more

I'm always disappointed when I come here. It's definitely got a cool vibe which will attract you in and the staff won't bug you but they're all very friendly. However, in regards to the merchandise, it's generally overpriced especially for the quality. The shoes are pretty worn down and it's not uncommon to discover buttons missing or stains on the clothing. I understand that they're vintage and not really thrift so higher prices are expected but I've found better quality clothing of the same era for cheaper prices at other places like Goodwill. read more

The people here give attitude toward anyone that walks in. I went with some friends and this guy kept keeping an eye on us only like we were going to steal. We wanted to check out the back but he blocked us off from going there and was rude about it. I just want to check out the place and have fun read more

La Bomba is amazing.. My friends own this place.. Which has other locations.... Google it.. I really do like the Long Beach location more so.. Especially the pile sales... (get on the email list for that)... Anyhow this shop doesn't sell shitty torn stained clothing. Everything is carefully chosen and is good... The shoe selection is good and they also have stuff for the boys here as well... What's even better is that they stay open late when there are shows at the Glass House or events in the area.. If you are ever in Silver Lake be sure to check out their other store which goes by a different name. Replay... read more

I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love LA BOMBA. I swear, these were one of the places growing up that made life LIVABLE. Right across from the Glass House, this place does NOT cater to "hipsters" or "young punky kids". It's more of an in between. WAY cheaper than Melrose Vintage stores, I like to view this as a GREAT choice for those wanting vintage, need moderately good choices in wear, AND affordable prices. They also have several sister spots (one in Silver Lake and one in Long Beach!) Go I say! Go!... Next time you're in Pomona country that is. read more

On my way to the Collectors Street Faire I decided to stop by this vintage thrift store. I had heard about this place before and since I was in the area I figured why not. Upon walking in you can already get that hipster vibe to it. Different kind of prints, buncha different fabric textures, all kinds of vintage decor. I wasn't expecting anything but I ended up spending a lot of time in there. Their selection is great. Not big mens selection but they had enough items to have my attention. Tons of old members only, tons of leather jackets, decent selection of dress shirts, and ties and other accessories. The only downfall of this place is that the prices are hipster prices. For a buncha old vintage thrift clothing they sure do jack up the prices. I paid nearly 20 bucks for an old red dress shirt that I found. Ridiculous but they know their target market and they know what is nice so I guess that justifies it? But man I would have bought so much if the prices were cheaper. I only rummaged through the mens selection but they had a large female selection so be sure to check them out. I will definitely come back when I have more money to buy some more items. The cashier is a cutie. read more

This might be the most organized vintage clothing store in history. I am always in love with it, they have an amazing selection of great clothes, accessories, and shoes. It's everything you want in a vintage clothing store because of how well it is organized and the incredible selection. It can get a little pricey here and there but it is totally worth it. All the items are always in excellent condition which is a huge plus when vintage shopping and honestly they have the best selection of vintage shoes I have ever seen in the inland empire. read more

I grew up in Whittier, and due to the plethora of vintage stores Uptown, I spent my high school days decked out in old polyester button-downs, little boys Chuck E. Cheese t-shirts, polyester leisure suit pants, embroidered peasant blouses and hippie broomstick skirts. These days Uptown Whittier just doesn't have the appeal it did in the '90s. The vintage shops aren't as awesome, and they are fewer and farther between. Enter La Bomba in Pomona. I walk inside, and I feel like a teenager again. There is gold to be found in this store. Krisztina V. found a pair of '60s-era Beatle boots that fit her like a glove for only $10. And they are in perfect condition. The guy who runs the shop is super nice, and pretty knowledgeable about the stuff. It's downright impressive. read more

My husband purchased a hard find here. We had been looking for an original tail coat and happen to find it here for only $99. It was a rare 1930's vintage tail coat and was perfect for my husband's entertainment attire. The cons: It is generally a bit over priced for being a used clothing store and they are closed at random times when they have a set schedule on their door. But when you are looking for something specific, it's there :-) read more

I enjoyed the unique vibe... I feel like this would be the ideal place for any "pretty in pink" fans out there. I was pleasantly surprised that this space was pretty open and had a lot of neat things to look at. read more

This place is awesome and filled with all the most obnoxious prints, just the way I love it.

This clothing store is, so over rated most people go wild over the simplest things. The major turn off was their over priced poor quality vintage clothing I would rather go to the Antiques shops around the area. They have similar items to match. To be fair this place might have few hidden treasures that will cost an arm and a leg. read more

I have gotten two (count em - 2!) pairs of vintage Salvatore Ferragamo pumps from La Bomba. One for $20, the other for $12. Hot dog!

Came up to see Hot Water Music at The Glasshouse a few weeks ago and was very pleased to see La Bomba on the side of the street as we looked for parking. It was nice to be able to kill sometime inside before going in for the concert. Some of their stuff was whacky tacky but someones bound to like it. I ended up finding a cool 60's dress that I fell in love with for only $22 bucks. A score in my book! La Bomba, I hope your shop is still there the next time I roll through the inland empire! read more

I love this place. I go here maybe twice out of the year to have a vintage shopping spree. A real treat to myself the pieces I get here I don't see anywhere else. If your looking for something to wear to a theme party this place is perfect or just wanting a unique piece. The guy that works there is really nice he helped me look for a piece for a party. I enjoy shopping here. read more

Cool place to browse for vintage clothing. I found some 80s attire here that I'm planning to wear for an 80s party. Definitely brought back memories of what I used to wear (don't know if that's good or bad). Service was really good and the staff helpful. If you're in the market for vintage clothing for any reason, come here. read more

It's a really chill spot. The only reason why I give it three stars is because of the prices - they really kind of turn me off. There are a pair of boots though that I'm eyeing, but that's it. Everything else is like forty bucks for a shirt. Other than the price it's really organized, clean and I love looking through everything! read more

Expensive and the items are all damaged. My own fault for not checking carefully. Both scarves and the dress I bought were torn. Dress cost $18 and the scarves were each $5. Could have bought better stuff at that price. One star for convenient location and cool vibes. read more

Nothing here fits, especially if you are size 0-2 like me. People that work here are nice, but they really need a better buyer. One positive thing about this store is that it's actually vintage.... 80% of it is vintage. The other 20% is THRIFT. But they charge you accordingly. read more

This is located in a great place and looks super nice. It is very clean in the inside and their clothes are ehh. The prices are not that great. I think just because it's located in 2nd street it raises thier prices. Its a nice place to just go look but they have very vintage and sometimes weird clothes. But to buy, not worth it. read more

Neat vintage store, great cutomer service! found a 70's shirt for my husband for only $15.00.

I needed an entire disco/1970s getup for a fundraiser I was attending. I didn't have the time to roll thrift store to thrift store looking for bargain-priced diamonds in the rough. Nor did I have the budget, patience, or time to head straight to a high-dollar vintage store on Melrose catering to fat-walleted Japanese tourists. But as soon as I walked into La Bomba I knew I had come to the right place. The selection of both men's and women's vintage clothes was sensational (and men's pickings were slim in the rest of the antique district). And Albert, who was on duty that day, was instrumental in helping me out. He was super helpful and friendly the whole time. read more

This is like the coolest store ever the owner of the store is very friendly and helpful. He takes the time out for every customer who walks in the door. They offer a wide verity of clothed shoes, sunglasses, very old vintage reading glasses, jewelery ......I mean like wow you name it it's got to be here.......and the customers that I have talked to in the store have been coming here sense it first opened up I think that was like back in 1999 ..if you have not been here yet and you love vintage like we do then your missing out BIG TIME & don't forget to stop and check out there other locations ( replay in Silver Lake & Claremont and the La Bomba in Long beach read more
